Morning all. Definitely slept in this morning. Did not get up until 6:30. Whole house decided to get up too so did not get my quiet time. I sure missed that.

I did finally get my blog updated last night.

I need to get to work since I slept in.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good Morning Carolb, Lori and everyone else,

Carol, I know just what you mean about losing track of days. I brought my calendar along with me so i could keep track of them  Got some busines I need to take care of a couple of times this month and need to watch the dates on the calendar. The yare all marked. But it's easy to lose track of time up here, as life is slower and things be remote as they are, you can forget the world exists. Does't even feel like the holidays cause I am away form all the hustle and bustle and have nothing going on for myself. Fine by me. So much more relaxing.

Lori, sounds like you and Ernie are enjoying being back in your old haunts. Going to feel funny camping at the park where you hosted so many years and not hosting. But I know you will enjoy it and be more free to do what you please.

Carolb, as for Ms. Tessa. I put her down to one pill to see what happens. She really should be up a higher does, but darn, when she's on that, she gets lethargic and doesn't eat etc., so it's a toss up between trying to fight the infection, her not eating and not wanting to do much, or just letting nature take it's course and her enjoying herself while we are up here. She's been so energetic and enjoying our walks, trotting up the road and many times just barking for the joy of barking I guess, while mom is busy sniffing out all the latest animal tracks from the night before. Mostly deer.

I'm thinking today, we might take a ride Northwest from here and see what's going on. If you look at a map of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, you will see that finger jutting up into Lake Superior at the far end of the peninsual. I'm about 35 miles from the base of the peninsula. Beautiful country there and i think more snow than what's here right now. We are losing some of it here due to the mild 30 degree weather that's here right now. Stayed mild last night. But storm heading in for weekend looks like a snow maker. Let it come. I plan to make sure I have enough food supplies so i don't have to go anyplace if I don't want and will work on Christmas signs and just watch it snow or whatever outside. Dogs and I will go for a walk too of course. We don't stop for bad weather unless it's really raining, storming, or snowing so hard you can barely see ahead. Then I worry about somebody not seeing us.

Ah, enough rattling on here. Certainly isn't RV related, but nice to be able to just ramble on about everyday life and read about the fun those of you who are camping, traveling, having mini GTG's etc., are having, and dream. So enjoy it, have a great time dong it, keep safe and healthy and have a wonderful day all.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

It's still overcast this morning, but a lot cooler than the past few days, and supposed to get sunny this afternoon. My job for this morning is to get out the ladder and clean out the rain gutters. Even though I covered them with screening last year, leaves and gook have gotten into them and are preventing them from properlly draining. I guess a once a year cleanout isn't hard to do.

The roof inspection yesterday showed that this roof is held on by a score of 1+ a bit on a scale where 1 is the worst and 3 is the best. So we shall see now what the insurance compnay will charge me for the place this coming year. I suspect it will not be a fun price.

I need to call Judy today and see how to find her at the Disney campground as I think it would be fun to try to find her there tomorrow and take a tour of the place! I also need directions on how to get there. Maybe I can also meet up with my son who works at Disney as a biologist for their fisheries/amphibian/lizard department while I am in the area as well.

Today will be some shopping for stocking presents after I do the gutter cleaning. By this afternoon, I hope the dogs and I can go for a walk along Shingle Creek. Other than that, perhaps a bit of guitar practice, and a gathering of some campfire songs for the GTG next month.

Hope you all have a fun day wherever you may be and whatever you may be doing!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Yes it is Thursday and the countdown is on ACK I need to stop procrastinating and do some shopping. It is sunny and warmer here today so maybe I can convince myself to venture out and face all the Christmas madness. I need a Bah Humbug shirt, Red does your DH have a source
I had dinner with an interesting friend yesterday, he is a blacksmith and had just completed making several balcony railings for a HUGE home. He had pictures of them installed and detailed close ups of the design. They were really intricate and very beautiful!
Time to get back to the chores of the day. I just asked my friend if she wanted to go to Paducah next week to the candy store, just in case she wanted to buy the makings for her Christmas candy. :) Yum

I can't tell you how many times I have to look at my IPhone or computer to tell what day of the week it is!

Finishing my last paper this morning, then will head out to look around Downtown Disney. It rained again last night and once this morning, so things are still muggy and wet. Hope it clears up tonight for the Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom. I am getting tired of getting soaked!

Talked to Sue this morning and am looking forward to her coming to my place tomorrow afternoon so she can join me for my golf cart tour of this campground. I will open up an interesting places post and post a bunch of photos afterwards.

Got some gifts to wrap so I can get them boxed up and sent out to my grandkids early next week. Got just a few things I need for their parents, and I will be done. This week at Disney World is my gift to myself this year! Also need to do some laundry today. I have so few pairs of "smaller" shorts that I ended up wearing a pair that were too big yesterday and had problems keeping them up! (Nothing like worrying about having your pants fall down in public.) Going to try another trip to Kohl's to see if I can get some smaller ones now that I am in Florida. Nothing in stores up north yet. Now I just have to make sure I don't regain this weight I lost.

Mitch, that was the best video on workamping (especially workamping at Amazon) that I've seen. They ended it perfectly - my favorite saying is if I don't like it my home is on wheels... they ended with a variation on that.

Thanks for sharing.

I'm off to clean a park model for some folks coming in Monday. This is a paying job ... not my cleaning them for the park ... yippee!
