Hello from North Carolina

Come on in and say hello.

Hello from North Carolina

Postby bbbarker194 » Wed Jan 23, 2013 6:45 pm

Hi,

My name is Barbara. My partner and I have a 2001 National RV Sea Breeze 5th Wheel that we pull with a Ford F-350 dually. We live in our RV most of the time, but are currently at home in North Carolina. We will head back out in March or April.

I am a retired educator and my partner works part-time at REI (Recreational Equipment Incorporated). We travel to and live in cities/towns that have an REI. While there we kayak, bike, hike, backpack, visit National Park, and so on. We are hoping to go to Medford, Oregon this spring.

There's an REI in Houston - know it well!!!! LOL Welcome to the group.

And actually, I bought an REI tent 2 months before I bought my trailer so I can still do tent camping when the need calls for it.

Welcome to the forum. I have found that it isn't safe for me to go into REI stores without supervision. :) Way too many attractive toys.....

Welcome from the left coast...and another one who shouldn't be left w/o supervision in an REI store! Hope to meet you on the road one of these days. I was just in NC last summer, Ashville to be exact. Fell in love, but not enough to go thru a winter there, altho I have a good friend there now.

Hello Barabara. Welcome to the forum. You live in a beautiful state as I have been through there, in the Blue Ridge and a bit in the southeastern part. I know you will enjoy the forum and feel free to jump in anytime.

Hi Barbara,

I'm an NC native currently living in Belize but with RV dreams that will hopefully be fulfilled in 2013. My husband and I used to wear out our REI Visa card when we lived in North Carolina. Where in NC are you? We lived in rural Orange County (near Efland) for 10 years before moving to Chapel Hill for 14 months before making the move to Belize. After a year and a half here, we have had all the adventures we craved and are ready for the next one -- traveling in the US, especially in the west, since we've mostly traveled in the east in the past.

Welcome to the forum!
