camping near Sarasota, FL?

Hi all!
I have a pipe dream of surprising my guys with a trip to Sarasota to see a few Spring Training games in Feb/Mar. Anyone have any c/g recommendations nearby? Even a place to boondock or dry camp for two days would work (the few campgrounds I found in the vicinity on Reserve America were mostly full). We are not set up to tow yet so we will be driving the MH into Sarasota for the games - maybe we can "tailgate" in the parking lot!!
Although, I found out yesterday that a class I plan to take in order to begin my dream of being self-employed runs every Wed in March. Drat! Would make for a short trip since we are 18 hours from Sarasota.

Just saw this post. There are a few campgrounds in Sarasota. Sarasota Lakes RV near Sarasota Airport. Sun n Fun which is about one mile east of Sarasota. Oscar Scherer State Park in Nokomis, just south of Sarasota. Further away is Myakka State Park. I am currently in Sarasota at the Lakes RV.
