It's Up Early Again, Thurday...

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It's Up Early Again, Thurday...

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Thu Jan 24, 2013 3:53 am

Okay, I've had enough of this early morning stuff.... Up at 3AM again today with Ernie saying in my ear "I'm a good Alpha Daddy Dog...I'm a good Alpha Daddy Dog....Grrrr..." Seems Spinner thinks that 2:30am is a good time for a potty walk.... Well, he did have that stomach issue yesterday....Then, of course, he found something to bark at after Ernie got back into bed....so I am taking my turn now so Ernie can go back to sleep....but I did get 5 hours sleep.... ;) Okay, enough of the early morning adventures here...

Have a trip with our friend, Cathy, today to visit a KOA & GA State Park.....Since she's the CG manager here, she likes to check out the neighboring CGs where she refers folks to when it's filled up here....good customer service.... ;) and it gives us a good reason for a girls lunch out.... ;)

See the FL GTG folks are either at the venue or will be arriving in the next few days....Drive safely and enjoy...

All right, the coffee's ready....muffins again today... ;)

Have a great day, all..

Lori, sounds like spinner needs a good talking to!

Cold cold cold here again today. Enough already! Had a very light dusting of snow overnight too, but not enough to delay school. Having lunch with my BFF today, and then will try to hit the grocery store. Downloaded the shred diet plan to my iPad yesterday. Think I'm going to give it a try. It's a 6 week plan, eating every 3 - 4 hours with snacks in between. Certainly won't be hungry!

Took the jeep in yesterday for its 30k maintenance. Cha Ching! But necessary. They gave me a mini van for a rental...first experience driving one. Wasn't impressed. Without a big family or big cargo load (or big animals) just seems like an awful waste of space.

Need to get my breakfast. Baked a blueberry coffee cake last evening, so there is plenty if anyone is interested. Help yourself!

Good morning ladies, trying to decide wheter to go outside in my bathrobe. Pepper is patiently waiting while I drink my coffee. He really is a good boy. I hope nothing breaks today!

Good morning everyone. Lori, I feel your pain. The first week of this trip Ryler needed a walk at 2 or 3 am during that terrible cold front. Most times I could fall back into bed and go back to sleep, but other mornings, agg  I don't know why, but we are back in sync now. Hope Spinner gets back in sync soon.

It is not suppose to rain till tomorrow. but as I sit here I am hearing rain drops. Yesterday DH met some other guys and shot trap and skeet all day and had a good time. I had the truck and drove down to ASU Tempe and had lunch with my cousin. So much fun to catch up. Then a girls night with my friend of 30 years. We worked together and were BFF back in Hawaii. We had so much fun catching up as well. Today, depending on the weather, DH will shoot again and I'm gonna lay low. I'm battling a cold...hope it's just a cold. Back to bed and sleep. :P

Hope everyone has a good day and stay safe if you are on the road. Aloha y'all

Lori - that is exactly why I now have a doggie door on the sticks and bricks - got tired of the 3 am potty breaks. And we now pretty well have the dogs trained that they do not NEED to go out in the middle of the night when camping. Now if one of us makes the mistake of rolling over, they may think it's time to play - whole other story!

But even while on vacation and me needing the middle of the night trips, they usually barely even raised their heads - "quit disturbing me!!!"

Really bad fog the last two mornings has made the morning commute fun, but otherwise, we have had great weather - in the 70's and mostly sunny! Loving it!

Another chilly morning in Normal... I guess I am really blessed Shadow does not get up until I do in fact today he patiently waited while I got my shower before he went out.. now he is all fed watered and sitting on my feet...
My daughter Margie's recovery is going slow... she is very tired... she has to take a couple of naps a day not usual for her... She will come and take me to the eye doctor this afternoon then to Kroger for the lovely green tea... I need to start that...
My friend Margaret sent me this morning: Worry never robs tomorrow of it's sorrow, it only saps today of it's joy.
Things are going good here...
Have a good day...

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

We had the furnace on for about an hour this morning here at the house, but now it's spring-like out again so we have all the doors open----I love short, cool mornings! (It got to -31 below zero last night at home in the Adirondacks!)

Another zapping for me today, and then packing the truck in hopes we can head to the trailer tomorrow afternoon after my final zapping. (Hopefully final one) I need to seed a garden next to the house this morning before I head to the doc's, too.

A couple more days and we will be camping!

Kath, I LOVE that worry saying, and have a copy of it always in front of me. Mine says Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow----it only saps today of its strength. I like joy as well! Although it is always with me, I tend to be a chronic worrier anyway. I am hopeless that way!

Gotta get my garden gloves on and head out as soon as I read some posts. Sending strength and hope and comfort to you all.

Good Morning,

Sadly, Sharon and Beth left this morning  Donna, Kerry and Loren (ORS) are still here. LeRoy arrived yesterday with the RZR and now the weather has turned cloudy and damp :(

It has been a fun time, so glad to meet new sistahs, and have had some lively conversations!!

I know how you all love your pets, but I would not do well being awaken in the middle of the night!

On to the next adventure!!

Looking forward to hearing about the FL GTG!!

I love every pet I've had, but would not do well with the middle of the night bit either. I can count on one hand how many times I've had to get up during my years on the road for a dog needing to go out. I train them to sleep through, even when I get up multiple times. Now, Peaches even has to deal with me walking up and checking email and the forums on my phone.

I'm back in my park in Arizona City ... already missing Q and the desert ... wish I could just turn around. But that 4 letter word Work rears it's head tomorrow. Ah, not that much longer left. I'll survive it.
