Yep, it's the BIG freeze on the East Coast....at 2:30AM it was 28F which is very cold for coastal GA....How do I know it was 28F at 2:30AM? Yep, you are right, Mr. Spinner decided he had to go out right then...for the 2nd time within 2 hrs. according to Ernie.....but we both had to get up with him... So, Ernie put his heavy coat on and out the door they went....Spinner did his thing again...Ernie says he doesn't mind taking him out at "O Dark 30", just as long it isn't a wasted trip.... Well, anyways, we all got a drink and headed back to bed...all snuggled in...the boys go right off to sleep again and I toss and turn for a half hour, til 3AM....gave up going back to sleep..Do you think my pollen allergy had anything thing to do with it?....you got it.... The sinuses let loose and the sneezing start.....So, I gave up trying to sleep...took an allergy pill...and here I am.... :? There's a nap in my future today, for sure.... ;)

Since I am up so early, the coffee's ready and oatmeal is cooking in the pot on the stove....something to stick to your ribs for the morning....

Safe travels to those on the road and have a great day, all..... :D

Good Morning... oh oatmeal is so good... that is what doc wants me to have most mornings... with blueberries and raspberries... good start to the day... but allergies are so draining... does your med make you sleepy or wide awake... have heard it can work both ways...
We have a mild start to the day in the low teens but it will be very cold again tonight in the single digits and a windchill of teens below zero...
My dear friend Bob in New Zealand has to move... what a chore he is 80 and was still driving school bus until recently...
Time to refill the coffee...
Have a good day everyone

Good morning !! Sun is out soooo pretty, didn't seem as cold as weather report. Sun shining was easy to deceive myself, maybe :o  We enjoyed our walk this morning, it's been awhile since we've had a real one. We relocated yesterday and now out my front window see a huge pool already for someone to jump in, but not me   Interested Soos or Carolyn ??

I may have to check Donna's blog out again to motivate myself for all the cleaning our home needs :? Maggie says time for another snooze so no help there  Need to be in a good rain to wash the outside some, It needs a good washing but wondering where ????

No news, nothing on the agenda but cleaning and organizing and planning what I might offer for our feeds at the GTG, that's happening in just a few days !!!!!

Those traveling take care, Stay Safe !! Enjoy this day everyone, whatever you're doing,
CArol :)

We are missing the cold weather completely this time around - it's supposed to be 76 this weekend. Yay for shorts!!!!

Lori - they said on the radio that cedar pollen is already high here - way too early. I know I have been sneezing like crazy - not sure what set it off, may be mold spores from all the rain last week.

I'm starting to get hitch itch again after being home 3 weeks. I have a weekend planned in April - need to plan something before then. Unfortunately, March in TX can be hard because of all the spring breakers - but maybe I can find something. Last year I went to Caprock Canyons State Park, but that's too far just for a weekend.

February is a family thing in Marble Falls but I won't be pulling the trailer.

So, what to do, what to do.

Good Morning to All from sunny Mazatlan - I saw that the temps in our home town in Indiana were High 15 Low 11 and I'm talking about getting out the electric blanket here in Mazatlan - Weather is beautiful low 80s during day mid 50s at night but not until late so we can enjoy sidewalk cafes for dinner. We went to the bakery yesterday so have yummy pastries here and delicious coffee from the mountains of Aticama. We bought a lot of it and it is stored under the bed. Sure smells good when we lift the bed to get something out of there.
Today will be a just errands day - need to change bed, take in laundry, go to Home Depot for new hose and not sure what else....just enjoying the city. I posted some pics and a video on my blog - well I will post in a few minutes from the historic district and dinner last night. Every where you look there is something interesting or pretty to see. And Carnaval is coming up in a couple of weeks so the decorations are going up.
I need to catch up on what everyone is doing now that we have a reliable Internet source - the Banda Ancha Mexican TelCel Internet service works good here.
Keep warm and travel safe.

Good morning all. It almost hit 80 yesterday here north of Phoenix. We went to bed with the space heater on, then had to turn it off. It is gonna be around 80 again today. Beautiful clear skies. DH was itching to shoot clay pigeons so we are parked up at the Ben Avery shooting center. Owned and operated by the state. HUGE, new facility. The skeet and trap range have full hookups (w sewer) in a parking lot fashion. Lots of space between spots. The other side is the rifle side and they have a campground style place with back in spots with water and electric only. This is about 10 miles north of ASU. Nothing special, except we are out in the desert with nothing around, yet close to town to visit with friends and relatives.

Bonus :P While walking Tyler yesterday evening 6 hot air balloons launched from right across the street. It was so awesome. One of the other campers said they do it many nights if the wind is right. I hope they do it again tonight so I can get pictures. :P

I have friends in town that I new when they lived in Hawaii. Had dinner with one last night. The other friend of 30 yrs tonight and lunch with my cousin today at ASU DH will be shooting clay pigeons. :P

Hope everyone stays warm and stay safe if you are on the road. Aloha y'all

GOOD MORNING ALL!

It was nippy here in Orlando this morning, but I noticed it was -23 back home in Vermontville! (That's MINUS 23) I guess I can put up with 40s and 50s for lows!

Gathering stuff to pack today, wondering about canoe and bikes in truck together, or just bikes or just canoe. It will be tricky. I don't think Kathy could get in and out of the canoe, and I am not so sure I can any more either, if the launch place is low or swampy.

Dinah had her yearly doc appointment yesterday and got all her shots updated. We went to the vet in Kissimmee who was at least 100 bucks cheaper than this one right down the street here in the Williamsburg area. The vet I loved and met last year was on his way out for an afternoon off, but I said a HI to him and told him I wished he was to be there for us....he is a neat older guy who has the best personality I have met in many a year. However, the girl tech and the man vet we had were also super efficient and very personable, too. That is a wonderful vet office.

Time to change Kathy's bandaids over her 5 biopsy sites, then get something to eat.

See some of you soon, and will try to stay in touch with the others of you!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Slept in again this morning. I seem to be able to really sleep in about once a week. Felt good.

Temps here in the Big Cypress are perfect for me--high of 75 next several days with chilly nights for sleeping. Love being able to open windows and not have to use AC to reduce humidity.

I am going to hang around this very nice campground for the next three days and try to get all the papers graded for the week. Also need to do some cleanout of basement storage that I have put off for a long time. It is really nice to be parked on good asphalt so I can put things down and not worry about getting them even more dirty. I am sorting out some things that are usable but I never use to give away at the GTG on the weekend. Better than throwing them out.

Overcast here in Q, but not really cold. I missed saying good bye to Peggy this morning and then missed Sheila so I'm batting 1000 today. I was gonna leave today but OD'd on bread pudding yesterday and didn't sleep well so I decided to hang out another day. It's supposed to rain on Friday so I'll for sure hit the road in the AM. Just taking it easy today and looks like everyone else is too.

I sure have enjoyed this GTG this year, we've had a great time. Just wish I didn't have a previous commitment, I wouldn't mind hanging here for another week with Loren and Anita. Beth has to get back to work. Actually, I'd like to run home and get the RZR and go exploring with Anita and Leroy!! Next year if Anita is here.

Chris, you need to come back, you forgot your tortillas and trail mix!! :D Just like a newbie expecting one of us to clean up after her!!

The weather is actually pretty nice today even with it being a little overcast. We found propane for 2.81 a gallon so I'm gonna go over and fill up before I hit the road. It's almost 4 a gallon at home.

I, too, missed saying goodbye to Peggy this morning. Sheila as well, but we did say our gbyes just in case a couple times :)

I do not understand why Sharon can't run home, get her RZR and come back!! So lazy!! LeRoy is coming tomorrow and bringing his. I don't know how long we'll stay after that.

It really has been a fun time and great to meet so many from the forum! Next year, God willing and the creek don't rise, I'll be at the Florida GTG.

Blue Ox forgot to call me yesterday that my tow bar was serviced and ready for me to pick up. So I just HAD to stay another day. If not for work Friday, wouldn't head out tomorrow either. This gtg has been so laid back and wonderful. And both peaches and I love being in the actual desert.

Right now Anita, Sharon and I are sitting outside reading. We are surrounded by Peaches, the Sam cat and Chewy. I think I'm going to put down my book and grab Peaches leash for a walk now.

Hi, I left the Q gtg this morning about 9am and missed saying good bye to several of the late risers. By 2:00pm I was at the Casino del Sol a little south of Tucson, my stopping place for the night. Tomorrow I'll tour the San Xavier delBaco Mission which is just down the road. Seems funny to be all by myself. Miss my buddies. Peggy

So so sorry I missed a goodbye hug from you! I was up but in the bathroom and didn't hear you. Drat! Donna really really misses you already! I think she's gonna be a little lost without you for a while.
