Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It's afternoon, but decided to drop by for a min. Barbie, so glad to hear you're feeling better....Lori, soooooo disappointed you won't be at the Fl GTG, I was so looking forward to seeing you again. Hope the hand heals quickly with no problems developing along the way. Pat, if the new haircut is the one in your Pic, Yes, that's a really good choice !!,

It's a warmish day here today, rain all day had been predicted, not happening yet, but sky does look threatening. Won't interfere with any plans I have, napping feels more and more like it should be on plans list

I need to try harder to put a few things where they belong, if I needed another item to be handy I have no room to place it within easy reach :o  I think a couple of cabinets and a drawer might have plenty of room now :o

It's sad to think we have almost used up 6 days of this year already. I for one feel I have wasted mine, so glad to read the forum and find so many making such good use of their days. So Thanks Ladies for perking my spirits up !!!

Have an enjoyable day and most of all, Stay Safe !!!

Another slightly late Good Morning.
Not much reportable going on here. Have been bouncing back and forth between wasting time and doing one of my least favorite chores - bookkeeping.
Should be preparing for trip but I find every time I think about it, panic starts to set in. Some concerns have merit, others are not rational but seem equally difficult. I so envy those of you who make travel seem so easy. Your positive experienes help keep me going. Thank you.
BIL is still in ICU and we don't know much more about condition; a waiting game at this point.
I need to catch up on posts then get back to work.
Have a great day.

Good afternoon everyone. Been up for a while, but busy taking stuff out to the rig and then many trips taking Xmas stuff out to the Xmas shed way out back. It is currently sunny and 50 so trying to get all the outside tasks accomplished. Birdie is on her way over to learn about all the stuff here so she can watch over the place while we are gone. Also waiting for the DirectTV guy to look into a house install so we can use the receiver for travel with the portable satelite dish we got. Then if it is still sunny Tyler will have a stint on the grooming table. I hate taking his warm winter coat hair off, but he is just so overgrown and and matting. Everyone stay warm and safe. Aloha y'all

dpf wrote:Good Morning! Well it’s been an uneventful week around here, but one with too many Mondays and Fridays! I hate it when holidays land mid week. I will be glad to get back to a normal schedule this week but it will be rough to work five days straight. It’s been about four weeks since I’ve done that.

I was in the process of trying to let my hair grow out. Thursday I had an appointment for just trim and body perm. The same day one of my inmate workers informed me that my wireless rim glasses and hair reminded him of Hetty on NCIS. Had to Google this because I don’t watch the program. This is the same worker who told me that my new tortoise frame glasses looked like Amy Farrah Fowler on the Big Bang Theory. Tact is not his strong suite…and I think he watches too much television. If he makes any comments referring to Mike and Molly, I feel that I will be totally justified in killing him. However after appraising the situation I decided I probably did look better with my hair short and layered….so I’m back to my normal five minute wash and go hair.

Today I’m going shopping with a friend. One of those stock-up trips to Wally World when you look in you cart and know that ultimately the 100 or so dollars you just dropped at the check-out is ultimately going to end up in the city lagoon or landfill.

Have a good week everyone.

I really like your hair in your new profile picture and trust me your hair is nothing like Hetty's!! She has Mamie Eisenhower bangs. Now we'll see how many remember that expression and know what it means.
Sun has finally appeared but it is cold out was looking forward to going to one of the wineries for dancing this afternoon but my friend said she has too much work :( I guess I should think about organizing for FL and work on instead of thinking about grooming other dogs...but I'm having a glass of wine with my chicken soup and will probably nap after lunch.

I have to tell you ladies we have one very talented and gracious lady among us. A lot of us knew that already, but she was put on the spot this morning and rose to the occasion beautifully. I invited Irmi to church with me this morning, and on the way I was telling her about our wonderfully talented pianist, a student at UF. When we got there we found out "Benny" did not come today...still on Christmas break, I guess. When it was shared that Irmi was an organist, she was recruited right away by one of our members. Not ever having met any of us, nor seen the church or the organ, or one of our services, Irmi hardly batted an eye and accepted. She plays beautifully, and played as if she had been there for years. Thank you, Irmi.

How wonderful that Irmi was available at church this AM. What a gift she has and was so comfortable sharing!! Envy that talent. Always wished I could play the piano.

Pat, your inmate has a lot of nerve saying your hair reminds him of Hetty. I remember Mamie's hair do. Ike's election was the first presidential election that registered on my radar. I need a hair cut before I start working on it myself. It's been 11 weeks since my last one.

I wanted to go to a starving artist sale in Lafayette this afternoon but was too lazy to go. I had bought a beach painting at one years ago and had it hanging in my office. It burned when our office burned. I have been looking for another one but can't find one I like as much as the one I had. So I spent all afternoon looking at beach pictures on the internet. A very productive afternoon.

It was gray and damp again today. Thank goodness it isn't freezing. My DH is still not feeling well so I have to feed. He has a dentist appointment in the morning but I am going in his place and he can take my appointment in a couple of weeks. He always makes appointments early so I will have to set the alarm so I can get there. It is suppose to warm back up to 70 on Tuesday but rain for 6 days. Grrrrrr We don't need anymore rain. The neighbor has a bunch of calves here and they can really make a mess with the mud.

The show Once Upon a Time is on again. I was watching it but now there are some different people. It is sure hard to follow the way they keep jumping around. The new Downton Abbey starts tonight. They have sure gotten a lot of mileage out of the reruns.
