Holiday Parades

Postby BirdbyBird » Sat Dec 08, 2012 6:04 pm

It only took me a week to get these on the blog. Stuart was of no help. Some folks follow birds with their cameras. I like horses.

I am hoping these videos play. I uploaded them to Photobucket. The camera woman did not hold the camera still, but if you close your eyes you will hear all the important things that the videos were to capture.....

I'm not much on parades but I would go to that one. Horses are smart and they know when and who they can take advantage of. My DH use to tell me not to train on the road. Usually he was talking about the kids.

One of the towns near here has a Christmas boat parade. There is a big canal running through town. There are all size boats decorated from shrimp boats on down.

I love holiday parades. Since I've had Sally ( 66 mustang convertible ) I've driven some high school queen or city official :P it's fun unless she overheats from going so slow for so long

I have never hear of a carriage parade - What fun! Thanks, Tina!

Tree lightings, parades, shopping mall decorations, decorated neighborhoods - things I miss at this time of year.

That was fun....love the old fire carriage. And Martha I remember going to the lighted boat parade at the LA gtg.... as well as my first ever gumbo cook-off. :D
Thanks for sharing those videos, Tina. Almost as good as being there. Warmer too.

Love the videos and great blog post too! The first time I
attended the Holiday parade here in Austin I was shocked to
see only a couple horses. I thought that was what parades
were for!

Diana, I have heard that some parades are banning horses. Guess they don't want to clean up after them.

What a nice way to spend the afternoon with the Stuart dog. We have 2 parades here on the same day. A Christmas parade and a Holiday parade. Keeps everyone happy this way. You do have to choose which to attend, as they are at the same time. Linda
