Good Morning Carolb, Zee, Dawn and everyone else who comes in for Coffee,
Bit of light snow flitting around here this morning. But big warm up coming this weekend, so I am thinking we will have bare ground again. Have a hard time remembering that this is still November. Feels more like December, but then it's only 3 days away.
Carolb, have fun with teaching the next two days. Nice to have some "extra" green coming in. Hope the new mattress works for you. I have Serta's on my bed and love em.
Zee, sounds like you do indeed have your "pill" thing down to an art. Same here. Sassy gets But put htea Proin pill twice a day and she knows when it's time. Unfortunately for me, her schedule is still on Daylight Saving Time as far as she's cncerned, so I get work up at 5 a.m.
But put that pill in a piece of cheese and down it goes.
Dawn, sounds like you are getting quite a mengerie (sp?) in your home on wheels. Make it feel more like home. Your new feathered friend will settle down after it gets used to being covered. Probably felt trapped under there. Bird instinct.
As for Ms. Tessa. The vet called yesterday morning and we talked over the phone for a bit. Told him what going on and he said to stop the antibiotics and also wants me to bring her in today. I didn't give her any pills yesterday and I noticed that she is a bit more perky to a point. She did eat up some of her dinner last night, mostly the wet food and a bit of dry kibble and then shared some scrambled egg with me this morning. Plus she has some interest in her favorite dog treats again. So we shall see what the vet has to say today. I"m sure he is going to run the usual "p" sample, some blood work etc. to see what the status of the kidney function is and for all I know, maybe put her on the special diet he's been talkinb about. I wish I could have left her on the dry kibble she was on earlier last month as she seemed to really like it, but unfortunately it's protein content is too high for a dog with kidney disease. I'm thinking it's getting to a point where it's going to be a toss up between whether letting her eat what she wants and let nature take it's course, or trying the diet and hoping it helps her feel better and enjoy life a bit. This appt. will also help me decide whether to keep my plans to head north for the holidays or stay home here, close by the vet is needed. He might want to check her further this next month. What will be will be. We do what's best for our "fur kids".
So that's what's on my agenda for this morning. Once that's done, then off to the Pet Food Store to replenish Ms. Sassy's food supply. If the trip is still on, have a few things to do while i am up town. If not, will come home and get into doing some things around here, namely putting away stuff I have ready to go north.
So, with all that in mind, I am going to head off and start my day. Hope you all have a wonderful day. Those with health issues, will keep you in my prayers, those on the road, travel safe and enjoy your travels.
