Many with Hughes net have been getting rid of it. Satellite internet will often be slower than your card. And unless they've drastically changed packages, you'll be paying at least the same. Let us know what you find out.

You should have received a manual with your satellite dish that tells you how to change it from Direct to Dish. I have 2 and they both have instructions for that. It looks like you should be able to take your home receiver with you on trips. I have Direct and that's what I do.

I don't have any personal experience with Hughes Net but I have read where some have gotten rid of it for something easier. I don't remember what JudyJB ended up with for internet but it wasn't Hughes Net.
