In my car the spare tire space will only fit a donut sized tire! Don't understand that one! :?

LOL - the $425 was for 4 new tires! At my last "check-up", Nissan told me I would be needing tires sooner than later. My tire guy was only going to replace two, but I told him to do 'em all.

My little spare hole only has room for the donut size, too.

I actually thought it was for one tire, also.

Sounds like my experience in Alaska. But I did keep the best of the tires to make a real spare - however, it still needs a rim - so pretty useless now. The spot will only fit the donut one - BUT I'll just use THAT place for other stuff, and put the tire in the trunk (well, that's where it is now). Hated using that donut. It didn't even look like it had air in it.

Sorry for the expense, and know exactly how you feel. Time for a drink or two, eh?

Hell, girl - out here in the country, we make our own ice cream...little rock salt, some ice, little cream, sugar, vanilla and a good, strong shaking arm. This is ice cream in a baggie - the little kiddies LOVE to do it.

HOLY HANNAH....I thought I was in the boonies...but I'm only 5 blocks from a service station and 7 blocks from a grocery store! We also have running water and electricity. $425 sounds about right for new rubber all around.

Looks like I got real lucky in Alaska - although if not for Amazon, I would have been up a creek without a paddle. Paid $336 for the tires (free shipping) then paid $80 to have them put on. So, yep, that $425 sounds about right :)

Mitch, you did check the date on the tires, right? (Like I should talk, but again got lucky, as the tires from Amazon were new with current date.)

The car I had before getting my pickup, had a full size tire as a option. I got the full size tire. I used the "donut space" for things that I wanted to hide. I figured the space taken up in the truck was worth the full size tire and just adapted what I put in the trunk. Linda

Didn't you and George use to live on tropical island somewhere and sell your place to move to TN or am I thinking of someone else? How far to the nearest grocery!?
