And having a huge fight over $0.25 worth of instant mashed potatoes in Glacier National Park and now to be able to laugh about it.

Yep. Although most of the time when we didn't talk, we weren't fighting - we were simply needing our own space. We would often stop for the night and not see each other till morning, for example. We didn't live in each other's pockets. We said we could get married for that.

I love that "The Ceremonial Tossing of the Taters" - great name/great tradition.

I'm with BJ, I checked in tonight to see if the rest of the Tator story was out, :( So disappointed !!! You can't leave a bunch of women like this, and not tell the "REst of the Story" !!! (Actually men are worse , about having to know all). But this borders on the almost (mean) teasing situation

It was just a huge argument is all. Luckily, we were in Belly River Campground in Waterton (I knew it was so near Glacier, but I couldn't think of Belly River yesterday) which meant we had a LONG way to drive home together and secondly, no one heard us yelling. Well, except our other friend who was with us.

Just a silly fight, as people oftentimes have. But we still love each other...whew...

I've never heard of this Tradition , either !!! Or maybe my problem is I have never been included. If you throw tators at each other, I'm ok on being left out    Sure would love to know the story though,

Tried to submit and here is Mitch's story, ok, was it you who had the tator fight, Mitch ?

We didn't throw potatoes at each other. We had a fight about potatoes...instant mashed potatoes...my calculations netted the loss at around $0.25. Oh, and those calculations were after we had both calmed down and I dug the empty package out of the trash to check the price. And that meant I had to dig through tossed potatoes.

That story reminds me of band aiding a window. It saved a friendship.
