Good morning all! :D Hope everyone is well today. Forgot to mention that we're having a heat wave here--was 34 for a high yesterday!!!

S-e, Tessa & Sassy, hope yew had a safe drive back to lower MI--it was nice hearing all abot yore time near the lake...Dawn, so glad yo're getting mom settled into her cabin before yew take off. Do we all jst realize that we'll probably be in her shoes one day, & that makes me thankfol that I have this opportewnity to do the RV thing now while I can!!! Soos, yes, enjoy "slothfolness"!!! Yew certainly earned it! My slothfolness is getting to bed at 8:00 rather than sleeping in til 8  Spinner & William having visions of sqwirrels dancing in their heads!!! Pixie feeling better :D Barbie, so glad yore feeling better physically, emotionally & mentally! Irmi & Liz having their own mini gtg! So good to hear abot everyone's days.

My bro will be here today to have owr New Year dinner. Neither he nor I were in the mood on the first, after digging owt from snow for a few days. We're both more relaxed now--like Karen says, Cmas over & everything back to "normal," which seems easier all the way arownd than all the holiday hoopla!

More coffee, & off to browse other topics! GTG's in AZ brewing! Y'all have a great day, be safe & love those loved ones! :P

Good morning, Donna, Carolb, and all that follow.... ;)

It's raining again here this morning...and it's suppose to be an all day event, so looks like a good day to read with the Nook and play on the computer.. :) Yesterday, was sunny and crisp....we had a campfire last evening, chatted & had snacks with our friend, Cathy.....nice evening...

Everyone's so excited and getting ready to go to the Jan. GTGs in AZ and FL.....We're happy about staying in one place for awhile. We probably won't be going to the FL GTG as we need to replenish the travel account and now with this "gimpy" pinky finger, kinda' have to stick around for whatever that involves...but will have the Sultan ready to jump in the truck with the "bail fund" if needed..... ;)  I promised, come hell or high water, we'll be there next year!!! :D ;)

Okay, coffee going here, too and biscuits with gravy in a little while....help yourself... ;)

Have a nice Sunday, all....

Good morning, Carolb and all. Kathleen, I hope you have a great time on your trip and learn a lot. I'll be praying for your safe journey to and fro. Also hope Shadow doesn't miss you too much.

Thistle and I had a nice walk and visit with an old friend and her dog yesterday. The friend is from my working days. Today I'll see Irmi for church, and tomorrow I will meet another old friend from my early childhood days in West Lebanon, NH. That one should be interesting as I haven't seen her or been in contact since I was about 10 years old. Other than her name, I don't remember much about her, haha. We connected on a new Facebook group called West Leb kids. Found out she is wintering in the Villages, not far from me. Hope she can fill in holes in my memory!

So it's a week of reunions for me. Hope everyone gets things accomplished today that are needed or wanted.

Good morning ladies!

It's great seeing so many posting already today! Carol, enjoy the meal with your brother. Donna, I hope you're able to make it to the beach again today. Lori, sorry you & the Sultan can't make it to this years FL GTG, but it gives us something to look forward to knowing you'll be there next year. Kathleen, have a good time on the trip. Did you find someone to take of Shadow? Liz, I'll see you in about 45 minutes!

The skies are starting to cloud over and we're supposed to have a rainy day here. After I get home from going to church with Liz, I'll probably read while Steve is watching the Ravens football game. I better take Teddy out for a long walk before the rain starts, so have a good day everyone!

Good morning all,
I love having coffee with you all first thing in the morning... Carol's recap helps keep all of us up-to-date & I enjoy seeing everyone's plans for the day. :)
Dawn, hope your mom's move went well. Sue, I hope you'll keep us posted on what you find when you get back home - hope the snow damage isn't too bad. Barbie, so glad you've got a new job & are starting to feel better. So sad that your dad got taken by those scammers - argh! Liz, can't wait to hear how your childhood reunion goes - what fun! And very cool that you & Irmi have some together. :) Donna, I'd give anything to spend the day at the beach - enjoy it as often as you can - for me!

I got the mega-van out of storage Friday afternoon since we were having a heat-wave on Saturday (40's - yeah!) - wanted to charge up the batteries, run the generator & just drive it a bit. Loved having it back home even if it was just for a short time :D - took it back last night since a cold front was coming thru again. Can't wait for springtime! Not sure if I'll keep it stored year-round or not - I love having it in my driveway - but also like it not being exposed to the elements in the caves. :? Anyway, tire pressure was still good, batteries still had a good charge & generator started right up! And I got to run around in it on a nice sunny day! Loved it! :D

Well, have to head into the office - upgrading the network this morning... 8-)
Enjoyed my coffee with you all... And Red, I have a poem about the importance of girl friends - hopefully I can find it today & add it to your post. That's the beauty of this group - we understand each other as only women can... :)
Later...

Good morning everyone!

Kathleen, don't care if someone on TV doesn't like LOL. I think it is a great way to let everyone know you are tickled about something. LOL. Enjoy your trip to MO.

Lori, enjoy your day reading or watching TV while it rains. We had that rain yesterday.

Ava, scrambled eggs added to the biscuits and gravy from Lori sounds really good. That's the way I like them too. Biscuits, gravy and then the eggs on top. Best breakfast ever.

Liz, my Mom is from that part of the country too. She is from Woodstock, VT. I was born in Hanover and younger sister was born in Lebanon even though we were living in Woodstock at the time. It is great to meet up with childhood friends again.

Donna, enjoy your day at the beach.

Carolb, hope you and your brother enjoy your dinner.

We got Mom mostly settled in her cabin yesterday. I still have things to take to her today from my rig. Mostly paperwork she has stored here. Paul is going to empty out his storage bins that are mostly full of Mom's things. He is going to have empty storage bins for a while. That should help his gas mileage. LOL. I am going to have to use one of his bins until I can get another tow vehicle to put the dog's pen in. Got a call from Mom this morning and she needs salt and pepper so going to be taking that to her along with her paperwork as soon as I get through with my shower. Not moving quickly this morning. Have a lot to decide where to put inside my rig now. I have all the livingroom storage now which Mom was using before. I usually work into Sunday slowly. Today is no different, but do need to get moving or Mom will call again to make sure I have not forgotten her. LOL.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL----

The sun is finally breaking through the heavy fog that we have been experiencing each morning for about a week now. My outdoor thermometer is now in the direct sun, and the temperature is reading 102! Guess I should move that to the shade and see what it really is out there.

Liz it's really fun to meet up with old friends-----you should have a neat time remembering the "old days!" I, too, have reconnected with a few of my friends from the third grade back in Hartford, CT. Amazing what fun times can be relived! (And sad times, as well, as one friend remembered the morning my cat, Schitzy, jumped fromm my doll carriage, darted into the street right in front of a lady's car. Lady said "Ooooops", and kept right on trucking.) Poor Schitzy kept running for about 10 feet. I got to her, picked her up, and she died in my arms. It was my first experience with death, and I was really traumatized for years about it. My friend, Linda, was with me.

I'll let the pups play free for another while today, then head back home to Orlando for three more days of zapping treatments. Supposed to rain later anyway, so home I will go.

Looking forward to the GTG now, and need to begin packing and amassing food and drinks for the shindig. My friend, Kathy, from back home expects to be back in time to come with me....she will love you ladies, I am sure!

Happy Sunday to all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Chilly and cloudy here, too, tho I sincerely doubt if it's in the 20's like you east coasters. Yesterday over 70, sunny and beautiful. Today 58-60 and probably rain. Glad I don't need to go out for anything. Not a jammie day but definitely a day for comfy warm clothes.

Car goes in tomorrow morning at 7:30 for service and RZR goes in Tues for his annual checkup. Diesel trucks now have to be smogged in Cali, so the truck needs to be done before the middle of Feb. It's quite the rip off here. Pretty much all they do is check to make sure you haven't chipped it and see if there's any exhaust smoke at idle and high rpm. For that, the garage gets 70 bucks and the state gets 40 or so for the smog cert. Hope will go in in June before I hit the road again for her annual. And the poor Harley has dust all over him and has been completely ignored since I've been home. I need to do something about that.

Stay warm today and have a great Sunday!

Stayed up way too late last night and am paying for it this morning. I'm in sluggish mode. I've got a load of laundry in the washer and need to do at least one more load today. And we still have laundry from the trip. But I need to get work clothes first - ugh! And then shower and about.

I have a slow leaker on my truck - need to go air it up and sometime this week get to Discount Tire. Why do I see a new set of tires in my future? I should have done this yesterday but it rained all day.

And I need to call my sister to discuss family reunion plans. We are responsible for this year's reunion and there's a lot of work that goes into it.

Was this the weekend that Red was leaving on her trip to AZ? Or is it next? I can't remember. I hope they have as good of time as I did on my trip to AZ. The one thing I do regret though was not stopping in Phoenix. I didn't get to meet Ava. But we just drove straight through both times. DBF had lived north of Phoenix so he wasn't interested in sight-seeing so we spent our time in Tucson.

I started doing TripAdvisor reviews last night and now I need to post reviews here and at rvparkreviews of the places we stayed before I forget. I use those sites when planning trips so I think it's necessary to pay it back when I travel. It's interesting to read what's important to some people and you have to take reviews with a grain of salt, but they do help when you aren't familiar with an area. Of course, word of mouth is also important. That's how we got our park in Tucson - on Beth's recommendation. And it was a good one!

Good Morning! Well it’s been an uneventful week around here, but one with too many Mondays and Fridays! I hate it when holidays land mid week. I will be glad to get back to a normal schedule this week but it will be rough to work five days straight. It’s been about four weeks since I’ve done that.

I was in the process of trying to let my hair grow out. Thursday I had an appointment for just trim and body perm. The same day one of my inmate workers informed me that my wireless rim glasses and hair reminded him of Hetty on NCIS. Had to Google this because I don’t watch the program. This is the same worker who told me that my new tortoise frame glasses looked like Amy Farrah Fowler on the Big Bang Theory. Tact is not his strong suite…and I think he watches too much television. If he makes any comments referring to Mike and Molly, I feel that I will be totally justified in killing him. However after appraising the situation I decided I probably did look better with my hair short and layered….so I’m back to my normal five minute wash and go hair.

Today I’m going shopping with a friend. One of those stock-up trips to Wally World when you look in you cart and know that ultimately the 100 or so dollars you just dropped at the check-out is ultimately going to end up in the city lagoon or landfill.

Have a good week everyone.

A late good morning to you all. Slept in this morning. My head is still a little stuffed up yet but otherwise feeling pretty good now.

I have my orientation meeting this afternoon at the new shop and then start working tomorrow. I am nervous! I hate new situations and having to learn new things. At least I know the boss and am comfortable with her.

I talked to my older brother yesterday and he is going to look into his options tomorrow. He doesn't have POA but has his name on my dad's line of credit at the bank so he is going to have it frozen so he can't get at that. I found out a lot more of what has been going on while I was in California. Pretty scary!

Dawn, I am wondering why you didn't keep your mom's Jeep as your tow vehicle? Maybe you want something smaller?
Soos, that is awful about your cat! I can't imagine witnessing that, even now. How traumatizing!

Lola is spending a lot more time out of the bedroom now and playing more. She seems happy now. She hasn't come up to sleep on my bed yet but hopefully soon. It is nice to have her around again.

I still have no appetite but keep trying to force myself to eat a little bit here and there to get my energy level up.

Noticed that gas is down again below $3/gln so I guess I better fill it up before the prices go back up again. Am glad I won't be using nearly as much gas now that I work 1/2 block from home.

OK, done rambling...have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Wow, Dawn, we were practically neighbors. I was born in Lebanon too, lived in West Leb until about 10, then we moved to a farm in West Hartford, VT...just over the hill from Quechee and Woodstock. I graduated fom UVM in1970.
