Sundaya Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sundaya Morning

Postby Colliemom » Sun Jan 27, 2013 7:26 am

Good Morning from the 45th,

Cloudy here this morning. Looks like a week of crappy weather coming up. Snow showers late today, turnng into a wintery mix tomorrow morning, followed by freezing drizzle. Rest of week looks like showers than snow showers with highs ranging from mid 40's to mid teens as the week progresses into February  Won't be seeing any groundhog shadows in this neck of the woods.

Today is the day that the last of the ladies and even gents are rolling into the park for the big GTG. With luck, Grandmamaggie should be joining them by late tomorrow or next morning, as soon as she get a new water pump installed. I can just feel the frustration of having to wait when one would rather be on the road. Am looking forward to hearing about all the fun and adventures and of course the pics :)

Congratulations Ava on paying off you rig and car. You worked hard for that and gave up a lot. Now you can start your dream. YOU GO GIRL!

I'm still at the dream stage yet, but after doing a little catching up with Introductions and Show off Your Rigs, I see that "Three Dogs" a new gal, has decided to remodel and outfit a Chevy van as her rig and that is something i have also been considering. So will be watching for more pictures from her. That would be perfect for what i want to do.

Nothing much on the breakfast bar this mornng, sorry. Guess Lori will have to make some muffins. I have eggs, sausage, toast and OJ here though if anybodys' interested, but they are all down in FL probably sampling different foods etc. as eating is a big part of the GTG's as we all know, whether or not we've been to one

Welll, time to run along here. Church this morning followed by a run to store for a few things. Hope you all have a wonderful and fun day at the GTG or wherever you happen to be. Those on the road, stay safe.

Good morning Sue and all to follow.

It sure sounds like you are going to have a pretty quiet week with all that snow and ice moving in. How is Tessa doing this morning? I sure have been worried about her.

I am having so much fun here at the GTG. Was sitting outside yesterday afternoon with the dogs. Looked up at the sky and realized I was completely relaxed. Deep down in my soul relaxed. I have not felt like that for so long now. There were absolutely no worries going through my mind. Didn't even know what time it was and could have cared less. It was a wonderful feeling. I hope I can hang onto that feeling. This was exactly what Chuck had wanted for me and I felt he was happy.

Lots of ladies due in today. Will get to meet up with Sarah and Wendy again. Will finally get to meet Liz, Soos, Nan, Carolb and a lot of others I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet.

Going to go get another cup of coffee. Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

HERE WE COME!!!

Kathy and I are in the process of packing and stowing and unhooking and preparing to hit the road. I just read the checkin time is 3:00pm, so we have no need to rush. I just found out there are no sewer hookups, so that porta potty I took to Goog's barn yesterday shall be retrieved and will come with me. I certainly have no way to hitch and haul to a dump while there, and we both use the facilities constantly, both day and night. I am really not happy about that, as I thought full facility meant sewer, too. Oh well----I can carry the porta potty to the bathrooms each day to dump on their toilets. Now I hope there are some over-the-air TV stations and that Verizon has access there so I can use my WiFi device. Perhaps I should have read the qualifications better for this park....I think I would have chosen a different one. Forgive me, y'all.

BUT, we shall be there as close to 3 as possible today, party clothes on! I have no plans for any food or anything at this point, and will settle for a peanut butter sandwich which I will make for tonight after the ordeal of backing to my site has settled down! That, and perhaps I will make us all some Recipe!

Look out Hillsborough----here we come!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Soos, no apologies necessary. I love this park. It has had lots to see and do everyday. I have a dump buddy you are welcome to use. It's not unusual for State Parks to not have sewer hookups. The park does say you can only use dump buddies for grey water, though. I cannot wait for you guys to get here. I have the Women's RV banner to bring down to your site when you get here. Will be watching for you to get here.

Good morning everyone...
Weather doesn't sounds like much fun in your neck of the woods, Sue. Wish we could get some of that moisture - (In rain form though).
Dawn, Reading your post this morning touched my heart... will pray that you are able to hold onto that peace & experience it often. :D
Lori, sausage & french toast sounds great - I'll be over in a bit.
Soos, hope you have a safe drive - looks like everyone is enjoying themselves. I wouldn't worry about the cg - being together is what really counts.

Loving the pics, everyone. Thanks for letting the rest of us join in the fun.
Carolb, Loved seeing you & HarBor - you look great as does he! :D Meeting everyone virtually is fun too - but meeting in person can't be beat! Someday... someday... Hopefully this spring & summer I'd head out some & meet more of this group... ;)
Well, going to get my second cup of coffee & get moving...
Enjoy the day! (Glad the bail money is available)

I am finally up and going to try to get in a couple of hours of work before the festivities start--whatever festivities there are. Watching people leave since this is SUnday and looks like a lot of local folks and families here. Chilly this morning, but will warm up to 80.

There are about 60 air TV stations here, Soos. I could not get satellite, but the air is fine. Sorry you will have to bring portapotty.

OK, will only have a little time for work. Dawn stopped by and we are going to a fort tour in a bit. I am glad she rented a golf cart. I may do the same for tomorrow because this is a big place. We can share rides that way.

More later and photos...

Weather here in Tucson is glorious. Blue skies, puff white clouds, temp in the high 70s. We are still resting. I'm on the end of this cold, feeling much better. DH still at worse part, sleeping a lot. The hot water soaks seem to help me feel better.

The FL gtg is in full swing. Love the photos. Looking forward to more. Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Soos, you can use your bathroom and dump when you leave. I love that cg and think you couldn't have chosen better.

Dawn, your post made me so happy. How wonderful that you are relaxed and comfortable in your own skin. I'm so happy to read that.

Nothing much planned today. Just watching the gtg thread to see what mischief all you in FL get into.

We have come back to Salome with Le Roy's truck to pick up a few things. I have 4 loads of laundry going.

Dawn, I am thrilled for you finding relaxation! I have found that out in the desert this past week. Really did not want to come back here even for a day.

So excited for all of you in Florida! Sorry some had to change their plans.

Have a wonderful day

good morning ladies
Dawn, its good to read your post that you are finally getting to relax and be stress free.
I'm tickled to see the gtg in Fl is off to a fine start, now to see what trouble ya'll get into.
It will be a quiet day around here, rained all day yesterday and today will be much of the same.
Actually, its supposed to rain until about w or th, a couple days of sunshine and then rain again.
I don't recall having that many days of rain ever in AZ, usually we get the flooding monsoons
that drop a ton of water in minutes and disappear. This weather feels like Seattle, except its
not real cold, am thankful for that.
Spent yesterday afternoon rolling coins from the pop machine and half of that time was fixing
the dang machine as a nickle got stuck in the dime chute. Son went and bought a new one
but I'm not too crazy about the new one. It runs on battery so that means I'll have to buy
batteries all the time. :|
Also spent some time in chat with daughter planning the wedding and she sent me a picture
of her dress, I swore I wouldn't show anyone so thats a big secret, all I can say is that its
beautiful, shoulderless, simple with a semi long train, just enough to drag. Think she's pretty
much decided on Calumet park but that could always change. Calumet is grass. She wanted
the beach but they are booked up a year in advance and the permits are really expensive.
Guess I'm rambling, ya'll have a great day, be safe and be warm.

Morning All! There is coffee brewing here. First off! Thank you so much for the pictures of the GTG..well all the pictures even if they’re not taken at a GTG! I just love them…keep them coming! They add joy to my rather mundane life. Although the picture of Red in the hot tub makes me want to reach out and wipe that smile right off her face! :D ARGHHH. Makes me so jealous!

Sue…brace yourself! The rain is coming. It started here about 7:30. Radar just ran out to do her business and did a skid across the patio. We need the moisture so very bad, but I hate to see if come in the form of freezing rain. Just hope we keep our power through it. If it’s really icy in the morning I think I’ll be saying “No way Jose” on going to work right at 7:00 and will wait for the sanders to go out.

Soos..how big is your black water tank? Usually they are at least 30 gallons…not to be gross (however, I am and will try to be delicate) but that’s a heck of a lot of “recycled recipe”! We’ve gone as long as 9 days without dumping….but we have a 50 gallon black water. I have never camped with full hook-ups. We do try to use the restrooms as much as possible but a lot of times at my age sometimes I have to consider the distance and the embarrassment of possibly wetting my pants on the way! We also put the lightly used TP in the garbage can to save on tank space and using as much flushing water.

Well I pretty much wasted all day yesterday so I’d better get something accomplished today. My dirty little secret is that the only thing I did yesterday was get the Christmas tree down. Hey…the decorations had been off and stored for over two weeks…but I got the flu and didn’t have the ambition to take the tree apart and get it in the storage bag. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Now I have to find the box for the Nativity and get the pieces wrapping and stored. However where it is displayed right now is where I usually have my Last Supper plaque on a plate stand. So my theory is that it doesn't matter which event is being displayed...that is my Jesus spot and he’s either coming or going. ;)

Have a good day all.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.
