Good morning Carolb and all that follow. This forum does not allow me to stay blue for very long. We all have those days and these ladies always lift me right back up. I am excited about getting to meet you at the Fl GTG.

Today will be busy. Have to take Mom to get her bloodwork done at 8:45 this morning. Then back to Petsmart to get that parakeet and paraphernalia I need for it. Then back for vet appointments for Belle and Bitsey at 3:00. I will post pics later of the bird. Will have to think of name for the bird after I get it. Got to go put the coffee on now, take the dogs out and then jump in the shower. Need to wake Mom up too so she can have her coffee too.

Talk to y'all later. Want to see the posting of Lori and Earnie's anniversary but that will have to wait until this evening.

Everyone have a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good Morning Carolb and all who follow,

Wow, miss reading a Morning Coffee for one night and find that just about everybody chimed in yesterday. Sounds like all's well wit the world right now as far as the forum is concerned. Everybody happy and busy or planning things to do or go to.

Glad to see that Joan posted and gave us an update on her condition. Thank you for callling her Liz.

Got an email from my friends last night and they have made it home safely. They are having out of town company for dinner tonight. Always busy, busy, busy. But glad they are home safe and sound.

As for things around here, it snowed on and off all day yesterday, but didnt amount to much of anything. Is cold this morning, 18 degrees at the moment. Supposed to warm up by weekend and early next week. There's only about 3-4 inches of snow here, so I expect that will melt down. Barbie, I know you are not looking forward to the winter way up there in MN, but it's been a couple of years since you have been in winter. Embrace it for what it is. Bundle up and go for a walk everyday if you can, take your camera, look for the beauty in it, and send us some pics. Rent some cross country skis or snowshoes if you can and get out and play in the snow. And when you come back in, with your cheeks all rosy, you will feel so much better for it. Make a cup of hot cocoa, get out some of your famous cookies and curl up in front of your "fire" and relax. It feels so good.

I think I am going to head for Houghton Lake today. It's a small lakeside community about 50 south of here. They have a nice craft storre down there and it's where I go get some of the wood parts that I make my signs with. Right now I want some Christmas trees, snowmen, candy canes and the like for Christmas and winter signs. I don't have the means to make them myself and they aren't that expensive to buy. Then I can get into sign making in a bit here. Plan to hit the big KMart and maybe WalMart while i am down there as well.

Also busy getting things ready to head north in a little over a week. Hopefully Ms. Tessa will be well enough for us to make the trip. She was have a bad day yesterday. Threw up the turkey I gave her in the morning and wasn't feeling well all day. I've temporarily stopped the anitbiotics she has been on since end of June as they do cause tummy upset and we have stoppped them a couple of times over these past 5 months. She has no interest in eating much right now. Not good. So will let the tummy heal up a bit for awhile. I wish I didn't have to take her off the one dry kibble she was on as she loved it and was so full of energy it seems, but the vet said the protein count was too high for her kidney disease problem. So.... She seems to have perked up this morning. Always a worry.

Well, been great having coffee with you all this morning. Time to get a move on here. Washer is going and a load heading to the dryer pretty soon, bed to make, gotta get cleaned up and dressed and wait for the weather to get it's act together before I leave. Will give the roads a little time to thaw out too. Have a wonderful day, all.

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Glad to see the blues have dissipated and that we can all see the sun through the trees at least for today. It is a much warmer day here this morning already, so this afternoon should be perfect for a bike ride and then to the pool to cool off!

Dawn is making her home-on-wheels a menagerie of furry and feathered and gilled creatures! I can't wait to meet them all in January! What a treat to visit a pet shop whilst camping!

Happy to hear the good news about Joanne, for sure. I need to go back and find Liz's post regarding that.

Sue, I am so sorry to hear about Tessa's lingering illness due to kidney failure, it would appear. You have tried everything you can for her, and now it's all up to her body to see if it can rally once more so she can have a fun vacation in the northerner country with you over Christmas. Molly and Dinah send her their love and strength for healing and feeling better, and I send hugs for you as you try to help her along.

I need to get led lights for my house this year, as the ones I have are barely visible as I remember from last year. The neighbors on both sides of me have put up their decorations including house eave lights, which is what I plan to do as soon as I find a couple of good long strings of bright ones. I don't like the flashing ones, so all I want is a mixed color string along the eaves. The I have my wreath for the door upon which hangs a little alligator with a red scarf around its neck that my father had hanging on his door so many years ago down here. I always think of him when I hang up that gator.

I need to call my insurance agent today to see if he has found a new company to insure me in January, as the current company is withdrawing from FL, as so many others have done due to their having to spend so much on hurricane expense help. Sigh----always something to do. I also need to get online and see if my secondary health insurance will cover the dermatologist Melissa found to see what's growing on my legs----each leg has one of these infernal "things" which itch like crazy and seem to be growing.

Here's hoping you all have a wonderful day wherever you may be!

Good morning all. Glad to hear you are feeling better Carol, I think we all get a little down during the holidays. I pretty much ignore holidays, especially Christmas which I have never liked since I found out there was no Santa, :D but I still get somewhat depressed. Sue I hope Tessa feels well enough to travel I know you are looking forward to your trip. Dawn is getting her home just right by getting her parakeet today. Maybe you could call her Ramblin Rose! Soos, good luck with the insurance guy!
I am not happy with myself and Toby this morning. He chewed up my new $$$ glasses, I should have known better though to have left them within his reach. :( I can wear them but they have sharp ends now instead of padded... I'll be ordering my new ones online!
It is really cold here this morning, feels like 19 out there brrr!

Good morning all, We had a thunderstorm last night and it is still dark and gloomy this AM. Tyler let me sleep in :P

My youngest daughter is coming to town for just a few hours. I'm excited to see her even if its just a few hrs. She has an interview with United Airlines tomorrow. They fly her in tonight and she flies back tomorrow. Wish she could extend the trip, but United wont let her :( At least she will stay here tonight and we can catch up.

I am dragging my feet about getting out the Xmas decorations. The spirit has not hit me yet. Holiday blues already  You have company Carol !!

Glad to hear Joan is mending and on the road to recovery. Soos, get those spots looked at. Although melanoma usually doesn't itch, you still need to get it looked at. Hope Tessa is feeling better. Fun to read about and see pics of the new fur, feather and fin babies. Lots of new family members. :P

Everyone stay safe, stay warm and extra careful if you're on the road. Aloha y'all

good morning ladies, but its actually almost noon. Feeling a little off today, almost like a hangover, do you suppose there could be such a
thing as a "FOOD" hangover. Been stuffed for days and yesterday I ate just like normal but woke up this morning with a bad headache and
severe hunger. Ate just a tiny bit for my breakfast and will eat just a tiny bit for lunch and see if I can shake this thing off. Will eat a tiny bit
for dinner too but early enough so I'm not going to bed with a full tummy. Don't like that feeling of feeling off like I'm trying to catch something.
But the weather is beautiful and I certainly can't complain about that. I'm going out to walk for my break and enjoy the sunshine. Ya'll have a
great day and be safe.

Good afternoon. It's raining, cold and raw here in Maryland today. Worst part was I had to go out in it to get some groceries! Ugh. Gd celebrates her 14th birthday on Friday. No party this year...I promised her a big one when she turns 16. But we will go,out to dinner with her grandfather and I have ordered her a cake from the bakery. In two weeks my baby will celebrate her 29th birthday. I need to get something for her...just not sure what yet. I've got most of my Christmas shopping done, with the exception of my sons. They get harder to buy for every year and then I have to ship to them too...so it gets complicated. I think I came up with a good idea for my sister for Christmas though. That is if I can get it sent and back by Christmas. I found a couple reels of 8mm film that my dad had taken when we were kids and I'm going to send them off to have them converted to DVD. It needs to be done, even if I don't get it by Christmas because the film is getting old.

Gd is not going to be happy with me when she gets home today. She did really good for the first marking period and since then has let several of her grades slip...as in hasn't been doing the assignments! I'm not happy about it and after getting an email from one of her teachers today I have decided that she will loose her computer privileges until the grades come back up to a C. So, no more game playing on the computer for her for a while. She tends to be lazy when it comes to homework...maybe this will motivate her.

Will, probably bring the tree up from the basement this weekend and get it decorated. Not sure when I will get the outside done...probably not till a sunny warmer day. Well, a sunny day anyway.

Okay, need to get off this contraption for now. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

Sue, I think I got just the thing now for this...just got myself a dog! I posted on the Pet Thread all about her!
