Barbie, this is such great news. What a wonderful gesture to take this little dog and give it the home it deserves. Wouldn't it be a wonderful world if there was more of this? She's a real cutie. She reminds me of my Sammie who is shi tzu. She didn't like the camera and still doesn't after five years. She gets walked twice a day.

I guessI have been lucky, my two Havanese are trained to use either their papers or to go outside. It is especially nice when it's raining or storming and they don't want to go out. So far it has worked well and they don't go inside any place other than their papers, now if only Toby would get the idea.

my girls use the wee wee pads but they love to go outside too but it certainly saves me from going out in the heat in the summer or any other adverse
weather conditions and most importantly when I'm on the road I won't have to take them out anytime I feel uncomfortable as in the middle of the night,
in the dark when all the scary monsters are out there

Ever since that ranger in fl had me move my rig back 20 ft or so because of the gator waiting to crawl out of the water in the night.....I think of all the monsters (or coyotes) in the night that wait to run past on the fly and pick off a Remi dog in the middle of his 4am potty break. Somehow my imagination doesn't picture Stuart in that same fantasy...but then if they came in a pack....

Shama did great overnight and again today while I was at work for 8 hours. No accidents, no issues. And I found her and Lola sitting within a few feet of each other without any confrontations. Lola seems a little annoyed by her but not intimidated at all.

I ordered an indoor pet potty with faux grass to see if I can train her to use it. Would only need it if I have a long shift at work or if the weather is really bad. Otherwise I don't mind taking her out for walks at all. She is very good on a leash. I did luck out with a good dog!

I work 12hr shifts so my dog ends up being alone 13-14hrs and we never have accidents but she is anxious to go out when I get home. But of course by then she is all stirred up and happy to see me. When I am not working I walk her in the morning about 9am and then again about 5pm and that is all she requires. Gotta love a dog with a great bladder.
