Sounds like you jumped right into RVing with both feet. Good for you! I too started RVing after the loss of my DH. Have never regretted my decision, and now full-time. The Chinook looks like a nice little unit. Glad you joined us.

Nah, no regrets, you made a great decision!! About the rv, anyway, the parrots I'm not so sure. I dated a guy for a while that had one of those turquoise and yellow parrots, dang bird bit me every chance he had. I threatened to roast him for Thanksgiving dinner one time if he bit me again. Never gave him the chance, broke up with the guy not to long after that, he was as much a jerk as his bird was. :D Anyway, welcome to the forum, you and your birds are so welcome here and we're glad to have you. Let us know if there's any way we can help you, and we love pictures!! I do believe there are a few of the girls that live in Tx and surrounding states. Lots of chances for gtg's!

Welcome to the forum. I was at a rally this year where a lady traveled with 2 parrots. She had a big Class A and a big cage for the parrots. If you want to travel with pets an RV is the way to go.

We have some members in the Austin, Kerrville and San Antonio area. Watch for GTG's(get togethers) and you might find some to camp with. Some of us were just at Canyon Lake around Halloween. I think 3 people, 3 parrots and a dog in a 21' motorhome would be a little crowded. I travel with my sister sometimes in a 23' motorhome and that's crowded.

Hi and welcome. And thanks for sharing a pic so quickly. Now you need to learn how to hoist pics offsite...look in the tech, maintenance room for directions on a couple methods Saves us on bandwidth.

And I'd never rv'd when I got mine. I thought I was going to use it part time, but a couple months later I took off full time and have never regretted it. Hope you love it as much, full or part time. Its all good.

A big old Texas welcome from Kerrville. You picked a great rig. I recently downsized from a 30' class C (I fulltimed for three years) to a 19' Roadtrek. I travel with two dogs - its the only way to travel with pets.

in storage but its coming out soon and Texas is on my list to investigate. So glad you found us and would love to see pics of your birds.

Welcome from another from Texas. I started fulltiming after the death of my husband earlier this year. We had 5th wheels, but it is an understatement to say I had trouble backing up a trailer, so he advised me to get a motorhome. I travel with 3 dogs, a fish and at the moment, one parakeet. have just ordered a flight cage with the right dimensions and will be getting one or two more parakeets to keep the one I have now company. In the motorhome, have found very hard to keep the dogs closed up so the parakeet can fly around. All my menagerie travel really well. I look forward to meeting you somewhere down the road. We will probably be back in the Texas area next fall.

Welcome to the forum.....most regrets are for the stuff we didn't try to do... :? :) I agree that you may have been a bit short on room with two guests but on the plus side....maybe you caused one of them to think about getting their own unit! It is great to travel with friends and even better when we each have our own "house" to go back to after the quiet campfire..... :)

Welcome! Love that you jumped right in to rving. I still work FT and am limited to weekend trips and short vacations. Truly enjoy reading about the trips everyone else is taking, and hope to read about yours as well.

A late welcome from another Texan. I work FT so I only RV part time. And that's what I was doing - gone on a 2-week vacation to AZ. It was so nice to be able to pay 1/4 the price of a hotel room per night AND be able to cook my own food! Plus no pet deposit for the 2 fur rugs - even if they do take up all the floor space!!!
