What I want to know is how you end up with another one of those "Doesn't need as much grooming dogs" :? For a women who doesn't care to invest much time in her own "grooming" (Short hair no hair dryer...) how do I end up with a house full of hairy beasts that require attention? I keep looking at the "wash cloth" dogs with envy.....

And those of us who have shared our lives with more than one dog at a time understand....the relationships between dogs makes our lives richer also......They share so much without words.... :) They remind us the power of silence.

And for those of us who end up with a yapper that makes us long for a little silence :!:

Good for you Karen, sure hope Sophie approves. It may not be love at first sight but if not maybe she would learn to like him as a friend :)

Tina I made up for my short hair, easy grooming dogs by previously owning a Maltese - talk about grooming!!!! When I lost him, I said NEVER AGAIN!

I bought a collar for Rafiki, just in case he comes home with me Friday. Am taking a friend with me to restrain me or maybe just to help me bring both home in the car with no problems.

You can't turn your back on him now! He needs you and you need him. It's a match. Something lead you there to meet him. Sophie will be fine. My 11-year-old cockapoo Krissi gladly accepted the addition of Abby to our family last year. Go for it!!!

You're hooked... ;) However he looks like a Gus. When you're ready to travel you could say "Hop in the bus, Gus!"

I never, ever thought Molly would accept another dog, but she and Dinah actually play with each other a bit now, and I know they are happy to have each other's company when I leave them and go out somewhere. Right from the beginning, Molly was growly and bossy to Dinah, but Dinah was so easy and laid back and just ignored Molly's attempt at agression! I hope Sophie decides the little guy will be a fun companion for her, and I am glad you are bringing a leash and collar with you when you return! I look forward to the next post!

Fingers and toes crossed for Sophie welcoming a new brother...He is a cutie and how many times do you get a low maintenance infrequent barker? How about 'make a new plan, Stan'? Seriously, I like the name Rafiki but might shorten to 'kiki'...

With a collar and leash, it sounds pretty certain. I'm sure Sophie will love the company.
