Then, off to FL & my big trip west. Wow, all the mini-GTG's, as so many are on the move!! :P I too am hoping to meet lots of yew on road, as well as at the FL GTG! Soos, stay close now; yew know we're all praying & will help yew get threwgh the long wait & "sergery!" Something abot the "recipe" at the FL GTG that has to do with yew? Something we can't do withowt??? I read that somewhere-- maybe on General Talk?? Anyway, with all the "sistahs" praying for yew, it won't make a difference if yew forgot to say rabbits! :P Ava, love the new pic of yew! & hope yew had a good day with the grandson... Hope all poopers (read: "dogs") are getting their diets straightened owt & doing well. North Mich folks, stay warm!!! ..To be in the 40's here today & 60 by Wed--crazy weather! Y'all have a great day, be safe, enjoy yore loved ones always!

Good morning Carolb & everyone!

Carolb, you keep such a good update on everyone's comings and goings.

It's another chilly and foggy day on the eastern shore of MD. Yesterday's fog never lifted until almost noontime, keeping it quite cool here until the sun broke through later in the afternoon. I'll be leaving for church in a bit, so I hope all of you are well. Take care & have a wonderful day!

Good morning, Carolb & all others.
It's unseasonably warm here in KC - upper 60's today, possibly 70 tomorrow. We'll take it as we know it will change in the blink of an eye. Will probably continue to clean house today & maybe, maybe get Christmas wreath out.
Love seeing the GTG's - makes me realize this is the life my full-timing aunt had - traveling around, meeting up with her RV family around the country as the seasons changed. :D I've always wanted to be just like her when I grow up - very small footprint on this world, but a vibrant & engaged life to the end. :) Continuing to work the numbers to see when I can cut loose from the work-a-day world. Very inspired by those of you who are doing it NOW. After all NOW is all we have. ;)
Soos, you are surrounded by prayers - your job is to stay cool & keep yourself busy for the next 19 days. 8-)
Sue (colliemom), glad to see that you went 7000 miles in a month - tells me that 5000 in 3 weeks is probably doable next summer. :D
Wishing everyone safe travels, healthy fur kids & lots of GTG's! :D :D

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Sunny and warmer in the sunshine state today----sure wish I could go swimming or at least in the Jacuzzi, but that won't be happening for a while now.

Today I head for Walmart to get Christmas lights for the outside of the house and a few grcoeries. Also need some containers to freeze portions of turkey soup for the days to come.

Had a horrible and vivid dream about my hot water pipes leaking after I spilled a bowl of turkey soup off my bed and onto the floor in the dream. All of a sudden, tons of water was spreading out on the carpet, water was dripping out of the ceiling, and the attic space was filled with water. I ran around the house trying to find the main water shutoff, remembered one in the yard, opened up the heavy slab covering it, and couldn't find the faucet to turn. Neighbors came, some smoking heavy-duty ciggies making me cough, and tried to help. One guy said he knew of a plumber who would come on a weekend, but the guy wasn't home. Finally I woke up, exhausted and relieved to find a dry house! Poor Molly on my bed was happy to see me open my eyes----I was probably crying out in the dream!

Hope you all have a good Sunday wherever you may be.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good morning Everyone. This morning is warmish and humid out. Low 60, high 83!! I really don't understand this weather yo-yo. Nature just can't decide what to do. Please make up your mind.

I love all the gtg and makes me want to hit the road just to meet up with all these wonderful people. My aunt and uncle were full timers in a MH for 13 yrs. then settled in St.Augustine. Uncle passed away, now aunt lives at a senior resort on Anastasia Island in St. Augustine. She enjoyed the RV life style so much, she said she would have continued by herself, but the kids said NO!

Not much here. Been a bit under the weather with a bladder infection. Going on for weeks now. Went to Dr yet again and they are doing a culture to find out what is the best antibiotic to finally kill this thing. I feel your pain, Tessa
I would like to try and go see Ahmal and the Night visitors with Maggie tonight. Have to see how things go.

We did not bring our Montana home yesterday. DH said he wanted to do it during the middle of the week when all the neighbors (all 3 of them) would be at work...less traffic  The only way he was able to get her backed into our driveway is with the help of said neighbors. Every time he tries and it doesn't work he gets pissed and speeds off around the block and gets increasingly frustrated :x and since I've never backed anything, I'm of no help!! Testosterone can be such a problem at times. I really don't understand what the big problem about having neighbors help. We'll see how it goes on Tuesday.

Everyone have a great day and be safe. Aloha y'all

Good Morning to All - it is still early morning here in Mazatlan. And cool thank goodness. It has bee in the mid to high 80s and muggy since we've been here. Bill loves it - I just want to sit in the AC and do nothing. I'm ready for things to cool down a little.
Yesterday we went to the Pizza Cantina Sports Bar in the Marina to watch a soccer game. Had pizza - good way to spend a hot afternoon.
We still have some goodies from the Malpica bakery - enjoy
Maybe today we'll go over and see if the divers are performing. Without all the touristss coming they don't do it so much anymore.
Tomorrow morning we take the Jeep in to the dealership to have the transmission checked. Hope it's not too serious and they don't have to keep it a long time..
Safe traveling and good weather everyone.

Sunday, Sunday, so good to me...
Or was that Monday? These days they're all good.

Yesterday I had a fun day at the Cane Day at Dudley Farm. Forgot my camera, though, so you won't be bored with another blog post, haha. Bought some fresh cane syrup. Well, you have to know that I was raised in Vermont on pure maple syrup. So cane syrup was a novelty for me. I tried it on some waffles for breakfast, and as Soos might say, ack! No one told me cane syrup tastes like molasses! I'll find some use for it in cooking, but never again on my pancakes or waffles?

Today after church I'm going to meet Nan at the historic Haile Homestead in Gainesville. It is an old plantation house which will be all decorated for Christmas festivities. I'll bring my camera along. I have heard the walls do talk in that place.

Hope everyone has a fun day with no worries.
(Glad you didn't wet the bed, Soos,  )
(Red, sounds like time for you to learn to back that thing.)

good morning ladies
ahhhhh Soos, I understand fair well about waking up from a dream and relieved it was just a dream. I too woke up this morning from a dream, a horrible
dream. Guess I shouldn't have said anything about not caring if Jimmy cracked corn cause I dreamt I was "seniornapped" (kidnapped, only older) and
made to be a slave but all I could think about was getting on the computer and posting my status for someone to call 911 but that I didn't know where
I was and trying to instruct daughter what to do with my dogs, my car, and telling everyone how I loved them. Trying to convince the guy to let me go
cause I was an old lady and not in good health. ( I lied, my health is fine) Was glad to wake up and find it was just a dream.
Ok, so, what to do for today......thinking, thinking, ahhh, I got nothing. ;) :P  I guess thats what it will be, doing nothing. But I do know what
sounds good for breakfast...chorizo and eggs wrapped in a warm tortilla. I could eat two, they are small. :P
Ya'll have a great day and I'll check in several times today as I surf the internet and further my education. oh, and ya'll be safe too.

Good Morning…time for my monthly post! We’re experiencing beautiful weather…67 yesterday! Even put up the nativity scene outside! But no moisture, we’d gladly take some of the rain that is drenching the west coast. Much as I hate the stuff…I’d even take it in the form of snow.

There’s a fresh pot of coffee and Irish creamer on the counter. Help yourself. Nothing to eat with it. Although I do have beans soaking and ham hocks simmering in the crock pot for bean soup later. The bread machine is mixing up a batch of dough for hamburger buns, but I can’t share those with you because their going into the freezer for the Christmas party for my workers. Hopefully I’ll get 3 dozen made today and I’ll be half done with those. Decided to make pulled pork sandwiches and potato salad this year along with a can of soda and a bag of peanuts and some candy. We have a friend who sells for a restaurant supply and he sold me a 40# box of boneless pork loins for $50. Can’t beat that! And of course DH aka SPUD always has plenty of potatoes for me. Shop managers are allowed to give the inmates one appreciation party a year in December…although I have been known to bring in brownies or cookies on occasions if they have put out a lot of effort to get a rush order finished or have had to work a lot of night shifts. Actually their favorite thing ever was cherry tomatoes…several years ago I had six plants that were extremely prolific and would bring in an ice cream pail full about twice a week. They would inhale them because they seldom get fresh fruits and vegetables.

Since I seldom post because I lead an extremely boring life! Welcome to all the new members, Happy Belated Birthday to everyone, hugs and prayers for those of you who are experiencing difficulties. Love the pictures of the GTGs..there sure have been a lot of them lately! Congratulations on new rigs!
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Good morning from the 45th,

Boy, sure was foggy when I woke up this morning. Wasn't too bad here by me, but after I got dressed to head for church on got out on the heading north it got really thick. :| Could hardly see 50 ft. in front of me, so found a spot to turn around and came back home. Not worth driving in that kind of stuff. Warm air has moved in and with teh melting snow, it just made more fog. It's lessened up a lot now, so will probably venture out later as I need bread and milk and with all the appt. I have tomorrow and other errands to run, it would be one less chore.

Soos and Ava, sorry to hear you two are having such vivid dreams. I"ve been having some crazy ones too, but not to that degree. Must be something in the earth's energy field that's making us have these crazy dreams. I know there are others of you who have had some too. And all the different varities of weather are another matter too. It remains to be seen what happens on Dec. 21st as that's when the Mayan caldendar ends. I heard that our solar system is supposed to be passing through the center of the galaxy and that's never happened in anbyodys' lifetime before. Will be interesting to see what happens if anything on that day. Will give the media something to do pretty soon as the date gets closer  I'm finding it all very interesting.

Very quiet around here this morning. Sassy is sleeping and Tessa is outside for awhile enjoying a balmy morning. I will probably take them over to the park this afternoon for a nice walk now that the ground is bare for the most part. Few patches of snow here and there. She was having some problems last night with being very antsy. May be the new food is not agreeing with her tummy that well. Needs to get used to it. Sassy cleaned up just a little of it last night and she too was very antsy for some reason as well. So i had an up and down night with them. We wanna go out, we want in

HavingFunNow, thanks for the offer of the free sample idea, but my vet hasn't said anything about any other food, just that there are no distributors around here for other than Science Diet. I mentioned to the office gals that maybe I could find some other kind someplace else and they said it has to be prescribed through a vet, it was not something I can do myself.

All this talk about GTG's and trips etc. has got me wanting to find a rig and hit the road again. But first got to get the finances under control. It will come, I just need to be patient. With dog issues and all, it's better to be home right now anyway. I'll be glad when Thursday gets here so we can see how things are going after being of the meds for a week. She's turning into a little brat  so i know she's feeling better. But also know that the underlying problem is still there too :|

Time to move along here. Need to make some "orange" snow for my sign. Snowman's nose needs to be carrot orange or some color close to it. Will post pic when I am finished with it. Have a great day all.

I arrived yesterday afternoon to Anastasia SP near St. Augustine. I slept well all night listening to the sounds of the surf in the distance--really neat!!! So I have officially arrived in Florida until early April. Will be traveling around to a new place about every week. Next week is Disney for a week, so I am really excited, especially since it is the time of year when decorations are up.

I did some Christmas shopping on the way at a Carter's store--loaded up on things for my grandkids, but not quite done with them, as I think I need to return a couple of things. I also did a huge load of grocery shopping and have enough groceries and goodies for at least a week. I took a quick walk to the beach here last night before it got dark, then managed to put everything away. Well, almost.

Had an excellent night's sleep--10 hours worth! Driving really makes me tired these days. I could hear the surf from my bedroom window which I had inadvertantly left open. Sounded so good! Today I will grade a couple of student papers and then go for a long walk or bike ride. Might need to put some air in my tires, but I carry an air compressor, so can do that. I plan on using my bike a lot here, even to ride into St. Augustine in a day or two.

Anyway, looking forward to my winter in Florida. Anyone else around here? Or near Myakka, where I will be just before the holidays?

Good Morning,

Such interesting reading on here each morning!

Judy, if you haven't done DWorld during holiday time before (or even if you have), you will love it! I'm planning that for next December as well as Sea World after reading Soos' posts about that last year. Plus you are in one of my favorite areas now!

Red, I get where your hubby is coming from about the neighbors - been there and probably worse for the male ego. I had been on the road over a year when a campground owner helped me back into my site - I then realized I was turning the wheel too far!

That brings to mind something that happened recently and I wonder how many of you ladies get comments like, 'You drive that yourself?' Most recently a man asked me if I drove the truck camper by myself!! I told him yes, and I have a 5th wheel over in storage. At one park one of the residents was at the office when I pulled in and asked if my husband was in the 5er sleeping. Then when washing and waxing, 'how does your husband get you to do that?' At the same time, there are many who are 'impressed' and supportive. After hearing so many negatives, my smart mouth is about to take over I fear - next guy is probably going to be asked if I need a certain body part to be competent :D

Took a little doing, but I got the new Winegard portable satellite set up yesterday. I won't get rid of the old dish until I leave here in March, but I will try out the portable when we go to Yuma a couple times.

Finished copying one CD carrier full of CDs onto my iPod yesterday so will put that project on hold. Don't know why I didn't do that long ago so I wasn't carrying all these CDs around!

Today is a few Christmas decorations and doing the Christmas cards. Not many cards, but close family ones I did last year with Hallmark Studio software and, tho time consuming, was fun to personalize.

Everyone have a wonderful day.

Good morning everyone.

Soos, I took a nap yesterday afternoon and had a horrible dream too. Don't want to get into it because it makes me cry and I did enough of that yesterday. I posted on FB yesterday after I got up as it was so vivid on my mind. I don't normally remember my dreams, so this was really unusual for me. Yesterday and last night must have been something really going on for so many bad dreams.

I am really interested in the Mayan prophecy too. Have been watching shows about all the different prophecies about this in a lot of different cultures. I have always been fascinated by Nostradamus too and watched a special about his prophecies about this yesterday also. Poor Mom was bored to death. With the storms on the east and west coasts here recently, the escalation of fighting in the Middle East and everything else happening in the world recently, it makes me think. I don't think we will see the end of the world on the 21st, but I do think if we don't start making some changes, with Global Warming, the world as we know it may be really different in our life times. The escalation of the glacier ice melting is really scary to me.

I have a lot to do today. I need to take the dump buddy and dump both my tanks. Can't take my shower today until I get that done. Then I have a bunch of pictures I want to get hung up in my bedroom. I bought quite a bit of industrial strength Velcro to get this done. I also want to go check on the Geocache today. I think I will take Rascal with me. Since it's a half a mile from me, that is a little far for Luke to walk. I have some things I want to get done before we leave on Thursday. Need to take a trip to Camping World before we leave here for more light bulbs to keep on hand, get tire covers and Extend-a-Stay. Will probably do that tomorrow unless Paul wants to go today.

Been looking at our route toward MS. Since I haven't driven much on Interstates so far, I am looking at making our first stop just past Longview. We will probably stay there for about 5 days and then next stop will be in Monroe, LA.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Anita, I will share a story that I heard several years ago at a Gypsy Journal Rally up in Ohio. At a session for women RV'ers the topic of the public's reaction to observing women traveling alone came up. One older gray haired woman (70s something?) stood up and told the story of a conversation that occurred when she drove her large Class A up to a dump station and proceeded to dump her tanks and fill her unit with fresh water. A man waaiting behind her in line with his unit, observed her activity smiled and commended that he wished he could get his wife to do that....with out missing a beat she stated that her response was straight faced and consisted of a direct statement of.... "First, you have to die." She was a widow traveling by herself......

But then I think Nan has come up with a few answers of her own, some of which she had shared with certain Border Guard as she passed back into Idaho this summer.....
