Thank you for all the great welcomes!

Question: I can't see the photo I posted of my rig on my post, but see this instead:

"You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post."

How do I get permissions to see my own photos?

Thanks!

Oops, looked again and my van pix was there! Sorry, still learning!

THANK YOU for all of the great suggestions!

I have some photos of my camper-in-progress, perhaps I should move this over to "My Rig" and start a new thread? What do you think?

Woof!

If put new pics of the rig in the appropriate room. And please, do not put them in as attachments, but learn how to use one of the services that hosts them. You'll find info on how to do that in the maintenance room.

I'm looking forward to the in progress pics.

Hi and welcome! Really glad you found us. As was said earlier, your rig makes no difference to us. It's the dream that counts. It sounds like Ava can really help you with your questions. She is a very talented lady. I cannot believe all that she can do. I am really looking forward to seeing pictures of your progress on your conversion.

Hi, I have seen blogs and posts by several folks who have done something similar to what you are doing. One woman I was particularly impressed with has a blog: http://meandmoonbeam.wordpress.com/ she doesn't post often, but on the right hand side of the home page is a link to the steps she took to get her van ready to live in. I find it fascinating.

There are two yahoo groups you might find helpful/interesting: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/VanDwellers/ is a group of folks, most of whom live in vans of some type. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/womengosolo/ is a group for women who live in their RV - which includes women who live in vans.

There is a man who has posted details of his conversion of a 1999 Ford E-250 van on the Class B forum at http://www.rv.net It's titled Step one: bought the van. There are others who post about their work on vans in that forum, but this man is particularly skilled at many tasks.

Good luck to you. I had first planned to undertake converting a van myself, but realized my limitations early on in the planning process. LG
