I went over to the storage area after work tonight and the water had receded enough for me to put my trailer back inside the fence. He moved me to a pull thru until a spot opens up on the high side of the lot. Most trailers sit much higher than mine and they were not affected by the rising water. I thanked him for calling me and for keeping an eye on my rig. He said he was going to buy hitch locks for the trailers that were outside the fence but then saw that we all had padlocks. I appreciated the thought. I will need to buy a new hitch lock since the other one broke but now that its inside the fence I'm not in a big rush.
A few of you suggested I find a storage lot on higher ground. This is the only lot I really trust here in town. There is one that does sit on a hill but access is to/from a VERY busy state highway (the main road to the coast) and the location is just not convenient. The other problem is the city where I live is very flat and there are little creeks and streams that meander through the city that flood when it rains really hard.
Oh and it was okay to laugh at my original post. I was laughing too by the time I got home that night. Nasoosie, I'll look into starting that clothing company and you will get royalties for coming up with the name
