Pick my DH up and then it's gonna be "What's for Lunch....What's for Dinner...What's for Dessert..." oooooooooh did I forget all that..????? Nah..it's take out..or Take me Out..LOL now that's more like it...and I'm gonna take him Karaoking LOL Now, my hubby is good at Stand Up Comedy...sure hope he don't sing a tune.. LOL...and speaking of which...........

Echo...she's done got a different job..well not actually different employer..but sorta a, maybe better....like no sweat box..and the hours look a bit better...maybe no demanding overtime... Oh gosh I hope so..but we all have to wait and see... We wish you the best Echo and Kelly !!!

Sparkle done grabbed our attention..that is GPS owners..re the voice command..now I have a Garvin..don't think I have that feature either..but...I like Donna, would love to listen to Sean Connery or even Richard Burton's voice...How about the rest of you..check that out and can't wait to read what you all think.... Lotus (Becky) brings a very important issue to us ! Retirement..life style change the happening and how it's like the after retirement blues.....If you haven't read it..please do...and if you feel the urge ...please respond... This happens..and I can say..been there..but at a much earlier time in my life..and a forced issue..health wise... Becky..{{{{{{{hugs }}}}}}} coming your way...and keep posting your feelings it really helps...

Redetotry..(BJ) good seeing you post..and love the idea too..keep your body healthy (if ya can) and also your mind..I do practice meditation..have for years ..it releases a lot of stress...mmmm do I smell incense burning LOL joking but years ago..that was a big thing..burn the incense and relax..
I listen to Deepak Chopra..a long time ago..there is a knack to it..and once you can master it...what an uplift..

I really felt your pain in a lot of the decisions you were making..changing your lifestyle and at that time for you ..it was an extreme...You jumped in both feet...YOU did Good..and still Are...

NakedPupsandMe (Micki)..She's on the Sea Ride...well, you know Micki..most of us have experienced that one..in fact, it's sort of a rockin chair at times..yep....and levelers do help..but sometimes nothing does..and in fact when the wind is ripping I've been know to drop the levelers and pull in the slides..cause I could just picture myself being blown into the air... Captain to Ground..Ready for take off ....but then there are times it does feel good too...almost put ya to sleep..wait that's the rain on the top ..LOL oh well..see all that Rockin done confused me... but I'm sure the Sista's will also put you at ease..like Bethers...
Oh and Micki, what a great story you tell...I for years was involved with Rescue ..it's a challenge but a rewarding feeling too...in fact one year I had over 20 rescues at one time...boy that was heartbreaking..and my feeling on some of the places these joys came out of..back then they didn't prosecute..but by Golly, I sure wished they did...Sista's if you haven't read the Pet Section please do check them out...

Ok Sista's it's that time to put the chairs in the Wagon for me... I'll be MIA (Missing in Action) I pick hubby up at Noon time today and from there it's History in the Making...LOL I'll try to peek in and sit at the campfire..but I am also on a mission... (to get things done) and also involved in Artist contest..wish me luck please...need to get more supplies LOL... My return is the 19th of Jan..omg...don't know if I could stay away that long..but I know I'll read ya in the evening before I go to bed... Campfire is lookin good..smores and all... So I put my kitchen in the hands of all of you... Remember keep them pots hot and the tenderness of understanding in high gear...WE need the support every day...cause ya just never know who's lurking...

So, my table is set this morning..guess I forgot to say... "I made a huge batch of Christmas Cookies"..(oh did I ever) and I've made an Apple Cake..(love me apples) have Blueberry and Corn Muffins....and of course Biscotti.... and I'm about to head into the kitchen and put a Chocolate Espresso Cake in the oven...as Gentleladybear (Nan) will tell ya.. What I write I do... yep, I'm one of those..who get's up and makes a batch of somethin LOL...guess Momma rubbed off on me...Table is set..cups and glasses in place..Coffee Pot Perking..(it really is) Tea Kettle Whistling and the frig has cold drinks and OJ too..chairs are empty..so do come and fill them... and let us all know what's happening on your agenda....

Barb...what an exciting time for you today! So happy you'll be picking up your husband today! (I THINK that's what someone told me DH means, yes? ) You will have a busy time for a couple of weeks! Get some much-needed rest and have some good times. Your kitchen will miss you, as will we all!

I sure do hope Echo gets a new job, too----that sweat shop she's been in for far too long!

I did not get a snow day yesterday, but said I felt sick at noon and took a half-day sick day and drove home before the sleet and freezing rain started! Darned if I wanted to look forward to 13 miles of driving in that stuff! All schools in the entire north country except my county had canceled school yesterday!

Got a ton of stuff to do here this morning before I leave the snowy driveway, including de-icing and scraping and sweeping off truck. Hope to see you all later, and have a fun day out there, wherever you may be!

Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!

Holy smokes! From Barbz recap I really missed lots of goings on? Dang it I guess I should have read some more last night. Ya'll have been busy as busy can be.

Me? I'm kinda looking forward to the new deal at work. The very worse part about it is the needing to learn a whole new freaking computer software program. OMG!!! It sure does look to be a more involved software program too. Instead of just clicking to go to a diff page we have to type in code to get the new pages to open. I reminds me of the software program I first learned and used when we first started up there. I hated that software and never really did get good at it or understand it. At least we are getting some training this time around with this new one. That's actually a first for us up there. This will be the forth computer software system we have had to use but the very first time we've ever had training for any of them.

YAWN!!! Went to bed last night hoping for a little over 7hrs of sleep?? HA!! David and Jenny got in a huge fight last night just after midnight so I ended up being up for an hour with them. Gads I am so glad that I'm not that young and stupid anymore. Now I guess I'm old and sometimes dumb!!! LOL But David now has the trim on their bedroom door to replace and paint. She locked him out of the bedroom, wouldn't give him a pillow or blanket and wouldn't let his dog out. ~sigh~ Gotta love it!!! David did try to end up out here on the couch but she wouldn't drop it so he ended up getting his sleeping bag out of his Blazer then he and his Honey dog spent the night in the cellar. I told her to stay her azz in the bedroom, leave him alone and wait until today to get things settled. grrrr KIDS!!!! But boy I sure would like to go back to bed this morning.

I sure am grateful for the recap this morning Barbz! I just might get a chance to try and catch up with it all this weekend. Oh boy, by time I do I sure will have to do some digging to find the ones I missed. I see we got another newbie and that Jenny is partying it up again out there in Yuma!!!

Becky my sweetie? It will get easier as you go. When the first start that purge it is really rough. But the more ya do?? The easier it gets and the better it will feel! You will be super amazed at how light and free you will end up feeling. I know the feelings of 'treasure' but even 'treasures' are only things. Only the living matter, the loved ones we have in our life. Everything else can be replaced in one way or another. Have at it girl, you'll soon be sorting with the best of us!!!

Ok, got to go check email and get my comic fix for the day. I've been kinda missing out on some of that.

Either I'm in a strange type of yoga class or it's changed Zeee! It is called Gentle chair yoga. We start the class by sitting still and listening to our breathing. Then we do hand, finger and arm exercises, one is super for preventing carpel tunnel so I try to do that if I'm typing a lot or any repetitive motion during the day. Then we do shoulders, arms, waist, hip stretches, feet and ankles then a lot of work on balance. After that we do some work on a the floor for which I have a heavily padded mat, this followed by a guided relaxation. NO incense in my class, ick I don't like that stuff. I have recently started a more advanced class since I've been doing this for a year and the plus is, although I haven't gained any weight I've had to let my watch band out two holes!! I'm hoping this means my bones are growing.

We survived!! We didn't get blown over or out to sea. We might have some wind today but I think the worst is behind us. Glad to see so many posts! There are a couple I thought about posting, then hesitated b/c I haven't been on here much lately. I am on other forums, so I know what it's like when ppl don't really know you. This is really a good mix of women here tho. Some of you seem to be where I am in life, tho the situations may be different. I'm really enjoying being back with you all.

I'm glad Ava & her pups are okay. I know money-wise it's rough but, at least you & your furkids are okay. I'm nervous about the propane anyway. Never had that happen so now I know it can, I'll be on guard for it.

I do yoga, but I go to classes once or twice a week at church. It is a good stretching and calming exercise for me. I love it!

And Lotus, I could write a book on what you're going thru. But I need help with some of that now, too so I've been getting support & strength reading the posters on your thread. Thanks for letting us in on what's going on. It's helping me.

I can see I missed some posts too, so I'll take one of those blueberry muffins AND a big mug of coffee & go wander around the board for a while.

Hope you enjoy your DH being with you Barbz. Sounds like you have enough food for an army. What time is lunch? Me & the nekkids could be there before dinner for sure!!!

Oh....a little hung over this morning But am getting better.... Neighbor had us over for supper and wine....too much wine... Now I know why I don't indulge often....

Didn't fish yesterday.....did the things to do list....laundry, straighten up the house on wheels, and got involved with a good book.....

Looks like a nice day for us...and the guys are talking fishing....

It has been a long day------ thought I would have time to read posts today------but still have not had time to play catch up!!!

Since we lost OVER $300,000.00 on real estate & auctions & sizing down--& moving--- Hubby decided it was time to find a part time job in retirement----everyone said there is no own hiring-----you won't be able to find a job--------etc.etc------so he went out yesterday-----& stopped & talked to a guy about a job-------& he said NO we are not hiring now------Hubby had a cup of coffee with him-----& told him where he had retired from the experience he has & about our over 25 businesses we have owned----- & he starts training tonight & starts work next Tues!!!!! It was the first place he stopped & talked to any one!!!!!!!
God is good!!!!!!

That said - Zeee, you already know - I LOVE the mouse - I can watch that little critter skating around, falling off and picking herself up and starting over again and again. All of you - I told Zeee - that mouse reminds me of all of us - as we are so strong, but we do have falls now and then - but we give ourselves kicks in our butts, pull ourselves up and go forward. What a great reminder to all of us that it's ok to sometimes stumble.

Barbzee that pork and sauerkraut was good, no one ate it except my daughter in law and me, then her grandson came in and ate some. Took some to work today, made their mouths water. My son gave us a surprise and cooked a chocolate cake with german frosting for us. Isn't he sweet. But we are watching the championship game tonight yelling and screaming at the TV trying to empower the gators to win.

Hope you cook that pork roast with sauerkraut too, that stuff is addictive.

Enjoy your time with Robert, and don't make him sing too much anyway.

We are doing ok here. Yesterday it was so warm all the ice and snow melted and turning into mud. We have a slight change of snow showers today and cooler temps but not really cold. I"m actually hoping for freezing temps to solidify the mud! Hubby has started seeing the chiropractor twice per week so suppose that will continue until he is a lot better. Dad still feels weak all the time but part of that if other health concerns. He has an appt the 23rd in Scottsbluff with his urologist so maybe he'll hear about his recent condition and see what's going on. He's been getting worse throughout this year. We are hoping the cancer has not come back.

So, that's all for today and on to next week!
