Postby grammynmaggie » Fri Dec 14, 2012 1:36 pm

I just got back from an outing turned on the tv and seen
the awful news from a school in CT. I dont understand
why these things happen...I am beyond words...crying
my eyes out ....thats how I get when things like this happen
praying for all those little ones...and adults also...and all
the families...they need our prayers...

I just read the ABC account - so sad for those families and there's some things I would like to do to those gunmen!

I've been watching this on the news as well. What in the world do people think to kill all these young, innocent children? So very, very sad.

I can not imagine the horror and fear of those poor little children having to witness and go through this in their young lives and the adults who lost their lives trying to protect them. Prayers for everyone in that community, everyone in the school...adults and little ones alike and their families.

I'm praying for all the families. I have a hard time realizing someone would target 5-10 year olds. Unfathomable.

An update: The gunman, who was believed to be in his 20s, walked into a classroom where his mother was a teacher. He shot and killed her and then shot 18 students in the classroom. He also shot seven other adults, and then killed himself inside the school.

This just days after a young gunman opened fire in a mall here in Portland, OR.
Hearts breaking everywhere.

This is all so sad. I do not understand how something like this can happen either. Part of my family is from that part of CT. Such a peaceful place normally. I have been in shock since early this morning when CBS 2 in New York broke into regular programming and started broadcasting. Am praying for all the children and parents. I cannot imagine getting worse news than the death of your child. They were just babies. Nothing anyone could have done to the killer justified this. Children are supposed to be cherished and protected. This has been happening too many times in too many places.

I've been upset all day about this...My one and only grandchild, Ava, is a 5 yr. old kindergartener in PA.....My heart and prayers go to the parents & grandparents of those kids and to the families of the adults that were killed....

I can't imagine what those families are going through - so senseless!!

I get so irritated with the media in these situations. they jump to conclusions with absolutely no facts just so they have something to say on the air. Then they keep repeating and repeating and repeating the same statements over and over and over. They shove cameras in peoples faces hoping to get a show of grief and asking stupid questions like "how do you feel". By 10 pm last night one of the stations had a "special" already on the air. All they're looking for is ratings. they should be ashamed of themselves.

I've cried myself out of tears. I cannot even imagine the agony of those parents of the poor little murdered kids. Was there no indication of the condition of that man who did the shooting? How many signs were present to read? Did people just turn their heads if they saw or suspected anything? What's the most frightening is that someone so filled with such hatred could be walking among us un-noticed.
