Sheila, looks like we need to plan at least a few days during the show and get this going in the gtg room. I'll need to figure whether I can come for more than a day - therefore bring the rig or just drive for a day - but I'll do one or the other. We probably need to do this sooner rather than later if some want sites in parks. I'll be fine boondocking if I bring the rig.

I might take you up on that - but it's harder on you - you'd have to put up with me AND Peaches lol.

For all you who are interested in the Quartzsite sale and potential gtg:

The dates of the RV show are January 19-27, 2013. That's when the Good Sam red and white tent is there with all the RV related vendors in and around the huge tent. Of course, there are all the other vendors at the flea markets surrounding the tent to explore, too.

You can read about it at <www.quartzsitervshow.com>

I will be there with my Good Sam group arriving Sun. 1/21 and leaving probably Thurs 1/24. We usually stay at Rice Ranch which is right on the corner across the street from the tent and sales, but understand they won't take us now because they want long term RVers (2 wks or more) so I've heard we're staying across the street on the opposite corner. I hear it's owned by the brother of the Rice Ranch guy. Both RV "parks" have some full hook-up sites, and last I knew we were reserved. The owners are always confusing about their reservations and we've had problems in the past. Usually works out okay.

I don't know if Sharon will have her toad, but if you all decide on a date, place and time I'll plan to come, too (assuming Sharon or someone can pick me up!)

In your experience, what is the nicest CG or RV park in or close to Quartzsite ??? It sounds like maybe the latter part of Jan would be good for a gtg??? RV show is Jan 19-27. The car show and gem shows are Feb 2-3. I think DH really wants to see the car show and rock show. We would like to try to see the RV show, but sounds like huge crowds :) Well have to see about that one.

I'll take a road trip and write down names of rv parks and post it on here or on the gtg page

Sheila, should we try for a gtg during the time Evie will be in town? It could start or end beyond that time, but I'd hate to miss her. And I'll only be able to come a couple days. And, yes, we should pick days and get this to the gtg room.

Was working on having a date, etc before we had two (or more) threads on the same topic. This won't be a typical gtg - as we won't all be staying in the same place, etc - too late to even attempt that. And those of you going to Q that want to stay with hookups need to get reservations in - if there are even any available.
