Welcome from another Texan. I hail from just west of Fort Worth and started my full time RV life in August. I love it! I do have a Class A motorhome and tow a Jeep. My Mom travels with me, so a smaller rig was not an option to me. If it were just myself, I might have considered smaller, but I really doubt it. I love my rig. Like Beth said, we all have our opinions. JudyB's rig is beautiful and I understand that is the one you are looking at.

Keep us posted on your adventures and we love pictures.

Thanks again all....

Yes...I will probably try a few RV parks around home here. Thanks for the information regarding what is available near me. I'm learning a lot and enjoying reading some of your blogs.

Whale watching in Oregon in May. I can do that.

Could someone please tell me how to post a picture as an avatar? Thank you.

Hi there! There is a saying to buy your second RV first. For some of us a smaller RV is just right but sometimes people start off smaller when it isn't the right choice for them. If we were all the same then life would be boring. Good luck.

Welcome Jdy! 8-) (lost my "yew" key on my laptop, so bear with me) I jst fownd this site a few months ago, had the same ???s, so yore in the right place, as Catherine said!!! I got my first MH in the eighth month of this year, & don't know if it'll be my last. It's very small (17ft 2001 RoadTrek), bt enoff room for me & two poopers, now. Bt also I think it'll be enoff if I do go foll-time, since I hope to always be in places where the weather is nice enoff to be owtside!!! Bt that's me--a real owtdoors person. Also a minimalist, so even my home is very sparse. Did a lot of moving in my lifetime, realized early on that baggage is baggage! Who needs all that???? So yew might need to determine what life "style" yew want to live when yew go foll-time--all the comforts of home, or all the challenges of minimalism???? (minimalist that I am, I'm learning to live with only 25 letters in the alphabet!!! ) Good wishes on finding yore first rig!!!! So exciting!!!!!

Welcome Judy, Good times ahead! I decided not to get a mh, instead have a bumper pull. I was seriously looking at the 29 to 31' mhs. This forum is certainly an excellent source on helping you choose just about anything. My daughter lives in the NW and I hope to venture that way in summer of 13.

Head over to the maintenance/tech room - viewforum.php?f=7

The top two posts are sticky posts on putting on pictures (one uses Photobucket, one Picassa) And there are others out there. But check those out and post there if you need help.

Welcome, Judy! I hail from Spokane, Washington, about 4 hours from the NE corner of Oregon by motorhome. :) I love my 28'9" Class C, but if I were fulltime, I might want a little more underneath storage. That varies by size as well as model. I love how much interior storage I have, but it's hard to find places for the the larger bulky items. 'Course if I had more "big stuff" storage, I'd be at greater risk of overloading the rig and damaging the tires, so it's a trade-off.

You're at such a FUN place in your journey to getting on the road. Thanks for letting us travel it with you.
