New and a Want To Be

Postby ticer » Wed Jan 09, 2013 3:28 pm

No RV yet. I have much to learn, so I guess it's good to start now. I'm a old gal from PA.,single mom with 4 adopted children, which gave me 7 grandchildren, and one great-grandbaby. I'm looking for a RV-not much cash-so I'm working on looking for rainbows and the pot of gold. At 60 years young, hope to hit the road in about a year. Life is good - but I have a need to travel down the road, and see all I can see, and meet everyone and all of you. Vicki - or ticer as the family calls me

Welcome to the forum. But just for informational purposes....That statement about being an old gal.... remember age is relative......whatever our age is years it is the age in spirit that matters.....and we still get to play when ever we can. 8-) :)

Thanks for the intro, Vicki. And age is relative, for us and our rigs. Hope to meet you sometime down the road.

Welcome, Vicki! I'm ready to hit the road, but I'm staying put for a few more years to build my retirement fun (yes, Beth, I know I could brave the world and find work on the road). I do enjoy what trips I can squeeze in.

Welcome, Ticer/Vicki. If money is an issue you might consider getting a nice, used popup camper to start with. They can be towed with almost anything and the newer ones have the comforts of home. Good luck in your search and hope to meet you one day.

Welcome from California. I'm relative new to this having just gotten my RV last May. The ladies here are wonderful and very willing to help. So jump right in and feel free to ask whatever question you have or just join in on the conversation. Hope to see you on the road.

Welcome from Texas. When I joined the forum I did not have an RV. Now I'm getting ready to leave on my first extended trip. These ladies are so full of great info and advice. A great way to start your new adventure.

Welcome from Texas. Glad you found us and as for being "old", you're just a youngster (I'm 72 this year). I was 62 when I bought my first RV and had never RV'd before.

Hi Vicki, and welcome to the fold!

As for this "old" stuff, remember that we are all just as old as we feel, and I am just beginning to get out of my teenage years! :)

Hope to see some pics of you and meet you somewhere down the road when you find your perfect-for-you RV! It sounds as if you have a nice big family who will be very interested in your new life!
