Hi Rita and welcome to the forum. Buy what feels good to you. But Tina is right, look at what the cabinets are made out of. How those hinges are connected. At some point you will drive over washboard roads and if those cabinets are not wood, they tend to fall apart.

I have an RV but trying to sell my house, so I can figure out what I want to do when I grow up. If it is crazy, then join all the rest of the crazies right here.

Keep us updated on what you look at. Oh by the way, I understand Coachman has been bought out by Forest River. Forest River does make a nice coach.

As others have said you've found the right group... No, you're not crazy & no, you're not nuts. 'Cause if you are, then we all are!
This is the neatest bunch of ladies - full of advice, opinions & open arms. Can't go wrong with that combination!
I'm pretty new to this all myself - I just got my van last Aug, still work fulltime & will be using it mostly to travel to see my kids until I can cut the work-strings & hit the road for long, unplanned adventures... ah.... I can hardly wait...

Welcome, Rita....am so excited for you... Shopping for the perfect "house on wheels" can be confusing, but lots of fun....but as others have said, take your time and find what "fits" you....

We have been full-timing for 8 & 1/2 yrs....starting with a 17' hybrid, then onto 5th wheel #1 and now, 5th wheel #2......but in a couple/3-4 yrs. we'll be in the market for a Class C. We plan on living this lifestyle well into our late 70s, so always planning for the future....

We are a fun-loving, nosey, and picture crazy bunch here, but you'll find we are also a caring & sharing bunch, too...So jump in anywhere, research older posts, and ask away on those questions.....we're always willing with advise and opinions

renting a unit is a great idea. It will give you a "feel" of what your budget would be on the road. Gas costs and campground fees and if you want to boondock
some to save money. I plan on doing some boondocking to save money myself. (since your in the learning process...boondocking is camping without any
hook ups, no water, electricity or sewer) We look forward to helping you through this process and cheering you on, the cleaning out stage of the house, etc.
Its all exciting, overwhelming at times but the ends result is sheer joy.
