Back again this evening....Red, we use weather underground and the Weather Bug....plus Accu-weather...all online...Ernie obsesses about the weather, hence the 3 different services, but all are free.... :D

Mark obsesses about the weather then gets mad when the sites have slightly different temps and rain chances. I have weatherbug and has that plus accuweather on his phone. We checked those both pretty religiously. Both also have radar. We also planned some parts of our trip based on the forecast 1-2 days out.

I use a bunch. Like different ones better for different things. On line I use Intellicast the most. I used to use them to track hurricanes and major storms and liked them the most.

They all are off for the temp here. But close. I've discovered if I move my outside thermostat to different locations, I get different readings, so accept those differences.

Yep, practice, Carol...and don't forget to flush that fresh water tank until you don't smell bleach anymore....oh, before that, turn on the pump and run some of that bleach water thru your lines....then do the flushing.... ;) (Ernie's sitting across the table telling me to tell you this.... ;) )

Hate admitting this, but I cannot figure out how to get bleach in the fresh water tank? Could someone explain in a simple manner? The spot where I load fresh water is only large enough for the hose to fit snugly. I am afraid if I try to pour some bleach in this spot it will splash back out all over me? How many times will I have to load fresh water and empty it out to flush out the clorox taste and odor?

I have a funnel with a long tube at the small end that fits in the fresh water hole.

Yep, a funnel works great.....used a 1/4 cup of bleach in Carolb's the other day as she has a small fresh tank...ours is 60-80 gal. so we use about a cup and a half in ours....fill the tank with water with the bleach....drain and fill with water, again, repeating this until you no longer smell the bleach....ours takes about 4-5 flushes...

And if you are lazy like me and don't want to do all the flushes, you flush once real good and carry drinking and cooking water around for a awhile until you have used the tank water enough on showers and washing dishes, etc that you can't taste it anymore...

I'm with Tina, I would take the lazy way. I don't drink or cook with the water in my tank anyway so would let the bleach slosh around a bit and use the water for other things. Before each trip I fill up 2 or 3 gallon jugs with water from home and just set it in the shower to use for coffee and cooking. I probably need to put some bleach in my fresh water tank before my next trip.

I've also read where some people pour the bleach in the hose, holding the end up so it doesn't run out and then turn on the water and the bleach and water go into the holding tank. I haven't tried it, but it is another idea.

In order to flush my tank I had to buy ($14) apparatus. LOL. My hose attachment is the only way to connect to water. So I bought this tube thingee that has a short hose that attaches to the faucet. Fill the tube with the bleach mixture then attach my white hose to the other end, connect to the motorhome and turn on the water. It sucks the bleach out of the tube and in to the holding tank, also cleans my white hose so I think it works pretty well.
