Good morning after turkey day friends! Its a beautigul day in Alabama, I am making any excuse not to go out and rake leaves tho, but enjoyed my am coffee outside. But all theat is supposed to change tomorrow. My turkey was delicious (Dawn I can cook if I want to I usually just don't want to!). Looking in the refrigerator is like Christmas because I have a bunch of "packages" in there and don't know what's in them! I know what we had just not what is in which package. Last year I didnt have hardly any leftovers, that bunch can certainly eat! For 18 plus years I was on the other side of Black Friday. In the earlier years it was actually fun once I woke up, but in later years seemed we saw the worst in people. But always once the early madness wore off, it was about tlike any other weekend day. Except the 3 years I worked lawayay in Wmart. I still have nightmares about those! You all have a good start to the next season today, and be SAFE and have FUN! Wendy

There was a house in town that was the local Christmas light attraction for years. They had a Class C motorhome and would put Mickey and Minnie in the front seats and decorate the whole thing along with their house and yard. I seldom drive at night so don't know if they still do that. Over the years some of the neighbors were not happy with the traffic. When my Aunts and Uncle were still alive my Uncle would load up the car and take everyone to see the Christmas lights in Dallas. Really miss them.

I cooked a stuffed chicken and a turkey breast for Thanksgiving. I brined the turkey and it was really juicy. I had never cooked just the breast before so don't have anything to compare it to. There weren't many bones but I am boiling them and will use the water to make a gumbo tomorrow. It's in the 70's so not really gumbo weather but think we have a front coming through this weekend. I didn't make a dessert for yesterday and would really like to make a pecan pie. We'll see if I can resist that today.

Yesterdays paper was larger than a Sunday paper with all the ads. A lot of stores were opening up last night. Glad there isn't anything I really want. I feel for the workers that had to go back to work last night.

Good morning all,

I don't do Black Friday shopping!

I was up early this morning so I could drop off my RV at the RV shop for two recalls (bumper and tire holder). It seems the tire holder that attatches to my bumper (slides out to hold bicycles or stuff up to 250 lbs.) may cause stress to bumper, which may cause the welds on bumper and/or tire rack holder to break apart. While it is there, I will have the roof inspected (it has been about 8 months since last inspection). I sure don't want any roof leaks. I am also getting a price to purchase and install two Fantastic fans, one for the living area and the bedroom.

I had a nice Thanksgiving Day lunch with my sister, her boyfriend and her daughter. There was enough leftovers to take some of that delicious food home.

Have a great day!

I had a nice day at my brother's place yesterday. We worked well together to get a good meal on the table. He thanked me for helping him and even said he was glad to have me back home!

The weather was beautiful (60) until early afternoon, when it got windy and started snowing! The temps started dropping quickly and was 30 degrees by 5pm. Now it is 26 degrees with high blustery winds! Was snowing earlier but is clearing up now.

I am on a split shift today and worked from 9 to 11 with only one haircut. Will head back at 4pm. After leaving work, I reluctantly headed to the mall to stop at Target. They had a nice fleece sweater for $10 and I need one for work. Luckily, I found a parking spot up front right away, walked in and found the sweaters near the door, found the color and size I wanted and got to a register with no line! Was in and out in less than 10 minutes! Amazing!

Now just relaxing at home before heading back.

Glad to hear everyone got their bellies full yesterday! I sure ate too much!

PS> Soos, how do you know there aren't any alligators in that pond you swim in???
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
