Good morning Carolb and all coming to check in for the day. Woohoo on the new mattress! That was one of the very first things I got for myself in Sunshine. Makes a huge difference.

Lori, give Red a hug for me when you get there.

We now have our East Coast feed on our DirecTV. Was watching the news on Channel 2 NYC last night. Brought back so many memories from growing up. We lived in CT and my Grandma always watched Channel 2 for the news until we started getting stations out of Hartford. Still have DFW local feed right now too. Won't be long now and we will be way too far east for DFW channels. Have been working some long days getting my website active again. Was pleasantly surprised to log onto my advertiser accounts and found I had still been earning small amounts of commission while I have taken these last 6 months off. I had let my readers know why I was taking time off and did not lose very many likes on my FB page for my website. I was gratified by that.

We have been all alone in the cove we are camped in since last Sunday. According to park host, we are supposed to get a neighbor today. They are only staying one night, though. Mom is a little uneasy about us being alone down here, but it hasn't bothered me at all. The Park Ranger drives by regularly all night long to check on us.

Time to get another cup of coffee and watch the weather. Everyone have a great day and if you are traveling (Lori and Ernie) stay safe.

Good Morning Carolb and everyone else,

Boy, does it feel good to have this site back up and running. Missed you all. You are all like one big family to me. Thought for awhile it was my computer. Tried to make a post in the morning and poof, no go. Checked on the site later in the evening and it was still down then too. This place is my go to for morning laughs, chats and what not everyday except for those when I have to be up and out early or smething. Sometimes I read but don't post either. Mitch got it right for sure

Warm front pushing through this morning has triggered off a mix of snow and freezing drizzle along with gusty winds. Local schools are closed. First snow day for this year and wintre isn't even here yet. Winter Weather advisories are in effect for part of this morning. Probably won't go in to gym. Not sure yet. Advissories in effect illl 9 a.m, gym not till 10:30. We shall see.

Red, loved the picture of you and your daughter. Two beautiful ladies all dressed to go out and enjoy a wonderful evening. How nice of your husband, whom I'm sure went "whew" after he was able to let your daughter go in his place

Dawn has a new internet system, BJ is getting her "fur kids" teeth cleaned again, Soos heads to the doc this mornig, others making plans for mini GTG's or getting ready to make their wheels into permanent homes. Busy bunch we are. Isn't it interesting to see how despite we are all scattered over this big country, how everybody does the same kinds of things, only in their own ways. We all have our regional accents, terms for different things, different climates, different ways of doing the same things, but we are all bound by a common thread, the loving of RVing and the outdoors.

Speaking of there never being a November 30, 2012 again, has anybody realized that on 12/12/12 that will be the last day that all the numbers will be the same in out lifetime. There is no 13th month, hence there will not be another match of the numbers till the calendar rolls out of the 2000's.

Some of you are probably wondering how Ms. Tessa made out at the vet. Well, her bacteria levels are showing there is still sme bacteria in the urine and some of her other levels (BUN, Creatine (sp/) etc.) are either a bit low or in a couple of cases a bit high. The antibiotic she is on, Tetracycline, is what is making her a bit sick, so she doesn't eat. We have stopped it before to help her recover her appetite and have stopped it now for a week. It is the only thing for the most part that is between her and kidney failure. It's been a long term thing as the vet is trying to ward off the kidney failure. So for right now, she is off all her meds except estrogen twice a week and is now on a Prescription Diet canned food, Hill's K/D. We go back next week for another round of tests and then at the point he said he mght be able to make a better determination what the prognosis might be in her case. She's had some bouts with bladder infections over the 4 years she's been with me, so I think that something has been slowly building up in her system. But she's a fighter and as long as she wants to keep fighting, so am I. And she loves that new canned food. Is really chomping it up. And in the light of this, I have decided to postpone my trip north for the holidays. Her health is more important right now than that trip and if by next week, the vet thinks she is doing okay and he doesn't need to see her again for awhile, we can still go. This can go on for a while yet or it can all end at the blink of an eye.

So that's the news from my end. Am going to catch up on some of the other threads now and see what I missed yesterday. Have a wonderful day everyone, keep safe, healthy, and happy. Love you all!

Good morning Carol, Dawn and Sue and all that follow. Carol, people have said my daughter and I look alike, but sisters?? How sweet. I gave birth to her 29 yrs ago :P I'm excited to meet Lori and The Sultan today. I bought the dog ramp from Karen. Lori & Ernie are kind enough to deliver it to me today on their way to LA. They need to make it to their CG in LA by this afternoon, so it will be a very short visit. Sue, sorry you have to cancel your trip, but we all understand about the health of our fur babies. I pray Tess will continue to progress. Those darn bladder infections. Tessa, the King of England and me.....we all have been battling chronic UTIs  ( technically he is not the King, but the Prince consort...but he keeps landing in the hospital from his UTIs )

We had computer techs at the house until 10 last night. I was thinking of charging them rent instead of paying them $60 hour :x DH's computer died back the day we were leaving to go to Canyon Lake. The tech said he needed a new hard drive. They got it up and running, but it needed to stay on 24/7. But DH has put it off. So while I was at the concert Wed night, there was a power outage and guess what?? So yesterday I bought a new hard drive and DH called the tech. Well!! The first tech arrived, couldn't get things going, so he called in another tech to help. They couldn't get things working so the boss showed up and there were 3 of them. They finally got thing s going and left after 10 pm. Anyway, I hiked out to the "way out" building and brought in DH's fake Christmas tree and got it assembled and the lights plugged in. It sure isn't the same as a fresh one, but so much easier!!! I miss the smell of a newly cut pine tree :P

I was the last to post on yesterday's morning coffee before the forum went "down" for service. So I didn't know the forum was "down" until I checked back latter in the day. Sure is a funny feeling not being able to check in on your cyper community of friends. And yes, Thank you Beth for making this forum possible. Sometimes, You don't know how important it is until its not there

Everyone have a great day. Stay warm and be safe. Aloha y'all

Good Morning all. Hard to believe it is Friday, I'm really behind on my to do list and the bank has now moved to the top as the final real estate tax payment is due today.
Winnie and Andy seem to be fine this morning after their dental work, both were still pretty quite last night. Surprisingly the vet said give them their regular food for dinner, since Winnie had to have a bit of oral surgery after he pulled a back tooth, I thought she would have need soft food. She had no problem though, after going with out food all day I think she just inhaled her dinner.
The mobile auto/RV wash and wax service came yesterday and Elsie looks like new! I was amazed at how fast they were and how good she looks. Wish I could get her inside so she would stay that way for awhile.
Sue, I hope Tessa will feel well enough to travel soon. Big hugs as I know how hard this is for you.
Need to get moving, I'm ready for my second breakfast!

Red - I don't know if you saw my post yesterday, but I'm going to see Amahl and the Night Visitors at an Episcopal church in town and wanted to see if you wanted to go. A friend that I haven't seen in years is going to be one of the Magi.

It's warm and muggy today - we are supposed to have 80 degree temps all weekend. Made me long for the cooler temps I will see in northern AZ in a few weeks. I have just about convinced Mark he can go - now if he can get off work.

Sue - that's too bad that you are postponing your trip, but Tessa comes first. I need to get my 2 monsters in to the vet before the trip. They need their shots and I want to make sure there's nothing besides old age going on with Oscar. He doesn't jump up on the bed anymore and getting into the truck is a chore. He did use the ramp grudgingly but even though it has a non-skid, it's not enough so I'm going to get the same runner material I have down in the Land Dinghy to cover it. That material is much thinner than carpet so that it will still telescope down (I hope).

Yes, please send me the info. We are going to pick up our Montana from Holiday World tomorrow. So, I will see how the stress from getting her backed into her spot at the house goes and if there is enough time after that :P

Welcome to the morning... so glad the forum is not having repairs done miss seeing everyone... wow Sarah that would be a hard place to pass up... not sure which dessert I would choose... hard choice...
Sue I hope Tess is better so you can take your annual trip to the UP... Shadow has been having a hard time with the food I got last week... it is Science Diet but a different kind it is 7+ thought it would be good for his aging body but he upchucks it a lot... if he does not get used to it I will have to get another kind... my fault as I could not remember what kind I had before...
Bonnie did a nice job on my living room yesterday... there is no way I could ever move the furniture... next week she will do the main bath it is much smaller than the master... mobile homes have very nice configurations...
Maggie so sorry you are not feeling well... get better soon...
My fire place is keeping me warm this morning... so nice to see everyone!!

Good morning everyone!

I was just finishing up a post, hit the Enter key to start a new paragraph, and poof, the post was gone.

Red, have a good visit with Lori & Ernie. They are such fun people. Carol & Sara, have a good visit with Wendy. You'll have a great time together! Sue, I'm sorry you had to cancel your trip. Maybe you can reschedule it for sometime after the first of the year. To everyone else traveling, be safe and have a good time wherever you are.

We're having the floor in the utility room replaced which rotted out from back to back floods. Once the old floor was out, they found burned wires and floor joists that were burned as well. Fortunately everything was so wet, we didn't have a fire. The wiring has been replaced, pressure treated floor joists are replacing the old ones and the floor is down. I think later today the spare refrigerator and freezer will be moved out of the garage and back into the utility room. The part we've been waiting on for the kitchen refrigerator is supposed to be in today, so maybe we'll get that going as well. Things are falling into place.

I hope everyone has a really good day. Please take care.

Good Morning,

I am a slow starter this a.m.

Went for a RZR ride yesterday on one of my favorite trails that the summer rains made even rougher going over rocks. Also rode a trail I had not been on before that was 'interesting' going up a hill.

I came home to find my BFF's husband passed away. His 2nd brain aneurysm was inoperable, and he went downhill quickly. Another couple whose 'someday' won't happen.

Played hard yesterday so must get busy. Glad to read everyone's news this morning.

I am taking a rest day after driving for two days. I even slept in this morning and woke up to a very much appreciated phone call from an old work colleague.

Don't need to get to Anastasia SP until tomorrow afternoon, so I am using this day to work through an online training program I need to complete on the new software the college is using. I am very much looking forward to this software because the one we have been using for the past year is sophisticated, but very awkward and hard to use. (Can you imagine having to close emails and your response after sending it?)

This afternoon, I am going to take advantage of the ranger-led walk.

I did some calculations and discover that in the month of November, I have driven over 3,400 miles--way too many! It was also very expensive in gas. I had wanted to spend time at the Texas GTG, which I did, but that meant a long drive up to Indiana for warranty work, to Michigan for doctor appointments, to Ohio to visit my son and his family, and back down to southeast Georgia where I am now because I have reservations in St. Augustine at Anastasia tomorrow. Whew. Makes me tired thinking of it.

I am going to try to go more slowly from now on. Will be spending at least a week every place I stay in Florida through the end of March, so hopefully I will get a long winter rest.

Good morning gals! It's the last day of November so you know what that means? Tomorrow morning you all need to say "RABBITS" first thing when you wake up! Hopefully I will remember too! I usually forget

Shama, my new dog, is doing pretty well so far. Yesterday she got sick a few times. I got her some different canned food to mix with her dry stuff and she is doing much better with that so that must have fixed the problem for her. She is so sweet! I thing I will give her a bath this weekend. Get her fluffy and smelling good!

Had the day off yesterday and started reading a library book about the Dust Bowl. It is actually the diary of a young girl who lived in Dalhart TX back in the 30's and tells about life and survival during the worst of the dust bowl. It was fascinating to read and I couldn't put it down until I finished it last night! If you are interested in reading it, it is called "Survival In The Storm, The Dust Bowl Diary of Grace Edwards". Really a great book!

Today, back to work later. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Posting from my cellphone because no one near where were parked was gracious enough to leave their wifi insecure...and I have yet to learn how hubby uses his cell. Lol

Im happy to report that I drove the rig alne for the first time! I was worked about the mud issue at my aunts. I moved it down into town for the day...was going to utilize an offer from a friend to use their drive but ended up driving more...toward pasadena to meet up with my husband whom was spending time with le kiddo after work.

Duarte, ca walmart would not let me overnight...the whole time we lived out here we saw rigs parks there...now that its our turn...they say no. Bummer.

So remembered a street near our old house that had a park and seemed like a good spot (we noted this years ago) and that's where we boondocked for the night. Hubby was closer to work than where we've been lately. The commute and other things work related are getting to him so wanted to alleviate what I could.

So I drove by myself...my aunts place has a challenging turn and a tight entry. Easy peas.peasy

I then took it upon myself to go dump all by my lonesome for the very first time too! Earlier in the day yesterday. I feel empowered and just a tad bit more free. I can do this myself if needto be one day

Its pouring...the park is beautiful but my dogs hate water....so sitting here contemplating my next move...friends want to hang out Saturday night with possible overnight and not sure boondocking will appeal...I guess it depends on where...anyway, morning all...from my cell...have a great day.
