Okay, I've been hiding inside cause its gotten cold at night. Ernie's stew drew me out. Let's see, what goes with stew? Ah, I know. A hot toddy. No, even better - a Bailey's and hot coffee. Oooooh yes.

If I pull this camp chair any closer I'll set it on fire! It's only about 9° above zero here right now. So,... I'll make a quick dash by and share some hot toddy with you all,... and also some apple cake I just made. Wait,..... I have an idea,.. how about a reflective back drop behind our chairs to reflect the heat .... oh that DOES feel better! :D

DANG that fire sure does feel good tonight!!!

I'm bringing some more logs to keep this baby stoked! And, as it's way too cold here for beer, I am going to pull up a chair with a sleeping bag to cover up in and make me some hot toddies! (Don't I wish I could REALLY be out around a fire tonight. They will have tons of them at the Cascade Ski Center to celebrate the full moon skiing night------huge fires, hot dogs, s'more stuff, kegs o' beer, hot chocolate, lots of skiers for company-----sigh, sure do wish I could be there! Then they have live music and dancing in the lodge afterwards.) I was there last year at this time.....it was so much fun!

awwww, gonna sit and warm up a bit before bedtime, and a hot toddy on the side
will help. Had a great visit with my sis and hubby, I feel so much younger now cause
she looks older  (she's two years older than me) Took a nice walk around our
community, she wanted to check it all out and find out about availability for next
winter, etc. She is loving this nice weather and back in Wisconsin they are having
their COLDEST week of the year and having sub zero weather warnings, expected
to be -40 :o yikes
We did alot of talking and trying to catch up, then it was time for them to go check
into their motel, tomorrow we are going to go hike Piestewa Peak :P and yes I'm
taking my camera! Also have an update on my brother I will post in another post.
Tah tah for now

Thanks for looking after the campfire. Up north January and February are the longest months to make it through.....we need all the warmth and glow we can get :) Lets keep it going. And if anyone wants to tell stories, I hear there is a good one about two chicks that traveled to Mexico......

Tina and her bored furry pups who don't consider computer time all that interesting....they want to play outside but with people. And this people is not going outside.

You said it, Tina.....January and February are definitely the longest, coldest, darkest months of winter! But I can actually notice that the afternoons are staying lighter longer now, and that always gives my heart a jump-start!

Now, when I can walk down my front steps at 6:30 am and be able to see them without a flashlight, THAT'S when I will do a little dance to celebrate!

Time for me to get into all my outside gear and bring in more firewood. That beats the gym any day!!

Hey gals!! So glad to see the campfire is still going strong. I'm gonna have a cup of hot chocolate and sit awhile. This is the only campfire I will see for awhile since I'm in Arizona for a few months. Carolyn surprised me with a call the other night. I Have to play with the plug in on my computer to get it to charge so I can log on for a bit. Tonight is the first time I have had to spend much time playing with it since we got here last Monday.I got a little charge so I thought I'd log on and check in. I know---I am going to have to buy a new computer---just saving up!!

Arizona is nice----suppossed to be in the 70's this week. Sure beats the 4 degrees with a -15 to -25 wind chill in Illinois Christmas. Bash is doing fine with her new knee. She will probably have the other one done next summer. Tobey loves it here. Between all the running with the scooter and playing at the dog park, he is one tired puppy. Can't believe the change in him.

Fire is sure nice---glad ya'll have been keeping it going!!!
