Wow! Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I knew I was loved but this was amazing.

I had a great birthday. Hubby and I went to the Dixie Stampede for dinner and the Christmas show ~ it was a lot of fun. Can't believe I am the big 55!!! I am sure I am really only 50

I had a pretty rough end of October and most of November...our youngest son tried to commit suicide on 10/30. Fortunately his wife was concerned when he didn't answer the phone and went home and found him hallucinating and called 911. I flew to Portland on 11/2 and returned to Branson on 11/30. Per our daughter-in-love's request to not share that news we did not say anything to but a couple of people. Ron ran the campground and I did stuff via the internet. The first couple of weeks were pretty hard but when I left things were much better, I met Brandon's therapist and feel they are a good match. I enjoyed my time in Portland and also got to do a quick 2 night trip up to Blaine to see our other son and his family. Took advantage of having all four grands together and got some pictures. So fun to watch the 3 younger ones play and get to know each other. And Max, the 14 year old was such a big help.

I flew back to Branson on 11/30 and hit the ground running with work and celebrating my birthday, decorating for Christmas and celebrating 37 years of marriage to my best friend, buddy and lover

We found out on Friday, 12/28 that we are staying here in Branson for the next year. The campground is staying open all year. And we will continue with our full time jobs We didn't realize how heavy the not knowing weighed on us until the next day when we shared with each other the relief we felt...funny neither of us had said anything to the other about being concerned.

Because I missed a whole month of work things have been very hard financially but God is good and we were blessed with an unexpected gift of groceries. We really have nothing to complain about.

And we ended the year with two new additions - first off, Alexander Victor Aren Workentin arrived on 12/27/12 at 10:43 p.m. weighing in at 9 lbs 11 oz, 21" long with a head of dark blond/reddish hair (looked very much like his daddy did 32 years ago when he was born). Mommy, Danalyn and Daddy, Brandon and three brothers, Max, Christopher & Treyson, are all loving on him. It is such a blessing to see Brandon enjoying life and his children and seeing him improving emotionally (he is not talking flat anymore).

And then on 12/29/12 we got a new baby (fur type). Linus is 8 weeks old, pug/beagle mixed and has already worked his way into Ron's heart...they sit in the recliner and nap together. I knew Ron missed Charlie Brown but didn't realize how much.

So in a nut shell that's what and where we are up to. Again, thanks for all the birthday wishes.

Sorry I missed your bday earlier, Ali. Sounds like you've had a go of it lately. New babies, new pup, renewed job amid other family worries. Glad you know Who's in charge & can handle it all for you.

Since you're in Branson, that's not to far from KC - maybe we can have a little GTG some weekend when the weather is clear. I'd love to meet you

Ali, I'm so sorry about your problems ... but so glad that your son is getting help and you are happy with the therapist. I will keep him and all of you in my thoughts that the progress continues.

And I'm so happy that you've been offered another year there in Branson. It sounds like you've settled in and are enjoying it there. And the shows are a definite perk! A couple more months and the weather will turn warmer ... meantime, just hang on to each other for warmth

Hugs to you, Alli-----your family has had quite a time in 2012. Will hope that 2013 is a turning point for you all. Stress and worry like you've been through is exhausting, so take it easy and rest your mind and body for a bit.
