Rockport...to be continued.

Beth and I went to Rockport yesterday. We had lunch at a really nice restaurant. We ordered two appetisers and shared them. Crab Cake and Coconut Shrimp. Yum.

We planned on touring this mansion after lunch

That's when I discovered the batteries were dead in my camera. We did some shopping at really trippy stores and plan to come back...with charged batteries. To be continued....

Loved the restaurant and the view - however, table was high and you SINK into those chairs. I almost asked for a phone book :)

Oh Beth, that's so you can just shovel the food right off the plate into your face!

Yeah, I hate those sorts of seats too. I'm vertically challenged enough when I stand up!

I love that house! Reminds me of some in Eureka, CA.

Hate chairs where I can't reach the table--feel like a little kid sometimes.

Love the lunch scene. Reminds me of when we have lunch along Puget Sound in Seattle area. Food looks delicious!

Are you sure you are in TX? That looks like Maine! What a great spot for lunch.
I'm looking forward to seeing pics of that mansion.

Beth wasn't that the Fulton Mansion? I took a photo of it too the last time we were there at the Western Horizon park( Bay View) but did not get to go inside. Last time we were there the weather was horrible....rained galore and our park was nothing but flooded pot holes! Went another time in April and enjoyed the beach then looking for shells and loved the shops in town. Enjoy your stay there looks like fun and what was the name of the Restaurant?

Yep, it's the Fulton Mansion - and we will go back - when hopefully Sparkle's batteries will not die, and I might even remember to bring my camera.

The restaurant was on Key Allegro - at the Marina - name is (hope I'm getting it completely right here) Paradise Key Island Grill and Dockside Bar. Key Allegro is part of Rockport/Fulton. I like visiting there, but prefer staying in Port Aransas - where I have the beach to walk. Most of the gulffront there is right up to the land - no beach to walk.
