Lunch with Tina....

Being so close to I-95 is an advantage for Mini GTGs again. .....today Tina called from the GA Visitor Center exit asking what we were doing for lunch....told her nothing planned as I was doing laundry....so after getting the timing right, we met her at the Love's truck stop at Exit 90....picked her up and went to Molly MacPherson Scotish Pub for lunch....



We talked and ate some good pub fair; then since she was heading to St. Augustine, FL for a few days, we took her back to her rig so she could get there before dark. We got in enough chat for now...but did cover alot in an hour and a half.... I just love it when you gals stop by.... even when it is just for lunch.... I'm sure we'll have more time the next visit, but for now....it was special.... Thanks, Tina.....

GREAT shot of you all!

I didn't realize you were that close to I 95, or perhaps I would have been able to make a quick stop on my way down in November. I need to be more aware of where people are, and of how some of us could perhaps meet at an exit, or something like you did. I have always been of one mind when I travel down and back, other than that GTG in Fredericksburg we had last year which was a lot of fun!

I need to become more flexible with my traveling plans! At any rate, I will meet you all very soon now! Thanks for sharing those pics!

Carolb & I met at a hiway exit - visited in the van for a bit & then I had to move on. Best stop I ever made! Can't wait to get on the move more often.

Thank you again Lori and The Sultan! Lori has made the offer several times to meet folks out by the highway....but I am guessing that she usually expected us to think about it and remember to call her the day or two before. Talk about jello plans. I called after I had already headed off and down the highway this morning. I then later pulled over at the Georgia Welcome center to wait for my call back to see if they were available. I made it to the campground here in FL by a little after 5 and before the gates closed...that is all I needed.

Anytime, Tina...glad you landed safely.... It's 15 miles to I-95 from here...so meeting at the exit isn't so far.... Molly MacPherson's is now our favorite place to take visitors for lunch...been there a few times...good food....and The Sultan gave a review of the many single malt scotches they have there to Tina...(Too early in the day for scotch, so Tina had water and Ernie & I had a beer.... )

To all of you, when we are in the area here and if you are traveling the I-95, give us a call....camping, space available, with the Army here and 2 GA state parks in the area......plus a RV resort up at the next exit and a KOA close by, too....Come for lunch or stay a day or 2 or 3 to see Savannah... Probably our favorite city in the world...and we have seen lots of cities in the world.....

How nice to see you all together once again. It is so much fun meeting up with people and it just gets better each time
