FRIDAY AND WE'RE OFF!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

FRIDAY AND WE'RE OFF!

Postby Nasoosie » Fri Jan 25, 2013 7:50 am

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Warmer outside this morning, although humid and a bit foggy.

We are packed with everything we need, and, I am sure, much we don't need! We will head to St. Cloud and my last doc appointment for zapping at about 8:30, or so. Then on to the trailer and the last minute stuff to do there----check tire air pressure, battery water, etc.-----then hook up for sunday departure to the campground!

No time for gabbing, but I will try to stay in touch as often as possible.

Off we go----happy Friday to all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Hmmm I'm glad Lori wasn't the opener this morning--HOPE it means she's getting some SLEEP!!! Poor Spinnie--hope he's feeling better! Sch a sweet boy :P Soos shoold be done with zapping by now & on her way to load her rig? Yes, Catherine, it is soooo exciting to be preparing for the GTG, looking forward to meeting everyone!

Had another great day with my neighbors Irmi, Steve & Teddy! Will see them again today to do more shopping for the GTG--they leave tomorrow, I'll be there on Sonday. Looks like it may work owt for me to stay 3 nights! :P

This morning, I'm going to a different repair shop to have them listen to HB--he's still sqwealing. As is typcial, I've probably been "taken" by a repair shop--I hold my head high tho, since they'll be the ones that have to answer at the Pearly Gates! "Why did yew take advantage of that poor gray-haired lady??"

Fog has lifted, another perfect FL day! Hope y'all are safe whether traveling or sitting! Will see many of yew soon--do wish yew were going to be there Lori & crew. HEY, no word from BJ lately? Hope she's on her way & not cawght in a midwest snow storm???? Y'all have a great day!!!!

Good morning Soos, Catherine, Lori and all to follow. I am sitting here looking out my window at the FL GTG. Going to check the thread to see who is due in today. I am pretty sure there was at least one. There is supposed to be a Tram Tour this evening put on by the Rangers. I am going to try to get a seat on that. It would be really interesting, I would think. After I get my breakfast and shower, think I will take at least one of the dogs for a walk and do some exploring. I need to get my bearings and visualize where everyone is going to be after they get here.

The only problem we had after getting here, was getting a satellite signal. Paul wanted me to tell the forum that he is a genius.  He still teases me about trying to give him away last year to you all. He found a very small window of sky through the trees and after several hours did get us both hooked up with signal. We ended up having to use his disk and tripod. I could not get a signal from my roof satellite or the portable dome. We could almost get signal with the dome, but then it would go away again. I don't have satellite in my bedroom, but am glad to have it in the living room. Otherwise, I would have missed Grey's Anatomy last night and that would not have been good.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good Morning !! Excitement in the air !!! Busy, busy people,. Lori, I'm so glad Spinner is feeling better, think it was time all of you had a good night. Nothing like a good nights sleep, I've had several really good ones this week, which is unusual for me to get more then 5 or 6 hrs.. More then that is great for me.

Carolb, mentioning BJ, I haven't even seen her on FB, hope she is on her way. Weather doesn't seem to good in the northern states. Thought of Sue,(colliemom) real early this morning when I heard of Mi weather, hope she can let us know how it is for her in her area.

Here's food for some minds out there! Guy behind me yesterday offered to take me around to do any errands I might need to do, he noticed I didn't have a tow. Possibly an advantage to not having a tow????????  (he is alone)

Must get me moving, the day already is. Excited to see some of you soon, Hoping to meet more of you in the coming year.

Take care, Have a great day, those on the roads, Safe travels,
Oh Donna, tried to post and there you were, don't know problem, but hoping not keeping you from GTG, gotta go see

Good morning all! Sarah and I have decided to just Stay here unti; the gtginstead of moving just a wats down the road.Another reason that is good is that every time I stop I find aomething else broken. You can all be placing bets for what I find when I get there for entertainment! I wont say what choices are already taken to make the game more interesting! Everyone have a SAFE FUN day! Wendy

Wendy, the important issue is that you are still moving forward in the long haul. Bumps in the road do not keep you down! Yea! :D

Morning everyone! Sounds like all the travelers are well on their way to the FL GTG. I'm jealous that I still have that 4-letter word in my life, but I have to pay for my funtimes!

Well Carol, it's not as cold as it's been this week with one day actually making it to a whopping 11 degrees  the rest staying around 5 if even that, plus the wind and the snow for 4 fdays. I think we probably got about 6-8 inches total over that time span. I didn't even go out to blow the stuff till yesterday. Couildn't get in the mood. But yesterday the sun was out and a bright blue sky all day although the temp hovered aruond 7 most of the day. It's now cloudy with some snow movng in again, but it's up to about 18 degrees right now, so we are coming out of the deep freeze. Should be in the low 30's by beginning of week before another arctic blast hits on Wednesday. I have to admit that this winter is the first that I wish I were elsewhere. After taking that month into the U.P., I didn't miss this place at all and am so ready to head out again. Supposed that's an indication that maybe I should sell and hit the road for a year? I seem to be happiest when I can hit that open road.

And reading about everybody getting ready to head to or already at the FL GTG makes me realize all the fun I am missing. Sound like it was a great time at Q as well and I enjoyed the pictures. Soos, happy travels and am looking forward to hearing all about it when you get back. I can just feel the excitement in your post. Sound like Judy is 'cleaning house" and will be having some things to give away at the GTG. I'm sure there are some fairly new people who could use some of it.

Am having a hard time getting Ms Tessa to eat this week. She's not interested whatsoever in the diet food she need sto have and is also not really intrested in food period. Not goo sign. Been spending more time sleeping than anything. The potassium tabs have booster her energy level a bit, and the past two days she has been a bit more active including going for a walk with Sassy and I yesterday, but today she is back to the sleeping in her bed thing. I think the kidney disease is taking it's toll slow but sure.

Well, gonna go read some other posts and such on the forum here including grammymaggie's post in mechanical and see what her problem was the deflated her excitement. Take care all and safe travels to the FL GTG.

Oh yes, for those of you who are traveling around while you are coming and going from the deep south, check out this website. I jsut read an article on this in Trailer Life's July 2009 issues and it sounds like it would be a very interest thing to take some time out and do. www.presidentialpathways.com

Glad to hear from you Sue. So sorry to hear about Tessa. Your reference to "Little White House" in Ga. Is a good idea for some. I loved it years ago, history there that's where FDR died, house tour you see bed he died in. Good stopover going up hwy 27.

Glad you're ok,
