A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Ava and Kathleen. Success is always such a wonderful feeling. Keep it up ladies.

I managed to get more stuff put away yesterday; not good yet but it is beginning to look better in here. Need a few more plastic bins to finish up, that will have to wait for a shopping trip. Need to see if things will stay put when I drive again tomorrow. Have already had one hard lesson about opening cabinet to have things fall out.

Woke up again during night cold. My internal temperature gage is on fritz - bouncing between hot flash type symptoms and hard chills - been doing that for a while now. totally out of line with what real temps are like. Forecast is for low 70s here this afternoon but unless the clouds go away not sure it will get that high, strong breeze isn't helping either. Need to wash my hair this afternoon; hoping the concrete block bath house will warm up some for that.

Last night news reported that fresh produce prices are expected to take big jump in price starting this week due to freeze in CA and gas prices. Said most fresh fruit and veggies will at least double in price with some items going up by 400%. They gave several examples but the only one I remember was the bagged salad greens going from $3 something to $8 something.

Don't forget to watch for the full Wolf moon tonight.

Nothing going on here. Just cold At least January is almost over and February is our last cold month up here. March starts getting warmer. We desperately need snow or rain (in spring) to bring the lake levels up. People here are worried they won't be able to park their boats at their docks this coming season because of the low lake levels. It is dry out to the ends of the docks here too.

Huge congrats to Ava and Kathleen!!

Rain, rain, and more rain. We got home yesterday and had things all put away just as the rain started.

We went to do all the tank chores yesterday and then stopped at a solar place for info. Took the truck and camper to be weighed - I am not too much over on the back axle but enough that I will do some serious unloading and rearranging. Decided to stop at the big tent to ask more solar questions. I still can't believe L thought he could drive through the thick gravel in the wash! I voiced my reservations, but he got the camper stuck. He rode my fold up bike back to camp, got his truck and I pulled the camper out.

I will be getting a solar panel next week.

A day for staying in with the rain. Since the original plan was that LeRoy would be going back to Salome before going to Yuma, he didn't come prepared to be away so much longer. We will take his truck back to the park tomorrow to get what he needs and hopefully, I can have use of washing machines and dryers!!

Another great GTG in Florida! Will be looking for photos! And don't forget the group photo

Ava, I believe you are the most determined person I know !!!!!!! Good for you, for sticking it out and at times I know it must have been hard !!! I read your to do list, seems you still have a lot ahead of you to accomplish, But if anyone can do all of that, I'm sure it's you!! Like Karen, I got tired reading all you want to do, but I'm pulling for you and will be checking for updates.

Kathleen, sounds like you are off to a good start, glad you have found some green tea you like. I drink just plain decaf green tea and enjoy it. No drs orders I just like it. Taste buds are different but I think I would like yours as I enjoy most herb teas too. Keep us posted and hey 1 lb or 10 all is good, as long as its going down

Little late for breakfast, but have been out & about...
Ran to store early - so nice on the way back (34 degrees - remember its' all relative) that I decided to take a walk on a wooded walkway - so nice to hear the birds again. Realized walking back to the car it isn't springtime - next time put gloves on
Looking forward to a nice day here in KC - up to 50 maybe 60 tomorrow & hopefully rain!
Sounds like things are humming in FL for the GTG. Love reading about it - looking forward to the pics that we know will be coming.
Ava, what an accomplishment!!! Time for the happy dance! - but being followed up by a wedding - yikes! My son & DIL paid for their own last year. We covered the rehearsal dinner & her parents made her wedding & reception dresses along with providing alot of the entertainment - but the kids covered the rest. I think anything goes now. (Hope my younger daughter paid attention on how they did that but probably not )

I told the story of how I ended up on the 11 p.m. news on Facebook. But it was all very innocent. It was the UF mascot Gator at a big event for the American Cancer Society, at the Lady Gators Gymnastics meet against Auburn. Don't I look innocent?


Today I stowed my stuff, dumped the tanks, unhooked the RV and went to fill up with gas and propane. Then I rehooked just the electric and attached the Fit so tomorrow after church it'll be a cinch to get on the road to the GTG. Thistle knows something's up, he's been very excitable. He doesn't know a bath is on his getting-ready list for today.
