Come on in and say hello.

New to RV'ing

Postby rl1962 » Sun Dec 02, 2012 6:31 pm

My husband and I have just bought our first RV! We have been looking and dreaming for over a year. We pick it up Friday and I am so excited. My husband is retired and stays home with his mom who is in Stage 6 Alzheimers. We are hoping to get to escape on some one day overnight trips for now to learn. Her 93 year old sister keeps her sometimes to give us some time. I appreciate any advice and help given and plan to read every forum to learn.

Welcome to the forum. Being able to step away from the stress of care giving for an RV break may help keep you both healthier. You didn't say but it sounds as if you may stil be working. Plan, practice and keep dreaming. We look forward to getting to know you and as you wander through the threads you will gather that pictures, more pictures and stories keep us on the edge of our seats.

How exciting - getting your dream rv. And I hope you get some time to use it. It's important to take those days - caring for others is full of stress.

What would you like us to call you? And if you don't mind sharing, what part of the country are you in? And anything else you might want to share. :D

Welcome! Being able to get away in the RV will be great for you. Being a caregiver is very hard work and you will need your small breaks. This is a great and supportive group of ladies. We are looking forward to hearing about your trips and we do love pictures.
