Yes it is and I just returned from a C-section where the baby was born at 2 minutes after Midnite. Not planned that way either. First baby of the year for the county. I am at work obviously with 6 more hours to go. I never post this early or often but going to make an effort to do that. We shall see. I am in the NICU this tour of duty and have a preemie, and 2 drug withdrawing babies...sigh. Good thing the section baby was fine and dandy. The other two babies keep me hopping.

Hooray! Bethers, thanks for the "pat on the back" for a "newbie!" So glad to see that "oldies" really did get here first :D Happy New Year to all! I forgot the "rabbit" thing, speaking to my dogs first. I woke at 11:15 last night (yes, after falling asleep at 7:30), so I saw the ball drop, & then greeted the poopers for the new year....doesn't hold a candle to Karen tho, helping deliver the first baby in her area! A new life for a new year... Hmmm, my "real" new year starts when I take off for the FL GTG!!! :P Wishing blessings to all, have a great day & be safe always! 8-)

Good morning on this day of firsts. The ball didn't drop for me last night....I dropped first, haha. And the sun didn't rise for me this morning either...too foggy. But I woke up refreshed and ready to enjoy planning for this new year.

I decided to move to another site at the park here in McIntosh while they have an electrician try to fix the issue of insufficient power at my favorite site. I'll only be here 4 more weeks anyway, so that seemed like a reasonable thing to do.

There are things I always do on the first of the month...like exercise the genny, lubricate the steps, and now added flea and tick meds. and heart worm meds for Thistle. Guess I'll get to it.

Make the most of this first day of a new year.

Good morning everyone. Welcoming in 2013 with more rain today here.

Barbie, so glad you are starting to feel better.

Liz, happy for you that you get to stay in the same park even if not on your favorite site. I have been loving your pictures and Thistle's adventures.

Carolb, like Beth said, it does not matter who opens up the MC, just that it gets opened. LOL. We all need our morning coffee.

Ava, hope your fur baby gets to feeling better with the antibiotics.

Woke up with a wicked headache today. Feel like I am trying to get a sinus infection too from all the allergy issues here with the pine trees and rain. Had a full day of things planned to get done, but they may wait until tomorrow. I am going to load up on allergy medicine again and probably sleep most of the day. Will see how much energy I have as the day goes on if I can get rid of the headache. Mom traded her Jeep in yesterday on a Chrysler Journey. It is a much better vehicle for her. She is hoping to get moved into the cabin this week. I will need to move everything around again to get my weight distributed after we move her stuff out. Hope I have at least a couple days to do that before we leave here heading south toward FL.

Am going to get myself another cup of coffee and a couple aspirin. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

HAPPPY NEW YEAR everyone,

Karen, loved having you open the coffee room this morning, and having delivered a new baby into the world besides. What a better way to start. Hope the other two you are watching over continue to improve as well.

And my Ms. Sassy is a birthday girl today. Turns 11 yrs. right now she is outside laying in the cold and snow, enjoying her last days of being a "yooper dog".

A whole brand new year to start fresh with. I didn't watch the ball drop either. Was sound asleep at the time, but did get woke by Ms. Tessa around 12:15 to go out. Didn't look any different out there than it did in 2012, just as cold and snowy as it was yesterday  I see our lawmakers in Washington, managed to liven up the evening a bit with their on again, off again, Fiscal cliff stuff. Now they know what's it's like for the other 98% of us who work on Holidays.

LIz, good idea moving to a different site. No use fighting with electrical issues when you don't have too.

Barbie, sounds like you might be making a change of work place again. Certainly hope this one works out for the better for you. You've been tossed around by Great Clips long enough.

Plans for the FL GTG are going to be the topic of coversation for the next couple of weeks as those who are going, start packing and getting their lists in order. Those of us who can't join them this year, will be waiting for pictures and updates when the time arrives. You know, what goes on at the FL GTG doesn't stay at the FL GTG

Judy is already starting to plan her spring trip up the east coast and back to Michigan.

And I am thinking of how I am going to pack my van back up for the trip home on Saturday and have started to put some things I don't need to use or wear into the totes. Am thinking of going to the laundromat today and doing the dogs blankets and my comforter off my bed. Me thinks it might be a quite day up there. Do have some other laundry to do, but want to wait till end of week and have it all clean to pack and then just have to put away when I get home. Hard to believe it's time to head back south, but need to get back into my other routine now. I know the furkids will not be happy after having a whole month with no fenced in yard and no leashes on our walks.

Guess it's time to move along here and get the first day of this year started. Hope you all have a great day today, not matter what you are getting into.

Good morning and Happy New Year to all of you
Daughter texted me last night, she got engaged, said she would call me today.
The girls got up early and already have had their breakfast and gone back to bed. I'm still waiting for the coffee pot to finish.
Pixie hates her medicine of course but at least its liquid and not a pill.
Wishing all my forum sisters a fabulous new year.

Happy New Year. The beginning of another year. Stayed up and watched the ball drop, sipped some bubbly and watched (and listened to) all the fireworks in the area. They didn't bother Tyler, but I couldn't sleep until after the last pop. They sounded like gun shots as well. Just like the ole Wild West. I'll probably take the tree down while watching the Rose parade. What memories I have about New Years while living in SoCal. While in college, i marched in the Rose Parade numerous time as part of the USC marching band. Ex hubby grew up in Pasadena and his mom was active with the Tournament of Roses. They worked all year on the parade. But we would go up and stay at her house for the 31 & 1st. They would stage the floats on residential streets a few blocks from MILs house. Our New Year's Eve was spent bundled up wandering through the streets watching all the last minute prep of the floats while drinking champagne from the bottle. Then we'd find our way to the shop (ex hubby owned a shop on Colorado blvd) and stand on the balcony and watch the parade. Then back to the house for a quick nap, then walk down the hill to the Rose Bowl. MIL had life tickets to the Rose Bowl game!!! When we moved to Hawaii, we just did not feel like it was the new year unless we were a part of the Pasadena ritual. After a few years of flying back for New Years, finances dictated we start our own New Year tradition. For those years in Hawaii, it was always meeting up with friends on the beach with a Bon fire toasting the New Year. Now, in Texas, each year is a bit different :P

Hope everyone has a Happy & Blessed New Year. Stay safe and warm. Aloha y'all

Happy New year from a sunny day in Normal... Karen I know about early morning New Years births... my twins were born on NY in 58... long time ago...
We got fluffy white stuff yesterday maybe 3 inches... looks very pretty...
I will go over to my grandson Tim's house after while... they are finishing up things so he can move in by the 15th... re-doing an older house is more trouble than building one from scratch...
Looks like a nice day ahead after I get awake!

Happy New Year !!! Didn't last for the ball drop last night but Maggie and I, were awake until mid morning, when the last fire cracker went off, which I was thinking by then they would never quit. Yesterday, my cold, I picked up from my grands settled down in my chest, so thinking I might be a medical problem too, Lori. So sorry about your pinkie, they hurt, have experienced that, don't care to again. Hope it feels better soon. Glad you have some fish for your pain :D

The forum has been very busy this morning. Thats so nice, I always enjoy reading with my coffee. Have the parade on now, but thinking of you all and wanted my New Years wishes to be on record to for all of you to have the best year you could possibly ask for or want. Top of that list is good health for all, so you can do what you want.

I have no real plans for today, my DD is not feeling well today either. I'm thinking tomorrow, I will go to St Pk nearby for a couple of days, time I had electric. My batteries went so low this past wk, thought I wasn't going to be able to get my Gen going . I really didn't want to run it here, but no choice. Its been several weeks since I had hook ups, so time.

Maggie is setting here looking at me like, we aren't going for our walk today either ?? I'm going to give it a try, what a fabulous walk around the lake, its beautiful.

Hope you all have a good day, and the Best of New Years, with a lot of wishes coming true this year !! Hope to meet many of you in the New Year , looking forward to it.

CArol :)
