Monday recovering AGAIN!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday recovering AGAIN!

Postby carolb » Mon Jan 14, 2013 6:20 am

Good morning all! :D

Well, it wasn't enoff that Lori & Ernie kept me awake past my 7pm bedtime  , now Irmi & Steve did it to me  I spent from 2 til 8:30 PM with them--like we'd been friends forever! :P Teddy was the most gracios host to April & Tigger, too! For FL gtg peoples, y'all know abot Irmi's cooking, so do I even have to state the obvios!!!? ;) Bt here's a fon thing: be certain to ask Steve abot his beloved lownge chair!!

Okay, Horizon Seeker! Will see yew at the GTG. And Liz, will PM yew right after this abot a mini gtg--I drove right by yew too! Gess lots of yew will be on the way to GTG soon! Sarah, jst like everyone said, as soon as I was owt the driveway, all those "nerves" disappeared!!

And now, I think a day of rest for me. Except that does mean cleaning my HarBor, doing lawndry, & finding a repair shop. HB has decided he needs to sqweak when his engine is r-nning, & yes, Lori (& Ernie over yore shoolder  ) I have thoroghly fl-shed my tanks/waterpmp, bt have fownd that one of my tanks is leaking--I can tell it's not fresh water, so it's either gray or black  Don't want to get arrested for pollewting!

Roll on Red!!! YIKES, cold weather has even gotten CA & AZ! Red needs to get jeans! Safe travels to yew & all others on the road! Y'all have a great day :P

Good morning Carolb & everyone that follows!

We had such a nice day with a visit from Carolb yesterday and the time went by so quickly. The weather was delightful, so we were able to sit outside for the majority of the day, talking and laughing. Since we're so close to each other in proximity, we plan to GTG again a time or two before the FL GTG.

The weather in Ocala is going to be a carbon copy of yesterday, with temperatures in the low to mid 80's. Perfect! The plan is to get some housekeeping done today and maybe just sit outside with a good book.

Red, I hope the weather calms down for you. For those under the weather, I hope you're feeling better soon and for those on the road, safe travels.

Good Morning !!! Looking for another beautiful day here.. I wish that I had planned for this day better though. My sis and DH, just left for work and it slapped me in the face. This is a day of Memories and I find myself alone, which I always try to be doing something to make it a better day, for me. So many years doesn't seem it should be this bad. Maybe its just because I wasn't prepared this year.... 12 yrs. doesn't seem possible, especially this morning, Sorry !!!

Need to get my mind busy on making this a worthwhile day and one that matters. first to get out of this mood I have fallen into, :(

I do hope you all have a fabulous day, those here in Fl. I think weatherwise we are all in for a great day. Cool down coming the wk end though, if 70's are coool

Carolb, hoping your repairs or problems are minor. You're in an area that there are good service people available. Liz, guided me to a couple I was pleased with. Of course, I live where I must travel miles for service for anything, so being in that area with so much help available was a real big deal for me

Well, to get this day going better, Maggie is saying lets do something !!!!
Wishing you all a good day and those on the roads Safe Travels,
CArol :)

Sounds like you are having a good time so far Carolb well except for finding the leaks etc. You may rest your sleep clock while you are in FL so you don't miss out on evening events by going to bed so early. Irmi has her day planned and I'm glad to hear the temps will be back in the 70's next week, 80 is way to hot for my taste!

It is really cold here this morning, not sure what the temp is but can tell from just opening the door for the dogs to go in and out that it is frigid out there. I'm glad I'm not headed out to the gym with DH, he is so good about going every day except Sundays. The rooms in our house open in a way that I can walk inside and while I walk the dogs are doing their tear around the house playing so we all get a work out.

I got my new glasses that I ordered online from Zenni and they sent 6 pair of clip on sunglasses none which fit, :? plus the lenses look like coke bottles, they are about twice as thick as my other glasses. :( so I will be giving them a call. Also the moisture in back of my washing machine is not condensation as the repairman thought, now I can see where it is dripping from the faucet so another call...at least they said they don't charge if they have to come back. I am hoping the RV place has the part to fix Elsie so they don't have to order anything I need to get her organized!

Sending an extra big hug to CArol.

Good morning everyone!

Sure do wish I was already in FL too. It is raining here AGAIN. Looked at my weather apps and one of them is showing snow for this part of MS on Thursday. We are planning on moving south on Wednesday. The weather apps are only calling for a 50% chance of rain that day. This is a really nice part of the country except for all the rain. I have not been able to use the dog's pen for about a week or longer. It has standing water in it just like outside the door and steps to my rig. The dogs have learned to come down the steps with their leashes on and stay under the slides on the rig until we get to the front where the water is not so much. They sure don't like getting their feet wet.

Carolb and Irmi, I think I will make this a housekeeping day too. I still have a few more things to figure out where they are going in the rig since I have more storage areas now with Mom settled in her cabin. I should be able to get at least a couple loads of laundry done and hung in the shower to finish drying. I think after I get my housework done, I will settle in the chair to watch it rain and work on my afghan I am making.

CArol, sending you {{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}} today.

Redetotry, good luck with getting your glasses exchanged to your satisfaction.

Going to go fix my breakfast and then get my day started. The birds are telling me it is time to get them fresh food and water. They are used to me doing this about the same time every morning and I am running a little late with it.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Just popping in to say good morning. At 9:30 the temp has just reached 30 degrees and wind is blowing like crazy. I think Florida wins on the weather front right now.

I am dragging my feet as this is the day LeRoy's 'friend' and girlfriend come so it will be a lot of blah, blah, blah.

Fun to read of GTGs along the way for Carolb.

CArol, sending you a hug!

Safe travels to all on the road. Sorry some of you are having rig issues - I know the feeling. Tomorrow I will tackle the water pump!!

GOOD LATE MORNING TO ALL!

Carol, hug Maggie an extra lot today and make some new memories. Take a nice walk, smell the fresh air, and be thankful you can still do all of those things. I know that I still ache each year when those loss dates come around, and I try to force myself to do more, let myself cry, listen to sentimental music, and then give thanks for my being able to do that. You won't be able to cry much in a couple of weeks! Too much silliness will be going on!

Have a fun day, Anita, with your blah blah blahing! I need to rehook my water pump in the trailer, too, but need to buy a new connector hose first. The gasket in the old one no longer holds back drips, and the one I bought from Lowes doesn't fit. I suppose I will need to go to a trailer palce to get one. ACK!

B.J. those glasses sound so beautiful! Would like a pic of you in them!

The rest of you have a fun time cleaning and getting ready for the GTG, as well as meeting each other along the way.

Bath time now for me, then another zapping.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

I have that hose on my washer that stops the water if a leak is detected. Well, one day, the water stopped and the machine was just humming (trying to get the water). Sigh. Went to the store and got replacement no-leak hoses. Pulled out the dryer. Climbed on the washer. Lowered myself/jumped down behind the dryer. Changed the hose, no problem. Guess what? Yes, that's right - STUCK BEHIND THE DRYER. My laundry room is only wide enough to accommodate the washer, the dryer, and the row of cabinets. No way to push the dryer out of the way.

After I got done laughing at myself for being an idiot, I FINALLY muscled myself back up over the top of the dryer. But what an epic struggle I had.

I've had to drop back there twice since...dropped a small stool down there first, AND had my cordless phone sitting on the dryer. I have since refined my method to include a rope tied around the stool so I could reach it to pull it out (the time I hadn't done that, I couldn't reach it and had to leave the laundry room a mess until my BFF (5'10") came down for a visit. She reached it handily.)

Ah, the tribulations of being short. (SHUT UP, ya little Pest...)

I am sitting here laughing at you Mitch, please strap that cell phone permanently to your body!!! I think with all the situations you get yourself into you never know when you will need it!! Your laundry room sounds like mine but at least I didn't squeeze in until there was help around and I didn't get behind it. Oh what we could do with a video of you climbing back over the dryer   That and your little stool on a rope, very creative   Mine is a stack so I would be stuck.

The customer service at Zenni Optical was very nice and said I could send everything back and they would see if they had been made wrong because my prescription wasn't that strong so the glasses shouldn't have been that thick. I told them I had gone with what the site suggested I order, but I won't have them in time for the GTG :( Oh well I have two pair of slightly chewed others to wear. :)

Didn't get on this morning. Back-to-back telecon and team meeting chewed up my morning in short order.

Sounds like lots of trials and tribulations going on. And big hugs, CArol. I don't think the pain ever goes completely away but good memories do help.

It's a messy, yucky, raw day today.

And what's this rumor about AZ not being cold? It was cold when we were there, it's cold there now...

Afternoon everyone. Been a busy morning. Spent it at the vets with Elvis, my dear old lap cat. He got sick this weekend, throwing up, quit eating, quit drinking. So, took him this morning to see if this is something treatable or more like end of life...vet ran some tests $$ and ruled out a couple of things but no definitive answer. So, I've decided to leave him there for 48 hours so they can rehydrate him and get him on antibiotics to see if he will rally. He's 16, so I know I'm not buying a lot of time for him, but he deserves a chance. I'll know in a day or two what needs to be done.

Gray and dreary here in MD today...been a long time since we've had any sunshine around here. I could use some for sure.

Sounds like all the mini gtg's are going well...and the big one starts soon too. I'm so jealous. Sure hope y'all are still getting together out there when I get my chance! And the gtg in Q is getting ready to happen too!

Sorry to hear of leaking tanks and non priming pumps and such.

Well, hope everyone has a good day. CArol, hope ya found something memorable to do to take your mind off whatever anniversary it is today.

Dawn -- I just checked Google maps, and going through Lake Murray looks like it may be doable - adding maybe 150 miles to my trip. We'll see as it gets closer. And I will need to pick Sue's brain as to things to do in the UP for 3-4 days.
