Good morning friends! Happy Christmas Eve. Everybody getting ready for different types of celebrations, some quiet by themselves others with family. I, like Soos, will reflect on Christmases past. But all doing that try to make them happy reflections. I can't help but thinking back to when i was a child, then my kids, then gkds, then my last Christmas with my husband, and the seven after including this one. Mainly I wonder where has time gone? Family will be over for brunch tomorrow, gdsons gf has a little one. So it will nice to have a child around again (for awhile!) Pepper wants the toys I bought for him to give his cousins! Going to Lowes for a furnace filter and then maybe off to do some people watching! You all have a great day! Wendy

good morning ladies
as I sit and reflect past Christmas's when the kids were little and now will be able to enjoy a new one growing each year and watch
the amazement in his eyes at all the sparkle and glittery lights. Can hardly wait till Jack is old enough to take to the yearly Zoolights.
Nothing is planned for today, but will watch a little tv and hope to find more Christmas specials on that I haven't seen over the past
week. Hope you all have a very festive holiday, be safe and be warm. And for all of you.....(((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))

Wow - what a Christmas gift - I found out I can make a biscuit! These turned out great. I had TWO and the trash can is enjoying the rest...

I wish you lived a little closer Mitch I would have been happy to make sausage gravy and eggs to go with those yummy looking biscuits! I wouldn't have to cook much if you were closer, you could just send your excesses my way instead of the dumpster

Soos, my little one is a toy chewer, DH bought him two of those indestructible Pet Co toys made out of fire hose. Took him almost two hours but he got the squeaker out. He's the first, none of my other dogs have ever torn up a toy. The toy chest is considerable lighter though since Toby's arrival.

Merry Christmas to all!

Happy Christmas Eve day to everyone...
Yesterday after church my son in law took all of us to Olive Garden for lunch... everyone else had a meal I had soup and salad... then Margie and I went grocery shopping sure needed that... she brought things in and I took care of them... busy day for sure...
This evening we will go to Christmas Eve service then to my daughters for chili and presents... then tomorrow we will gather for dinner at her house... it will be a busy time...
I have always loved Christmas every since I had children before that it was awful... now it is very good still...
The Holiday season can be very depressing to many... but the pain soon goes away...
OH Mitch we used to call the first biscuits 'SINKERS'... but yours look scrumptious... would have loved to share them with you... could have bought coffee and jam along...
Take care everyone and enjoy this day...

Not so chilly last night, but would have been warmer inside if I had remembered to close one of my windows up front! Did I mention earlier that I went shopping this past week, wearing a sweater that I had forgotten to take the tag off of?? Not a little inside tag, but one of those big ones on a long tie on the outside?? Discovered it only after I got home and took it off.

Had a breakfast of fresh blueberries and whipped cream. Next will be a big slice of the banana nut bread I made a couple of days ago. You're welcome to a slice. Maybe I'll make a couple of loaves for the GTG in January.

Got some crab claws for dinner tonight and fresh raspberries, so I will be treating myself well today. The rest of the day will be just resting and hanging around. I might take a bike ride later in the afternoon or save it for tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing at least three of my grandchildren the next day in Ohio.

Here's wishing a very Merry Christmas Eve and Christmas to all.

Mitch, wouldn't they freeze? And, yes, they look very very good.

I'm baking the same vegetable dish for tomorrow as I made for Thanksgiving. Hopefully the couple folks who asked for it were telling the truth and not just being kind. :-)

So interesting to read of all the ways we are spending Christmas! All the cooking prep would wear me out!

Mitch, wish I could have helped eat those biscuits! Yum.

I have done pretty well in the depression and tears department so far this month. One niece posted some photos on FB that brought tears this morning. Most were of my sister's beautifully decorated house where I know there will be great times. Still have to get through next week which would have been our 46th wedding anniversary.

Mass is at 5 today so we will leave at 2:30 to make a stop at WalMart in Parker first.

I enjoyed being able to watch the Seahawk football game last night and followed with a couple Christmas movies I had recorded.

May you all have a wonderful Christmas however you are spending it.

Happy Christmas Eve to the fab WRV group! Whew! Been busy this morning getting the stuffing put together and in the crock pot, fruit salad made and kitchen cleaned up. Made the cornbread yesterday for the stuffing and a pumpkin pie, so I'm about ready to head out to my daughters house in an hour or so. She lives a whopping 10 miles or less away from me. LOL! But I'm spending the next couple of nights there to be with them and my grand. I'm so proud of myself! I haven't made a pie completely from scratch in years. I usually just get the ready made pie crust, but guess the old girl still has it 'cause this crust turned out great! How do I know? Had some dough left over and made an apple dumpling for dessert last nite....oh boy! Must be like riding a bike. :D

Mitch, is that the recipe I gave you? Or did I give you one...can't remember, gave someone my recipe for biscuits. Hmmm...

Havingfunnow, The William looks so regal, I sure would enjoy meeting him one of these days!

Hang tight Anita, this also will pass. Hugs, GF. ( I used to say MF, meaning My Friend, but someone once asked me if it stood for something else.... :D )

Looking forward to seeing a bunch of you in less than a month!

Hoping everyone has a joyful Christmas...and if not joyful, at least peaceful.

Just wanted to stop by & wish everyone a really Merry Christmas whether with family, friends and/or the precious 4-legged companions....It has not been a great year for me so will be happy to see 2012 be over...that's something I can celebrate. However, some good has come about so I am grateful for that. Had surgery a week ago & not recovering very well, was running out of those quicky microwave dinners, etc. and wondering if I could possibly manage a visit to the store....phone rings & it's my son asking how I feel & is there anything he can do for me & I decided it was time to let him help me...(Absolutely hate to burden anyone with my problems...) So I asked if he & my DIL would pick up a few groceries for me...well, they did, so now I have some easy stuff on my menu....Plus, my son said he would pick me up & bring me to their house for Christmas day celebrations....AND my Grandson called & said his grades are coming in from his college courses and it looks like he'll have a 3.6 GPA.....may not sound all that super but for a kid that was almost lost to us from drugs, bad habits & friends, he sure has made a super turn around over the last almost 2 yrs. The only other thing is when the power went out (again....) last night it only took 2 hrs to come back on rather than the 5 hrs. they predicted....so maybe the end of this year is picking up vibes from the coming 2013... :D
So from me to all of you...enjoy, be happy for all the blessings you have & share your happiness with those around you.....much love to all of you, you have made my life so much better with all the sharing of your every day lives....thank you and God Bless....

A quite Christmas planned here if weather doesn't get out of hand. Nicky and I will stay home.
Severe thunderstorms with 3+ inches of rain in forecast with moderate potential for tornados late tomorrow. Rain changing to snow on Wednesday. Not what I want for Christmas.
Altho it rained off and on all day today, it was a better day than what was forecast. Temps in mid 60s and rained stopped late in day with a little sunshine. Clouds were thin enough when I climbed the hill for mail at dusk to see the nearly full moon.
BIL continuing to improve. He has asked doctor to let him at least spend a few hours at home Christmas Day; doctor said he would consider the request depending on how BIL is doing in the morning.
Niece who had knee replaced at Thanksgiving got okay to resume driving today. Pretty good Christmas present for both of us.
I've been watching ROOTS off and on past few days. Think there are only a couple of episodes left.
Wishing all a Merry Christmas and at least a few smiles for the day.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!
