Thursday--TG!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday--TG!

Good morning y'all! :D Hope everyone is well this a.m.! Oh yes, I'm so excited that this will be my last night on my old mattress! Now the ironic thing: I slept better in my HarBor on the 3" foam! Meaning my ole mattress (10yo?) has really "broken down"--wasn't a good one to begin with! Nancy, thanks for the tip on Naproxen--hoping the mattress will alleviate the greatest part of the pain. Right now, some ibewprofen now & then has done the trick, along with a few moments on the heating pad each day. ...Wow, so many new critters, that I, too, can't keep track of all of them. Hope all are doing well too! Tessa, that's a heart-wrenching one. Happy bday Toby! Did he get a special celebration? Glad BJ & DH are feeling better! And Soos, THANKS for reminding all abot the bewty of TODAY, definitely a GIFT each morning! Gena & fam, cownting the last days to their "official" new life-style! :D Yep, life happens! Go with the flow or drown?! Snowing lightly this a.m., yet I hear we're to have 40-50 degrees this wkend. Weather happens, whether we like it or not  Y'all have a great day! Keeping y'all in my prayers for whatever needs yew have, & thankfol again for yore friendship & caring, & for being there when I wake each a.m.! :P

Good morning all. I had the most wonderful evening. DH surprised me with tickets to see Andrea Bocelli in concert. DH doesn't even know who Andrea is, but knew that I wanted to see the most wonderful Italian opera Tenor in the world perform in person. Bocelli has never been to Houston and I did not know he was coming until DH popped the tickets as a surprise. Surprise #2 ....daughter wound up spending the night before heading back to Seattle. (United Airlines flew her here for a job interview). DH gave DD his ticket for the concert. He was going to go just for me, he really didn't care about seeing some Italian opera singer. So he explained that DD would enjoy the concert so much more than he would and gave her his ticket. (Graciously off the hook  )

So, DD and I got dressed and drove to the venue, found a wonderful Italian restaurant. We filled ourselves with pasta, gnocchi and Italian wine. Then listened to 2 wonderful hours of the most intense and sweet tenor sing classic opera, pop opera and American pop with the Houston Symphony and a chorus of 120 voices. It was heaven. :P I'm still floating!!

Have to get ready to take DD to the airport. Will have coffee when I return. Everyone have a great day. Stay warm and if traveling stay safe. Aloha y'all

I can just imagine Sasquatch going "whew!!!!". LOL

I was beginning to think the board was broken and I was going into withdrawal this morning.

Hey Chris - do you like Amahl and the Night Visitors? It's Sunday evening, 5:30 at The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany. I will get you the address if you are interested. A friend of mine is going to be in it - and he's a tenor as well,or is he a bass? No he's a tenor!

Good morning all.

Thanks for the shout-out, carolb. :) Last night we got our first rain... it wasn't too much... but there is more expected over the next few days and I do not want to get stuck here in the mud. Already the dogs came in from potty and jumped right up to the sofa.

Not much going on today for me... it's a bunch of doing nothing. Hubby gets to go see le kiddo today and take him to school and pick up his final items from the apartments. -he says he wants to see about turning keys in today and being done with it. 8-)

I'm hoping to move today or tomorrow... although everyone has been nice and very accommodating, I don't want to stay in one place too long... and infringe on others personal space- plus we did this to move (even if it is limited for now due to work).

Not sure if we'll go to a friends place- whom has already prepped their drive for us! or just go over to the local RV place... maybe both.

Looking into getting a permit to stay at the Johnny Carson Park in Burbank, CA ($15 for 3 days)- which puts us 30 minutes from hubby's work... and also looking into boondocking around the Rose Bowl area in Pasadena, CA... for future use...

Yesterday I cleaned and organized all the junk that was brought over in the last couple car loads...most wasn't supposed to get here... so we need to still deal with rehoming them. blargh! ;)

Yea, nothing going on...I walk the dogs, snap some photos and waste away on the internet, lol.

Hope everyone else is enjoying the average mundane day -at minimum. :)

Good one, Mitch. I had it too. Had to get up from the puter and do something useful. So I climbed up the RV ladder and cleaned & conditioned the rubber roof. I figure that's enough work for one day. Went for a walk and now having lunch. Back on the puter.

Good morning all. Red, I love Andrea Bocelli also. His first CD I got I played it until I'm pretty sure it doesn't work any more. So glad you enjoyed the concert. Did your daughter enjoy it also?

Hello, still morning where Maggie and I, are. Looks beautiful outside and our walk along the Tn. river was fabulous. Those who know me, know water and I, are good ;) This is a nice place for us both to get back in better shape for walking then we have been most of summer. Maggie, is sleeping and I'm just giving my back a rest.

Mitch, loved the cartoon, fit me to a tee, been some time since I have tried to get on and had no results, so knew it would be fixed , but still coffee time was not as good.

Red, I envy you so much, what a wonderful surprise, your DH gave you, tickets to see and hear Bocelli in person. I would love to see him in person, always try to see him when he has a tv. performace and of course, always enjoy the CD's, I've given myself as gifts :D Yes, you should be walking on air :D

Have a great day all, those traveling please stay safe,
CArol :)

Great cartoon Mitch, yes that was all of us this morning, I know I was thrown off my schedule for the second time. We had to have Winnie and Andy at the vets to have their teeth cleaned AGAIN by eight. ACK, they just had it done in April. I'm looking for soft chewable cleaners for them, this is crazy they have both lost several teeth. Getting those two any where is like getting two toddlers out the door clean! Not that I've ever had to do that but I have a good imagination.
Cleaning lady is here thank goodness I do not feel like vacuuming and Michael just came in with lunch. Life is good.
You sound like you are in a perfect spot CArol enjoy !!

THERE everyone is! I love Mitch's cartoon, as that's exactly how we all must have been feeling this morning when we couldn't get on!

I am back in my trailer in St. Cloud now, as I have a morning doc appointment, so I decided to come today, stay tonight and tomorrow night, and head back to Orlando on Saturday to await delivery of anythings I ordered. The dogs are loving their freedom again here!

It is very windy here today, but a nice warm 73 degrees and sunny. Perfect for camping!

Red, I am so jealous of your being able to see Bocelli in person! I absolutely LOVE that guy's voice, as I used to love Mario Lanza as a kid. I need to see if Bocelli has made a Christmas album yet, as I will buy it for myself to play along with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's Christmas album. If I had Andrea's CDs with me now, I would play them, but they are back in Orlando!

Happy next-to-last day of November!

Red, so happy for you. Two treats in one. Concert and daughter getting to stay the night.

I am so excited. I have high speed internet again. Called our Mobile RV guy and he came and installed my antennas for me today. He attached the outside antenna to my TV antenna so when it is down, so is my internet antenna. I won't have to worry about it sticking up when driving. I can go from window to window (when I am working, I can have 6 or more windows open at one time going back and forth between them) like I used to be able to with DSL. So happy. My cell phone jumped from 2 bars to 4 also. Red, I need to show this setup to Sasquatch! He will love it.

I let Buddy Bird out of his cage for a few minutes today to fly around. He really did not want to come back to me when it was time to get back in the cage. I got him and petted his head for a couple of minutes. He is starting to tame down, but we still have a long way to go.

I was having Forum withdrawals this morning for sure. It is the first thing I do in the morning while I am drinking my coffee. LOL, it was really strange not getting to see what everyone was up to for the day.

Hope everyone is having a great day. I need to get back to work now that the RV guy is gone. If you are traveling today, stay safe.

Its almost morning again but another day. Hope you got a chance to see the moon the past couple of nights.

Love the cartoon, Mitch. Funny how so many of us flock here before we start our day and how easily we get thrown off track when we cannot read about what is going on in our womens world. (BTW: Thank you, Beth for making it possible for such a wonderful way to start our day.)

Dentist was successful in rebuilding my broken tooth, now I just have to I just have to be careful about what I eat. Even better there was still enough $$ left for FL trip and I don't have to wear a veil over my face.

Carol (Carolinagal) and I enjoyed a lazy day and I have a few photos but after fighting Photobucket tonight will wait to post them. Well, except for one or two in case you want something sweet for breakfast in the morning. We had a late lunch/early dinner at new place here. Can you believe the manager suggested we come back another time for desert because their selection was unusually low? This is only two of six cases.

We did not have any room for desert anyway.
Weather has warmed back up for Carol's visit so we will be getting out and about again.
