Quartzsite, AZ gtg January 19, 2013 (update)

it really is the only thing is my husband used to put signs out like three so they aren't there now
but two that he did the last two years is
the first one says NO WHERE and and arrow
the next one says MIDDLE OF NOWHERE pop 3 I think well that is wrong now
but as I recall that is the sum of it
I'm going to let Sharon do the exits Beth will you be coming on I10 from the East? if so I will go out and get it
you will go past where I am located if you come off I10 Westbound
once you get to the check in stand at BLM it's really easy we can either send someone out to guide you all in
or we can leave directions there just ask for them or we can put them one here or we can talk you in
lots of ways to do it
the way we have done it in the past which we can change a bit if we are going to be there most of the day
have finger food for the afternoon
then in the evening have
Navaho Taco's
which consists of
Scones (fried Bread)
chile
lettuce
cheese
onions
salsa or tomatoes
just the normal taco fixings
I usually bring the chile and do the scones
the rest we did with everyone bringing something
and then there was usually other stuff to go with it
like desserts salads but they are very filling and if we snack all day
we won't need a lot
we will need fire wood for a campfire
this will be fun and we will have more time to give it more thought

Is this the BLM land on Hwy 95 on the way to Yuma? East or West side of the road? We are going to Yuma next week and thought I'd check it out.

I'm a bit confused. How far is the gtg site from quartzsite?? I'm trying to make revs @ CG. I don't have a clue what I'm doing. Not sure about transportation to gtg site. Don't think DH will come to gtg, but don't know if he'll give up the truck for a day for me to take off.

Anita, east side, less than 1/4 mile from intersection of 95 and south frontage road in Q. There's a turn lane for it. There's also a brown sign for La Posa BLM, I think it's on the right, just before the turn.

Chris, Q is really spread out. The only cg near the La Posa BLM is Rice Ranch and Evie told me yesterday that they are only taking all season campers, but you might try it. Don't worry, we'll get you where you need to be. One way or another. It would be nice if you could get into Rice Ranch, close to us and all pull thrus. You might give them a call and see what they say.

I should have put the addresses with the names of the camp grounds but didn't...call these campgrounds not overly far
but not sure if they have hook ups or are dry camps

but really give the rv parks a call and see how far from the big tent they are
the town is only what only 5 mins freeway speed going from the east exit to the west exit
I've never looked but there might be a shuttle as well if there is the rv park would have that information
if I remember the rates right it's only 40 Dollars for a 14 day stay in long term much cheaper than in the parks
if I can help any let me know
I know that Kerry will help in transportation as well

Jenny is seeyagal. Evie is Pooker. Kerry might not have ever moved over here from the old, old forum but winters in Q and knows all those that come out there.

Kerry has issues with her hands can't type lots so rarely gets on hasn't forever
so doubt she even knows her password and it's been so long since I've seen her
sign in name but think that is it
she came to see me a few years ago for a week and stayed for a month
and then kept coming back this is like me her winter 'home'
