Monday, Gosh I'm happy I made it ....Didn't think I was gonna be able to log on..had the dang virus program updating and scanning.. and it was like I was in reverse..Well, is that how my weeks gonna be...Nah! Ya see I brought along a few friends..Yeah..you know them Bluebirds..they brought their friends too...they sure is busy LOL...So that means we're is for a smooth ride..and already starting off great..

Echo posted a good topic.. Best and Worst State for Taxes... Now, here in Florida I find property taxes lower...than where I live in Pa...Ouch..but then Florida is like one of the top retirement states...and what about where you live ..????

Ok.. I'm running just a tab behind..too many late nights and I'm usually in bed by 10pm..uh oh ain't that the Ole Peoples Clock..uh huh..but that's ok..cause boy it sure feels good when I is snuggled in..and dreaming of me heading down that Highway..

Table is set, and yeah..I have a Strudel in the oven..apple ..and boy it's smelling great..Coffee pot is perking (hear that sound) Tea Kettle is whistling..aaaaaah and got some colas ready too (My DH's favorite drink) So grab a chair and a mug..and let's hear how things are in your neck of the woods..

Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!

Barbz, thank goodness your on the job this morning! Your the recap queen. Heavens to Betsy this place has been busy this past weekend!! Some good ideas and subjects were posted and everyone kinda ran away with them. It was something to try and keep up with all of it. And then them left coasters and the night owls got in there and got busy flapping them fingers too. Whew!!!

YAWWWWN! I do not want to be awake, up and thinking about work. Blech!! Just got back in the door from taking the dogs out and now it's raining pretty good out there. So glad it didn't start pouring like that while I was out there leaning on the railing half asleep! Sure would have gotten my tail feathers wet. Next time I'll have to either scrunch up under the eaves or take the umbrella out with me.

Yep for the most part I got what I wanted to get done, done. The only thing that didn't get done was the tree didn't get taken down. David went out the door to work Saturday about noon and worked a double shift at Olive Garden and Jenny went out the door about 1/2hr after he did. Didn't see her till amost midnight and I was in bed when David got home. They was squabbling before he went to work? So I kinda figured she would disappear for the day. Yesterday they both went to the house they are gonna be moving into when the lease runs out here. The house belongs to a relative or to someones Granny and they are cleaning it out and up. Gonna be super cheep rent for them but they have their work cut out for them to get it ready. But anyway the tree still stands, David said they would try to get it taken care of today.

Back to the grind for us today. And I am thinking all the extra overtime soon too. I really have got to get some super vitamins!!! That place is gonna wear me out.

Ok, need to check my mail, get my comic fix and fill up the dogs water jug!!! Honey just licked that sucker dry as a bone!!! LOL

piece or two, yep, two, you heard right, I got on the scale the other day and it
spoke to me lovingly, hehe, down 10 lbs, how cool is that.

Good-morning !! Wow LIz, that is an ambitious sounding day. What I hear on my roof is not a sunny day for such a job here. In fact we are going to have rain until a possible snow Thursday. So its inside work for me, still sorting and throwing, which is my thing each New Year. Somehow the first of every year, I can't tell I ever got rid of anything, all closets drawers etc. still are full. My poor ole r.v. probably won't get its wash and waxing until spring or so. We haven't seen the sun much up here and when we do, its to cold to be in water, or it is for me

Thinking about everyone that has to return to work today. Hope all are rested up enough to get back into it. Sure miss some of you in here this morning. I'd just gotten used to certain ones being here every morning.

Well, Maggie, is telling me its time to go out, when we hit the door and she sees that wet stuff , she will try to change her mind, so I'll have to boot her out

Good morning! We are waking up to some partly sunny skies after rain & t-storms yesterday. A few of the naked pups & I are at the beach again. We came down right before Xmas to stay for a month. Wanted to make it to the FL panhandle but maybe next trip.

Sorry I've been MIA for a while. Going thru some major changes lately, & it ain't over yet! Hopefully one of the changes will be getting a rig I can take by myself. I really enjoyed the to "B" or not to "B" post. If I can get my finances straightened out, I'm thinking of taking a cross country trip in my next RV. Have no clue how to do that, but I'm sure I can get help from you ladies.

Spent my rainy Sunday catching up on posts. Glad to see everyone is doing well. Time for that second cuppa java!

Back at work today. Bah Humbug! Got the tree down and put away yesterday and laundry done, but that's about it. I still have "stuff" around the house, but it'll stay up for a while yet.

Oldest son and his wife and her little boy are coming this Saturday for a week. This is GD's dad, so she is excited to see him. It's been a year.

Zeee I just don't know when you sleep. You were talking to me at 11 last night - midnight your time - and I was saying I needed to find my bed LOL, but I was sound asleep when you were up doing your morning post. I need my sleep - as much as I can get lol- hope you get a nap or two in today!

That apple streudel sure tastes good. Having it with a cup of hot chocolate right now. Is downright chilly here today - but was beautiful yesterday and is supposed to be beautiful again tomorrow. Will take a chilly day today Specially since I'm working. Need it really nice on Thursday and Friday - we'll be sightseeing again Thursday and to Mexico again on Friday

OK, just on morning break - so want to read other posts before I head back to work.

Ooops - yep - you betcha we'll help you when you get ready for your cross country trip. Or you can do like me who had never rv'd before in my life. Buy a rig, quit my job, head out across counrty - and haven't stopped

Good morning everyone - the sun is just peaking over the hills and reflecting on the Gulf. But I'm too lazy to walk over and take a picture.
Things are really looking up today. Both of us had a good nights sleep and he is feeling so much better. Will still have to take it easy today though - sure don't want it to come back.
Our neighbors are leaving today, I told you he is 90. Well his son came down from Tucson to drive the truck and trailer back, thinks his dad is too old. The son is at least 75. More power to them.
We are debating on wether we will continue south or return to the southern US. Kind of scary to be sick with no phone. But where we are going next, if we go, there is phone service. He's all for going on, I'm the one hesitating.

It's cold AND rainy in Austin. I am getting really spoiled by those days in the 70s, but oh, does the countryside ever need some rain. Sorry to say this doesn't look like much. Have my AAA guidebook out and am thinking about checking out a museum or two. Or maybe I will do a sewing project, that
is AFTER responding to all the fantastic posts to me "B" question. I have a new found respect for Barbz daily recap!

yepper Zeee,...I need a thermos,... and I GOT one! used to buy coffee in school kitchen where it's available for faculty and staff,...but the price went up. So, I'm bringing my own and it was a good decision.

it's now after 10 a.m. and I'm just getting signed in,.. i'm here in highschool computer lab with a full house of mostly seniors and sophmores. I do love highschool age kids,... the little ones make me nuts1

so i'll get back to work, but not before i grab a little apple strudel .... oh my is that YUMMY!

Good morning ladies!
Schools are all at least 2 hrs late this morning and some in the Portland area are closed. We got a bit of snow last night but the worse is the ice in the cold morning hours.
Once that starts to melt I plan on spoiling myself at the mall. As much as I hate shopping for clothes, it's time I did something. With my weight loss I want to look better dressed to show off my new look. I won't buy many clothes because I have another 15# to go. I'm down 10 now. I have been watching What Not to Wear go get an idea of what colors/style/cut would more flatter my body. We'll see if I have the patience to do that! lol
I bought a Wii yesterday, too! My shoulder is sore from playing tennis, bowling, baseball and golf! I really want the Wii Fit Board so I can do downhill skiing etc. That way I can get my exercise in and have fun without the chance of breaking any bones. Or so I hope!
I did get my spare bedroom cleaned out as my girlfriend is coming from CA next week. I, too, went through my clothes and gave away a huge box. Right now all my clothes hardly fill half my closet. Amazing how I hung onto some of those pieces. What was I thinking!?!

I'm here today....
Yesterday was a fishing day and we did just that...fished from 9am to 2pm...then found a neat little place for a late lunch....they were having a chili cook-off, so that's what we had then sat there watching the football game and chatting with the local folks....lots of fun...and the guys got to have their beer....

Yeap, got a new counted cross-stitch going....it's a gift for my DIL for Mother's Day....if it is done by then so that keeps me busy on this yukie day of cool temps and sprinkles of rain.....We got to find a "hobby" for Ernie to do on "in the camper" days.... He can't get out to walk and is like a caged animal in here....Sent him to find out about crabbing locally and to the outdoor sports store to pick up hooks, etc....that will keep him busy for a little while....

Okay, am off to read what everyone has been up to......Love the Bluebirds, Barb, and will take some of the goodies to go with my coffee....
