    Ernie & I are still enjoying our "belly laughs" with this....If it is a "1st come, 1st get the Pavilion" thing, putting chairs or maybe a "WomenRVer GTG" sign on a post would work....use a paper bag or something like that, if you want...

No Sarah. I like her way better! And she has to stay until some of us get there. It occured to me that we are probably going to be the whole park anyway! And also we should be open to letting anyone join us. When I went to pensacola by myself once and a motorcycle group "adopted" me it was a blast. But I didnt get on one! But Sharon, i agree with you about the horses. I wiould get on a bike before a horse anyday!

I'm guessing the pavilion is reservable for a fee...will check the website.

On edit, this from the website:
MEETINGS & RETREATS
Visitors can picnic under one of the pavilions built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s or at one of the other open picnic benches available throughout the park. Seven pavilions are available to rent for $50 or $80. Rental fact sheets are available on the park website. For larger groups the Recreation Hall is available to rent. The Recreation Hall is an air-conditioned facility with a capacity for 100 people. Call the park at (813) 987-6771 for more information.

I'm guessing if a pavilion is not rented, we can use it on a first come, first serve basis. That would be the way to go, I think. Otherwise, someone will have a site big enough to gather in, weather permitting.

When I talked to the Ranger last week, she said there was no charge and it was 1st come-1st served. I can just see you, Soos, spread out on one of the picnic tables for an overnight holding the pavilion. However, the sites are large and will allow for many to gather. Soos is located very close to the pavilion.

Got a head start on Christmas and bought my own gift this year. I rushed over to Camping World when I saw the sales brochure and picked up the the Dometic mini ice maker. It promises up to 26 lbs. of ice per day and is a nice size to tuck in a corner of my small TT. Will bring the "ice baby" to the FL GTG!

Linda,

I love my ice maker. If it ever goes out, it is one thing that will be immediately replaced.

See ya in FL!

I'm with ya, Dawn. I would replace mine immediately too. Nice to know someone will have their's so I won't bring mine. :D

I am more than willing to share ice. It is a must have to me. I drink way too much diet coke not to have an ice maker.

I love ice also, but I put bottles of water in my freezer, then when I want one I take it out and let it slowly melt. Can't stand even normally cold water. My frozen water lasts several hours that way, and I top it off wherever I am, so that the big ice cube in it keeps the water chilled. I used to put bottles of water in the office and my home freezers before I took off my my trips, so this has been a long habit.

The tricky part is to take it out an hour or two ahead of time so it starts to melt a bit before I go out somewhere. Usually there are three bottles in varying degrees of being frozen, so I manage. I do make ice in my tiny ice cube trays and store it in plastic bags, so I have that for iced tea and such.

Can't live without ice!! Wish I had space for an ice machine, but am managing as I am.
