For those of you who don't go on Facebook, here is the latest on Sharon. Thank God for good news and thanks for all your prayers.

POSTED BY SHARON ON fb.

Tuesday Update: Had my appointment with the surgeon today. He pulled together all the testing I had done and it turns out to be an infection for the most part! The lymph nodes were negative for cancer. The was one area that was suspicious with atypical cells, but that can come from an infection too!

He is now referring me to a Infectious Disease Doc to determine how to treat it. Lung infections are difficult to treat, but we'll do what it takes. Just so glad no definite cancer was found!

Thank you all so much again for your love, hugz and prayers :

Now that news made my day! YIPPEEEEE!

Lung infections are not fun, and can make you feel absolutely horrid. I hope they can find some antibiotic that will Zap it in its tracks!

Thanks for posting this great news.

if Sprinter had been in Arizona or even the 4 corners area its possible she picked up Valley Fever. Arizona doctors are very familiar with
valley fever, it attacks the lungs, shows spots that makes it look like cancer. Doctors in other parts of the country are not familiar with
the disease, so if Sprinters doctor thinks its some unknown lung infection please mention if you had been in Arizona and mention Valley
Fever. There is specific medicine for Valley Fever.

I'm excited for her and agree with Ava about the Valley fever needing to be checked into

Here's her follow up with the infectious disease doctor.

Our visit to the Infectious Disease doctor went quite well. He has identified two species living down there in her right lung. They are slow to grow and infect and slow to kill off. They are normal in your everyday flora but will attack when the opportunity is right for them to do that. (stomatococcus-like and alpha hemolytic and the other streptococcus-like) She now has antibiotic to fight the infection. It will be a long term thing.

Don't think Sharon has been in Arizona.
