Good morning all. Carolb did a great job with re-caps of everyone's goin ons. DITTO. Grammy's hot chocolate bar looks yummy. Did see any adult additives :P Personally, I like a shot of Kahlua with my Hot Cocoa :P I'm getting ready to go to church. Then I will enjoy the nice weather and go for a walk and do a little geocaching.

We just got an invite to go see DHs son, DIL & GS for Xmas eve to exchange gifts, etc. Nice of them to wait till yesterday to make the invitation  They only live 12 miles from us, but we only see them a couple times a year. I'll never understand that! So DH and I are going to go to a movie and to a restaurant for prime rib on Christmas Day. I told DH that next year I have no intention of sitting around here waiting for his son to decide if he wants to spend time with us at Xmas. We will be in Florida where I have relatives that would love to spend time with us. :P

Have a great day. Stay warm and safe. Aloha y'all

GOOD MORNING ALL!

'Twas a bit coolish this morning here in Orlando, as I walked barefooted through crispy frost on the grass when I tied Dinah out for her morning thing! I could see scattered frost on all the rooftops, too. I hope that St. cloud didn't get the crispy, as when I was talking to the steer farmer neighbor the other day, he was so hoping he wouldn't have to feed his cows for 30 to 90 days while the tons of acres of grass grows back for his herds. The wind the other day kept it frost-free down there, but I am afraid last night was windless and perhaps frosty. He may have to begin dipping into his myriads of rolls of hay he has for just such emergencies. My ancient heater in this house is keeping me and the pups nice and toasty. Built by General Electric back in 1980, this air conditioner-heating system has been running ever since.....a good track record I would say.

I assume the kids made it to Tampa to Melissa's parents' house safely, and I hope they are all having a fun time. I may head over to Sea World tonight for a while, using my season's pass with free parking. It is so festive over there at this Christmas season. I got the check from the oil company that is harvesting on my and my brother's property in North Dakota, meager as it may be it is still better than nothing. I need to sign that and deposit it today.

Hope you all have a fun day today doing last minute stuff for the big day. I wish I were having small kids around as that always makes Christmas for me. Sigh. Oh well----I guess the dogs and I will have to make our own fun. Happy Sunday!

Good Christmas Eve eve morning to you all. It's pretty quiet here this morning as gd spent the night with her mom. Just me and the cats. We are having our breakfast (honey nut Cheerios) ( young cat likes the cereal dry, older one likes the milk when I'm done!) and getting ready to get busy here today. I want to get my cleaning done so I can be lazy tomorrow! Also need to run to Home Depot for some furnace filters and a new gas line for my grill. Danged little squirrels chewed thru the one I just bought. And they are 25$! And I need to stop for a bottle of wine, as I'm out. Gotta have some wine! Well, not for breakfast, but you know what I mean!

Reading about all the gatherings in the plannings for Florida and I so wish I could be there and be warm, smell the salt air, enjoy the sunshine! I really hate winters! Some day! For now, just know I'm there with you all in spirit and love reading every episode!

Soos, they sure don't build them like they used to!

Well, guess I'd better get a move on! May you all have the merriest of Christmases and be surrounded by those you love!

Good morning, all....Wow, lots happen when you miss a day here... :o I checked yesterday morning then got involved with my Christmas present from the Sultan...He got me a Nook and after I set it up, got my 1st book, I got to reading and just did that for part of the day.....Then our friends' son is home for Christmas and they had a gathering of family & friends here, so made my "pepper slaw" to take for the cookout....went to the cookout here in the backyard, enjoyed the company and the campfire, but Ernie & I were in for the night around 8pm.....the party did continue with the son's friends until wee-hours this morning. Good news is that we slept thru it.... ;) Thank goodness for the campfire as it turned quite chilly after the sun went down...It was a great time...

We haven't decided what we may do today.....still having our coffee and listening to the news....

Okay, will stop for now....have a great day, all...

We had carolers last night -- several young couples with a handful of toddlers/preschoolers. Fun! There were two little boys, both so small that they could barely see over The William's back as they stood on either side of him. One patted him the whole time. The other leaned in and kissed his fur repeatedly. Wm was thrilled -- and I was might happy too! :D I love to see small kids enjoying the dog.

Good morning all, happy 23rd! We all are getting ready to celebrate in many different ways, from quiet celebrations to big family gatherings. Lorna already is using her gift and red is getting a new sewer pipe! Carol, I love you starting our day with no yew! What's scary is we know exactly what you're saying! Christmas here will be brunch and then the rest of the day to myself after that. Tonight younger son and family and I may go to Zoolight, the zoos all decorated with lights and different things. Never been, should be fun. Not too cold, the catch is bad weather supposed to be coming. I'm going to make my list so I don't forget anything and make one more trip to the store. Tomorrow I may go get a cup of coffee somewhere and just watch the action! But I will be through! I always find that amusing for some reason, and glad I am not on the other side as i was in 19 years of retail! Everyone have FUN and stay SAFE, its a jungle out there! Wendy
