Oh Gosh Sarah, I hope Magix is high and dry. Maybe it won't be as bad as they fear. Please keep us updated and I'm sure you probably didn't sleep last night worrying about it too. You take care.

Hope you will be able to give us an update today and that Magic (and you) survived last night. Yep, you sure need to head to FL.

Sarah, I am hoping all is OK with Magic today too. We have been getting that same storm system here and it is raining again. I sure hope you can get to Magic and go ahead and head south for FL. We are going to attempt it tomorrow.

Fingers crossed that you and Magic are both high and dry. Sounds like I also need to check on my friends in the area to make sure they are ok as well.

Sarah, you sure get some nasty weather down there! I sure wish you were already heading south, too.
Like Beth said, hopefully Magic will live up to her name.
Hugs!

Oh my Sarah-----I am so hoping you and Magic will survive that nasty flooding storm with ice and all. I so do wish you were already down here where the weather has been as perfect as possible. I will look forward to a report from you as soon as possible, and then want to see you heading south pronto!

I think Sarah's story has another message hidden in it. I met the campground manager when I was at Ditto Landing and know how nice he is. I was also able to see how nice Sarah was to him and I think it was not an accident that he was looking out for her and her rig and went the extra distance..... The world is a small place sometimes and it is worth while to "pay it forward" Hope the waters come back down quickly.... :)

Hi Sarah
I'm just catching up. Hope Magic survived the night and you are safe and can head south soon. It is freezing out here in sunny AZ. Peggy

Tina, you are so right; Eddie, the campground manager has been such a big help more than once.

Just checking in quickly for now. No word from Eddie yet but it is still raining steadily and river still rising. Rain will change back to freezing rain after dark. Actually no break in wet forecast until Friday. Another front on Thursday has forecast for rain mixed with freezing rain, sleet, and snow.

Right now the best hope for getting out of here looks like maybe Saturday or Sunday. Think I need to start working on new plan that involves taking a lot less stuff as doesn't look as if I will be able to spend night before departure in Magic getting things organized. Okay as I would probably have over packed anyway. That also means I will have to leave later in morning as I will have to wait until I can get ride down to the park. Assuming I can get to Magic this weekend, goal will simply be to get across the river and mountain then as far south as possible before dark.

So glad the ranger at state park discouraged me from moving Magic there yesterday. The mountain top was an ice covered wonderland last night. Above freezing all across area now so at least what ever ice comes tonight will be starting over rather than adding to the situation. Wish could say same for the water.

The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!

I'm sorry to hear of all the rain you are getting Sarah. We certainly could use a lot of it as we are still in drought conditions and have fallen behind on our rainfall already this early in the new year. Possibly Magic will conjour (sp) up an apprentice to make the waters swirl away. Hoping for the best so you can start your trip.

Note to Sarah: Next time little voice is speaking, LISTEN.   Linda
