Horizontal Bar at bottom of page

Postby cpatinjones » Sat Dec 08, 2012 1:20 pm

Hello,

Are you seeing a bar at the bottom of the page? It has a large T on the the left side of the horizontal bar, Related: Free Chat Line/Dating Service/Free local chat lines/ love and friendship, next to that a search box. I have noticed it has appeared for few days now. It shows up on this forum and ORS.

You've done something on your computer that is allowing that. It could be a virus or it could be that you accepted it somehow. You could try a system restore. But also do a virus scan.

My complete computer scan yielded no problems. My virus program had all the updates up-to-date. The only time the menu bar shows up is when I go to the ors or womenrv forums. Hopefully, I will figure it out.

"Related:Man And A Woman|Free Local Chat Lines|Local Chat Line|Phone Chat Line|Dating Service|Online ", this still shows up at the bottom of the screen. Baffled.

kinda sounds like you unknowingly downloaded a toolbar of sorts. Maybe if you go into your control panel and see what programs
got installed recently and uninstall it. Hate when unexplained stuff shows up on the computer.

Thank Ava for the tip to check added software...I did find something that I didn't think belonged. I removed it. It seems that was it. I have not seen the toolbar since I logged on to the forum. I hope I am not talking too soon. :D

Glad you found it and were able to get rid of it. I hate toolbars that show up like that.

Good job and smart Ava figured out what for you to look for. It would have been corrected if you had done a system restore to a date before it showed up ... sometimes it's hard to find how to remove the right thing ... so system restore can be our best friend sometimes. And there are so many ways we can accidentally add things - like how everyone wants to be our home page, etc etc.

Glad you got rid of this offender.
