Mending Heart update

Postby JoanE » Mon Nov 26, 2012 6:38 pm

Thank you Liz for reminding me to post about my recovery. Three weeks ago I had aortic valve replacement. After seven days in the hospital, I went home to my daughter's. A few days ago, I returned to my rig. I can't drive yet, so I am still relying on daughters and friends to take me to appointments, shop for me, etc. Everyone tells me how good I look and I see improvements in my strength every day but there are still those moments and even days when I just feel sick. My cardiologist says I need to be patient and let my body heal, that it takes some time after this type of surgery.

Thank you for all the positive energy and prayers. I have not had the focus to be on my computer but Liz's call to me today reminded me that I owed you all an update. I keep thinking about the FL GTG coming up in January and am so looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

Very glad to hear from you. And to hear that you are progressing well according to the doctor, if not fast enough for you :) Keep it up and by the gtg, you'll be better than ever.

Glad to hear you are recovering well. Yes, time seems to move so slowly when you are the one recovering, but it will come.
