Busy Friday, I hope !!!!

Good morning Ladies !! I've been up a couple of hrs, much to my dismay. Hopefully I'll have the energy to get through the day. Naps don't work for me, my mind or just me is to nosey to sleep any daylight away, I might miss something

Today will probably be a big day, we've had rain here or very cold misty weather and I am due a redo on my wax job, so sure hoping today will be suitable for
that. I am supposed to leave here Sunday after church and head on down further south Also, I have ordered a new mattress for my bed. The truck broke down delivering to business in Gainsville, so instead of delivery Wed., its Fri. and I'm still looking for it. What I need is everything to happen at once today

Sat. night is the golf cart parade etc. here in town and I am looking forward to it. My anniversary, so I shall celebrate the day. Sure hoping for good weather for it, has turned coldish here, with so much moisture in the air, it makes it feel so cold. And I came to Fl. for the warmth, at least no snow , so far

Other then waiting for others to finish up jobs, nothing much going, on in my day. Writing Christmas cards, did some baking yesterday, more to do Was a great day for that. Just enjoying our time here. Maggie, loves the walks and I'm getting where I can do a wee bit more each time, without my back kicking in and saying "hey, enough".

Morning all!

Since I woke up at my normal time this morning, am getting my quiet time. I am so excited that I will get to meet Marslet and her DH this afternoon. I love that I am going to get to meet another Sistah and spend time with her. They are coming here to the rig to meet up with us. Hope she is ready for the doggy welcomes. They all love new people too. Definitely going to take pictures. I have my camera all charged.

One more sleep until I head west. I have too much to do today to be at work, yet here I sit. I wish I could be in about 3 places at once.

Good Morning everyone,

Chilly up here in the U.P. too, but then that's to be expected for being way "up north". But the snow is going and more bare ground than snow here right now.

Carol, I know just what you mean about naps. Although they are supposed to be good for you, I can't do them either. My mind wasn't to be doing this and that or like you say, might miss somthing. However, if I get really sleepy, I might zonk off in the chair for a bit. Course about that time, the dogs wake up from their naps and bug me for something But it certainly sounds like you are in for a busy day if all falls into place.

Dawn, it's nice when you can wake up at your "usual" time and have some quiet time. I can have the quiet time, but the "usual" time can be anytime around here. Dog wants out in the wee hours of the morning, so out and back in to bed, then Sassy gets a "P" pill at around 6 a.m. and she knows it, so no sleep in for me. Once in a great while maybe. Sign

We had a nice ride over to a village called Baraga, about 30 miles from here. No snow at all over there. At the base of Keewenaw Bay. Was about 40 and felt more like spring than winter. Tomorrow we are supposed to have some freezing drizzle and then snow/rain, but could be all snow too. So today I am going to go to Ishpeming (Ish for short) and pick up a few things like milk, etc. from the store and then snuggle in and let the weather do what it wants. First item on agenda though is to take dogs for a short walk and put some Christmas cards in the mailbox too before the mail lady gets here.

so with that in mind, had bette get moving here. Hope you get your mattress Carol and also get that wax job done. Have a nice day all.

Well, it looks like I might be going to a college graduation tomorrow. One of my "kids" might not have a mother at the ceremony.

Really, I could shake that woman! I know she has reasons, but this is just hugely important to her kid. (Lots of backstory there.) She really could make an effort!

Well, at least I can fill in. Happy to, really. And this kid really is extraordinary. It's great to be able to support her a bit. Just poor timing.

Rain here for the 2nd day in a row. A lot colder, too. The back half acre was under water yesterday, it looks like most of it has drained down now, but I'm sure it's pretty muddy back there. I guess we've finally got winter here. I'm already ready for summer!

My sister and her hubby are supposed to be here this afternoon if they get to leave. She called last nite and said they were expecting snow and freezing temps. If they get that she'll have to stay home and keep a stove burning so the water pipes don't freeze...or the cat. They live completely off the grid, huge solar panel array and well. She has seperate solar panels for her 2 water pumps and the big one for the house electric. I say she 'cause she's the one that set it up and maintains it. Her hubby built the house but she did all of the electrical and plumbing. She's one smart cookie. She was a much better engineer than I was!

Better run, figured I would make a meatloaf and some potato salad in case anyone gets hungry. That will work for lunch or dinner. Hope everyone has a great day, I just want to see some sun!

I've been up a while. Was excited about going to Coquille to see the grands, when the news of the shooting in east. Children, WHY. Such a horrible thing. I thought I was having a hard time this holiday season. Can you imagine the parents and grandparents of these children. My prayers
