SD Family Reunion Trip

Postby khenrie » Mon Jul 21, 2008 11:02 am

Hi honeys, I'm home!

Had a great weekend, but whew, long trip for a 1-day reunion! Arrived home at 6:45am this morning. Left my hometown about 11am yesterday, so what is that? About 19 hours of driving? Somebody check my math! lol tooo tired. Had to be at work at 7am. Thankfully, I can sneak in a shower here, and did!

We had a blast and took lots of pictures. 75 of us showed up. My kids and I had a great, leisurely trip home too. Laughed harder than I have in a long time. I'll fill in the details when I get the pictures posted, probably tomorrow.

Took my grown kids to the Corn Palace, Wall Drug and Mount Rushmore on the way home. We had fun playing tourist!

I plan to SLEEP tonight! EARLY!

*****HERE IS PICTURES :P ****

What a great time with 75 family members there,.... so nice that you all got together for a happy occasion. so many times it's a funeral that draws families together,... did you get a picture of the whole group? i am so glad you had a fun and safe trip.

Oh I'm so glad the trip worked out so well for you. When you talked about the long drive home, I was thinking you were driving all of it. So glad you had time to sightsee - that makes it even better.

Will be looking forward to seeing some of the pics!

glad you had a great time, but ya gotta get rested up so you don't get your
resistance down and get a nasty summer cold. 19 hours is a very long drive,
I could have never done that, used to do 16 but that was a few years ago,
now my high limit is 10 but I like to stop at 8.

Thanks for the pics,.... what a wonderful thing to have your daughters and your grandmother in the same pictures. Too often our grandparents generation is gone before our own kids can get to know them. Cherish those times!
